I made it through the jungle!! There has been a recent flood of projects with a "class" of knots and a great many users having difficulty chosing the right one or having a lot of difficulty weaving them. I don't have an appropriate name for the "class" but they include: Diamond, Crown, King Crown, Modified Diamond, Wide Diamond, modified Crown, Modified King Crown, Stopper, Celtic Button End, Celtic Button Lanyard, Double Stopper, Double Lanyard, and a few others not noted here. They all look similar but upon close examination or comparison, some look round, some suare, square pointed at the top, some pointed at the bottom, some very large, some with symmetric geometry, and some asymmetric cord. I like your design the best of all and you should probably propose a memorable name so that the paracord community can easily reference it and apply it in their designs.
It took me a little while to notice the difference between your knot in this video and the Wide Diamond Knot I have seen shown in a number of other peoples designs. The difference in the weaving is very minor but it produces results which are significantly different. The Wide Diamond is the same as your variation except for the closing step with the loose end cords. Your loose ends are folded up and through the knot's center while the Wide Diamond process takes those loose cords each 90 degrees past the center and then up after passing their respective cord of the knot's top loop. This Wide Diamond ruins the perfect symmetry and repetitive pattern of your variation. There are many designs in which I employed the standard diamond knot where your variation is way more ppealing and I will be substituting your variation for most of them going forward. Cheers, Murray

Thanks! This is a great looking knot. It's size is somewhere between the diamond knot and the double diamond knot but it's shape is not as round (360/360) as those knots and is more attractive for certain applications.

Yes you are right, its not round.
The top and bottom abit flatten.
