I think their mics were on only it certain parts but this video is also showing the backing vocals. You can kind of hear where its their voice and when its backing. But i’d say with this dance heavy performance its a lot of backing than anything. You can hear the difference from this video and the My Way video
Really like the band but agree this seems heavily lip synched - their facial expression don't always match up with the belt they're singing, it's just not that realistic.
I don't know what the hell some people are talking about lipsyncing when you can tell it's not the same as the original song, there are many moments where there are small differences that you can hear
how do you guys live like this? making a big assumption after seeing one video? they sang another one of their songs live and it was beautiful. be insightful
@@moya4502 actually it's not one video, not even from one day. Ever since they debuted it's been like this. K-con, GMA, fan event. Even though they're trained in the k-pop system they're not a k-pop group, so we're not expecting them to be like a rookie k-pop group, we're expecting them to be like a rookie pop western group like little mix and fifth harmony and these groups sang live most of their careers since the beginning. It's expected for western artists to sing live, people didn't go to a Chappell Roan concert to hear playback music, even though she's fairly new into the mainstream industry. She sings live and runs around, jumps around, dances around the stage every single time. I don't know why Hybe is trying to push this backtrack culture into Katseye if they're not a K-pop group. And also, it's expected that they make mistakes, sing out of tune, voice cracks, it's natural. Hybe just needs to give these girls a chance to be live artists.
Dont call me stupid but Genuine question, since xg is a group full of all japanese members, so there are no korean members at sll but they are still considered a k pop group, so like what differs them from katseye?

It's lipsync, it may not be the original song that was played but rather they pre-recorded it before the show
