You two are just terrific as a team. I'm a 78-year-old fan and retired TV guy, so I've sent letters every year for the past five to ESPN, the NCAA, and the AVCA regarding volleyball for television. I'm especially disturbed that, for a game that is seeking major sport status, "most" teams don't put player names on the backs of jerseys. This is insane to me. I also upset that Points Per Rotation (PPR) is not used as a statistic to analyze teams and games. It's a rotation sport, for crying out loud. How is PPR not relevant to analysis? I've also, in every letter, suggested that ESPN NEEDS a weekly volleyball show and perhaps even to bookend matches during the week on live TV. Why not a "Volleyball Today" regular program? You two deserve first shot at that spot. Keep up the great work. I'm a fan, as Funnymaine says, I'm not an analyst but a fanalyst.

I also think how high players can touch is a relevant and fun stat that's not used.

Also best defense in the country Pitt, Nebraska, and Wisconsin ?
Maybe blocking, but that floor defense goes to Louisville. That’s what kept them in that Pitt match along with the win against SMU .
I swear we aren’t watching the same games.

To hear the complaint that WVB doesn't produce enough revenue to invest in, yet see these same institutions continue to place their teams in venues that can't hold more than 2-4K is frustrating. The other side also wishes to hold on to the effects that venues like Greogery and Holloway along with other 'like' gyms have on matches, as the close proximity of the crowd to the playing court and how the structure amplifies or contains the volume, making it louder, makes them reluctant to change. The sport is being held down by the very institutions that claim they want to build it up or that they wish to promote it and grow it...obviously just not at the expense of their wallets nor their existing advantages.
Tyler H. for National Coach... Just saying.
Though...I would love to see a Cook move to National, and get that DBK transfer before she gets too settled in at Louie...if that hasn't already passed.

Among college coaches, my guess would be Dan Fisher. For international coaches I would guess Giovanni Guidetti or Danielle Santarelli.

My guess for NT coach would be Tayyiba Haneef Park. Dark horse guess is Tyler Hildebrand, as he’s coached at multiple elite universities and he’s coached both men and women in Beach at the Olympics. That Olympic experience from 2020 winning Gold could be huge for him.

Isn't he an assistant at USC after being a head coach at Long Beach?

Pls be fr . Tyler hasn’t even proven himself as a coach in the college world yet.

@@alvyhernandez1931 yes but I’m sure anyone would choose being the HC of the national team over an assistant.

B10 network is largely responsible for the increase interest in volleyball. Yes Daniel as an example Nebraska has 5 back to back with 3 of those on the road all so they can be shown on TV. No other team has more than 3.

The Pitt Louisville game was at the Peterson event center, Fitzgerald Fieldhouse is where they usually play.

Field house only holds about 4000. Also used for wrestling.
New Facility is in the planning stages, Soon to be built.
Peterson event center is where basketball plays, Volleyball plays their 2 to 3 times a year for the big opponents like Louisville certainly is.

2 things - Creighton should look at Sec teams - theyre only playing 16 conf games so will have time for a midseason matchup - CU v Gators/Tex/Auburn/Tamu mid Oct wb much fun
Re Big ten tv sked - huge praise to BTN - by far the best network for wvb - air all the big matches - hugely instrumental in the sport’s growth

For NT coach, Tyler Hildebrand has some familiarity with the National programs.

Marv Dunphy, Russ Rose or Hugh McCutcheon making a return. Also believe John Dunning and Jim Stone would do well. Top NCAA coaches shouldn't consider this gig as their current situations are very, very sweet! ...but I'd bet on a woman. Tough gig with all the negative pundits, here in the U.S. and having to make a showing in L.A. with all eyes on them. I woukdn't give that burden to a young developing coach or to anyone who is used to more than 6 substitutions per game.
