@vick291 you're welcome =), Yeah, I have the book also, it's nice to read it sometimes, it has tons of informations. I didn't make many models also, the diagrams are just to fill the book with examples.
tricky, but certainly do-able. took me a good 4 hours but happy with the results. Defo gonna try with som foil paper to get the fine details down. I did it with 35x35cm. Thanks for this Tadashi, and Robert Lang of course!
This tree frog is Awesome and Robert Lang is unbelievable and takes origami to another level! I do not think I could do this reading out of a book! What is recommended type paper? When I was 7 years old, I did the Jumping Frog p. 46 -47 "Secrets of Origami" a compilation of different Origamist (I believe is out of print) by the author and Origamist himself Robert Harbin. The You Tube instruction Tadashi Mori are fabulous, at 51 years old, I think I am ready for the next level!
Okay, I have just finished making some tissue foil with two contrasting shades of green/yellow, I reckon I am going to have a try at this, wish me luck!
@zugohugo The fiery dragon got too flat? hm... I guess you used a big tissue foil then huh. This origami is ok with the tiddue foil, I think it will be easier to make the details in the end... with the paper I used in this video was just impossible to make the details.
There is a better way to do the eyes. Roll a little piece of cloth or tissue up into a ball and stick it inside the layers to achieve a realistic "bulging" look
oh and tadashimori, thanks for the great vid! ive got origami design secrets from Robert J Lang, and i really love the book! i havent made this model yet though..... :)
I think I would get this down some of these folds kinda of similar to the fiery dragon that's really easy I actually remembered ALL OF THE STEPS to the dragon in 4 days. So I think the tree frog is not going be so hard. So thank for the tutorial
how did u manage to break down cp to such simple steps. i managed to fold this model from cp but only by collapsing all at once kinda which was kinda painfull
i remember when i folded a plane or a crane or something and i was like "they are really cool and i can fold these" and they were for me so awesome, but now, i can fold that frog and a scorpion and the leviathan and things like these.
guys..... stop complaining.... if you cant do it, then dont watch! but do not be rude with the one that uploaded the vid. by the way, i couldnt do it, so what? ill just keep trying :)
There's a lot of shaping that happens once the model is completed. It's the part where you get to impart your artistic style. Even if he spent an hour shaping this frog yours will never look like his because you are not him. Every one you do looks different from the last.
Dude, you need to think a little bit more. He said it's a complex model, so it's not meant for beginners to do, or at least, they probably couldn't do it. So when you say something like "open sink", "spread sink" or whatever else, you can suppose that experienced people would know what it means, even if they can't see. So that's how it is, man. Not saying people can't do it, it's just that you gotta start with the basics.
Amazing model, mine came out looking like a 95 year old bullfrog that has not seen sunlight in 5 years but thats alright.
Holy crap....incredible. Who discovers how to make this stuff in the first place?!? Pure genius!
Thank you for making these:) i just finished mine. You are a great teacher
Wow super wow in 41 munites are done
And most importantly: I really enjoyed folding it!
even though I am not experienced with origami I did the model on my first try
@tadashimori folding it from double tissue and mc-ing the details afterwards is the best i recon
Thanks for posting a very honest video, the pen lines made things very clear for me.

How did you get unstuck?
I think I would get this down some of these folds kinda of similar to the fiery dragon that's really easy I actually remembered ALL OF THE STEPS to the dragon in 4 days. So I think the tree frog is not going be so hard. So thank for the tutorial

Epic, you're just as good as jonakashima and robH0629.
guys..... stop complaining.... if you cant do it, then dont watch! but do not be rude with the one that uploaded the vid. by the way, i couldnt do it, so what? ill just keep trying :)
this frog by robert j lang was very easy and the first complex model i have made
@andrewlibbylong Make wet folding with double tissue.
or normal origami using tissue foil.
so i folded a phoenix 3.5, tree frog, fiery, angle, and scorpion all by Tadashi mori and i am ten too !
to play snake: 1. press play 2. hold the left button 3 sek. down 3. by holding the left button down press the up button
I hope you enjoy :D

Great tutorial
@tadashimori can you make a tutorial for the diven dragon (not time lapse or what you did with the dragon you ripped)
And your antwoord is amazing
an origami is hard or easy depending on the the explanations and the details a person gives
LOL I just love ur english! ITS SO COOOL!
@baconman47 Hahaha, yeah, maybe someday =)
the coolest vide i have ever seen!!!!!
i was wondering if you would be able to make the parts at 24:00 later on in the design because they are really tricky
machinist002 that seems reasonable for some videos, but what about the phoenix? there is no official tutorial for that, just the cp
Nice!
He says one square sheet of paper... Some origami models require more than one sheet and others require something other than a square
When you were making the video, was that frog croacs in the back?
thisssssss. thissssss. really wanted to learn how to make this but can't finish thissssssss video.
awesome! thank you for this video
Que tipo de papel crees tu que seria mas adecuado para esta figura?

7 years old me: OMG! WAUW!
what is harder: tree frog or scorpion?
um is this the frog on the thumbnail? it doesn't look it..
There's a lot of shaping that happens once the model is completed. It's the part where you get to impart your artistic style. Even if he spent an hour shaping this frog yours will never look like his because you are not him. Every one you do looks different from the last.
AnimalLover Forever he used better paper and shaped it 1/2 if not all models take 2-4 hours in shaping alone
AnimalLover Forever noob
I tried making mine from 6" kami, and it turned out badly.
If you want bigger paper, go to origami shop.com.Amazon has crappy paper like kami.
i made it!
Can I do this if I did origami fiery dragon?
your nice !
