If you play lots of competitive games, you'll notice that 9:35 happens a lot. If you can pull yourself out of it, everything changes. It's fun, you don't get mad and you improve so fast. It works in real life too, to just approach things with genuine curiosity.
the 4th habit fits with me the most. I enjoyed it when I started playing Valorant about one year ago. Now, I'm hardstuck at diamond 1. I lose motivation to play and it is because too much focus on the outcome. I hope I can enjoy playing Valorant again. thanks coach
As a bronze player, i don't tryhard the ranks so i can't really understand that feeling, but maybe step back from ranked games for a bit? How about a week of swifts with friends? They have lovely people and perhaps the lower stakes could help you reset your mindset! I hope you get the pleasure that you lost back, and that you'll be able to hit ascendent or immortal :)
This video is exactly what I needed to hear right now ... I just got back into Valorant after about a year off playing other games and I've dropped from ascendant 2 down to plat 3... For the first while I was sure it was my mechanics that were rusty, so I hopped back into kovaaks and hit benchmarks... But as it turns out that's not the problem at all ... I been filling like every game, I been playing super risky for no other reason than to "dunk" on plats. And I've been focused only on winning games and not on my decisions during every round. At the end of the day I gotta play for fun in my free time and I needed to remember that if regaining my previous rank is even important it'll only happen if I go back to my main role and play percentage rounds... It's like I completely forgot what got me up in the first place. So thanks dude, you earned a sub today.
I'm no pro, but i have coached plenty people before. I want to say i really appreciate the points you hit on during the context segment, and how well articulated it was.
idk about the first one, but by filling made me realize that I'm a controller - Initiator main, than duelist/senti. I used to just run it down with being a Jett/Reyna/Iso on my ranked games and worked just fine till I get to Diamond, where playing I cant really outaim everyone anymore. And being a controller / Initiator makes me use my team mates better if they are under performing.
Honestly for me, I started climbing again once I started enjoying Valorant. If any of my friends were hardstuck or smt, I could just que with them and try to have fun with them. Even though we don't win every game, eventually they also started ranking up just because they were having fun.
pretty sure he's made videos about those already. if you go to his youtube profile next to the "community" tab there's a search bar, you can search up consistency or game sense and it'll show you his videos relating to those topics

I'm a hard stuck Silver for 3 acts now. I really like to be coached, but my schedule is kinda scrambles since I only play on an Internet Cafe... plus I don't have funds anyway. But videos like this always keeps me in track in my games.
i know its just a game, and i know win/loss doesnt effect me in the long run but i still get nervous when playing caring about outcome too much. hopefully i can apply the tip
I hard stuck in sliver for 6 months since I start playing valorant and I have no idea how to climb out of low elo. I am a sentinel main, having 1.43KD, > 900 tracker score, consistently placing in top 5 against diamonds in DM so I believe I have decent basic skills for climbing to gold/plat? When there is no one picking smoke, I must pick omen as it is not winnable when we don’t have smoke in our team. When I just pick sentinel and my team fill with controller, it’s really horrible, they just smoke for the enemy’s team or just never smoke. When I try to rotate from mid and ask for a mid smoke or cat smoke etc, no one is responding to me. Game throwers, just keep pressing their W in post plant when we have ppl advantage. Decide to plant default instead of open when we have full site control. And flame others when we lose in post plant as we can’t spam the spike throw smoke. Dry peeking an OP for multiple rounds and never use util to clear OP angles. Instant lock jett who never dash in and take space. Duelist who never clear close angles. Hitting a site with cypher with at least 3 people and never rotate. Never play default and flaming me for not following them when I am controlling the other side of the map at 1:20 Bot fragging 5/1X Sage every time who carry the spike, peek mid and die. Teammates in sliver are too bad that I can’t even play a normal game. I am considering to start playing reyna or jett although I don’t like playing duelist as I don’t like intense close range fights. Is 1v5 every game without util is the only way to climb out of low elo? I have no idea why I am having the same rank with ppl who consistently make these mistakes. I understand focusing on self improvement is more important than climbing rank but it is frustrating when all your hard work doesn’t pay off. Thank you for reading so far.
I was hardstuck in iron bcs am used to CS2 mechanics and the Finals mechanics. After months of grinding I was able to ascend to bronze 1. Only to derank again. First I thought my hard work was for nothing, when I carried iron lobbies I realised, it was my reaction speed which was why I was stuck. Not the aim 😂
Can you expound on the first point? I understand that comfortability will help you perform better individually, but that also won't solve the "no smoke comp" situation where attack side is ridiculously harder since you cannot get onto site as easily. Granted, I'm getting a bit anecdotal here, but still. Is the logic here that on average playing your comfort pick will often bad team comps in aggregate?
I really like this video, im not necessarily hardsuck (yet) i hit diamond last act and yet i still feel like i dont deserve it for how i play, but some of what this video is just saying that what works you should keep doing, and what i do does work even if its unconventional, and even if i cant even beat medium bots in the range yet, when im doing better than my team i should congratulate myself and not be salty i dont have the same aim as them (which is my main problem). If i got to diamond all by myself and ive been able to hold my own without deranking then i deserve the rank, right?
Hey Konpeki, I've been seeing recently in my ranked games people that play smokes like omen or clove and not smoking. Because of that I get trust issues when someone picks a controller role and get tilted in one way or another. What could be the best thing to do if this happens while not taking down the team's mental?. (I am a controller main myself... if you were wondering 😅)
I'm sorry, but what do you mean by "inputs" when you're talking about the last tip. Is it the things that I do and the decisions I make? Thank you and nice video. Even though I don't care much about this game this is just fun to watch. Good luck out there mate!
One thing I have learned: Know when to STOP! Is it worth playing that rank up game after playing a game that was rage inducing? Is it worth the risk of playing while tired?
I instalock reyna evergame i have 500 games and a 47% winrate on her even tho i have a 1.3kd on her and im still managing to climb cause my mmr is so high so i dont think winrate matters
Keep at that win rate and it’ll surely drop, so might as well figure it out now rather than later. Winning is the only thing that matters when climbing
@@mars6840 hmm im asc and it has been working so far and i dont wanna grind for radiant anyway i can only play 2hrs a day its not posseble to go higher
@ tbh u don’t really need a crazy high play time per act to rank up quality over quantity. I play like 5 games a week (comp games) and still hit a new peak every act
But what do I do, when my whole team is making all 4 mistakes in this video, losing every 1v1 and nobody is talking? Cause thats EVERY game I play. I have a consistent kd, I Look for These low risk high reward plays, i try to koordinate with my team, and yet I still have a negative winrate
probably would consider that your "scheduled loss" for the day. I would say that you can still attempt to salvage / reclaim some win rate / RR by continuing to work on maintaining a clean gameplay even while you are losing. You might not win that specific game but you are still developing your skills. Just because we won't win doesn't mean we should train to come in second place
I've constantly uninstall Valorant whenever I lose a game or two, and when I say whenever, it means everyday, I'd show y'all my current W/L, and it's redder than a hickey, I keep spamming deathmatch, BOT FRAG, I play Comp, BOT FRAG, big I can't even remember the last time I won a single game of comp.
No, I clicked on this video to see what u think about that guy from lower ranks that every other game finishes with single digit deaths and 30+ frags, a difference in score that you can see with your naked eye. That guy that you imagine will for sure rank up in a few games and you will never see again, because he is clearly better than Silver. And you queue again, and there he is, just with a different name. That guy that if you have a chance to win against, it's only when you have your own teammate smurf that can match his skill. It's that guy that hires expensive coaches, learns the mechanics, grinds daily and spends countless hours, to just get bored of sweating in DIA/ASC* or whatever, so he instead stomps in Silver and Gold half the games, and trolls on purpose to drop rank the other half. (*ofc I admit not all smurfs are DIA/ASC, but even a high Gold is a smurf in a low Silver lobby)
the blackjack reference is a miss. even with "the best odds" you are at 51%, and it's only sustainable when you have the bankroll for it. It's entirely possible to get very unlucky and lose everything while playing blackjack perfect even at a higher odds than the house. and that's assuming you've master a 2 point system without error

Konpeki to pro arc when???
just because i don't end up filling, i mained Breach (initiator) and Brim/Omen(smokes). Now I don't fill but choose it because i want to use it. Easy
I play so low risk high reward that I get accused of baiting 😂
Nha I don't agree with stick to a single agent I always fill and always match mvp and still climbing rank
I mostlty agree with point 1 but I think that if there is no controllers for smokes it could be harder in general even if you stick to your role...
