Castelul Corvinilor (Corvin's Castle); Hunedoara, Romania

In October 2023 we spent one week in Sibiu, Romania. While there we rented a car and drove to Hunedoara, Romania to visit Corvin’s Castle. According to the castle brochure, this is one of the most representative monuments to gothic civilian and military 15th century Transylvanian architecture, and it is one of the most visited medieval castles in Europe. During our visit we witnessed a lot restoration work in progress, and were pleased that we were able to access so much of the castle and discover at our own pace.
