@@darkjusticemedia5621 Downtown was cool, really enjoyed walking around and window shopping. Mariposa market, opera house, and number of historic buildings and churches... I love all historical sites and history...

Iwould happily set out on a Saturday to go to Orillia for browsing the shopping streets You have taken me to all my favourites. I used to love to take my young granddaughter to the lovely park at 12 hwy/48 Thinking of Orilla , my family is buried at Saint Columbus Cemetary ORILLIA Thanks again Lvfree Adventures ❤ Mary Canada 🍁
Thank you, a very nice town, with its measured everyday life. Cakes are beautiful, my weakness. Good walk. I liked it, not all the same London and New York to watch, such towns have their own attraction. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I would have to say that the south-ward of Orillia is by far the nicest area and the one that shows a simpler time. Tudhope Park near the Atherley Narrows is typically crazy busy, but a nice walk regardless. I just hope they don't tear it up with dumb stuff. The whole point of parkland is to leave it alone, yet they keep poking at it. You got a Beer Store and Tim Horton's in the same lot and a Circle K and Atherley Diner right there. Good day at the beach... There's lots to do. Go check out the Leacock Home near Moose Beach and take a stroll back in time. Go see show at The Opera House downtown then hit a few of the nice bars and restaurants along Mississauga street. Take a cruise from Couchiching and go tour the islands around the lake. Have dinner at Brewery Bay before sundown. Meet a friend at Mariposa Market in the morning for good coffee. And don't forget to try the 'Soup of the Day' at Apple Annie's. Always great. Born and raised there, life in Orillia, though currently getting busier, is a rather mid-tempo laid-back lifestyle. Mostly quaint and residential, you get a dash of big city challenges in a small convenient locality. Nothing's terribly far. The transit system is 90%. There's usually jobs. Lots of nice little spots to hang out for a bit. Atherley Narrows are the absolute best. I guess every waterfront usually sells, yet it would be a shame to close the door on the historical aspects of Orillia in favor of noisy 'progress' as they call it.
@@lvfreeAdventures lol I grew up just north of Orillia so I’ve read the name a thousand times. I didn’t wanna be a prick about it but I make UA-cam videos as well and knew I’d appreciate somebody pointing out something like that to me.
