Brings back good memories! Use to do 100$ hamburger runs from KFFO to Put in Bay in a 79 Saratoga back in 2005. 50 min flight time, loved that aircraft. N3569X.
Great video, being a fellow Ohioan and a newer pilot I really enjoy these. I might have to fly to Ashland for a visit someday to keep building cross country time towards instrument rating!
Great video! I've been thinking about getting a private pilot license and then a plane. My family loves to go places but hate the commercial flying. Our recent trip to the Bahamas is almost 1 whole day from the house to the hotel. This brings up the idea again of getting a license and buying a plane. How long did it take to get to the Bahamas from Ohio?
Sounds like a great idea, there’s always room for a new pilot in this awesome community! Not sure how in depth you watched the video, but we actually flew to Kelley’s island up in Lake Erie. With that being said, a real Bahamas trip would easily take 10+ hours depending on the aircraft.
Hey do you have any recommendations or links explaining the Bahamas airspace? I’m currently a flight student and I’ve be looking over the airspace at and around Freeport and Nassau and it seems like normal delta airspace but then it also talks about class e and I don’t even see any magenta vignettes. Any information you could provide would be much appreciated
Since we’ve never flown down there, we can’t really help with that. I know that Matt Guthmiller has made a few videos explaining that stuff, so go check him out. I don’t want to give you any wrong information, so I’ll just leave it at that. Thanks for watching!

Pretty island. Great restaurants. Fun little airport. May do an overnight this summer. More sane than Put-in-Bay.
Sounds like fun!
Watching from Afghanistan. Makes the deployment go by faster. Keep it up.
Thank you for not only your view and support but also for your service! Hope we can help the time pass a little bit faster!

what is your engine and propeller combination?? Also what year is your plane....
1979 Piper Cherokee 6/300 with a io-540 and Hartzell 3 blade.
How about a trip down south and we can backpack and fly?
Sounds like a plan!
