I think he went back in time to his childhood home and toy box. The doors were always open until he couldn't go back home. The maze is life and the doors are no longer easy to find. When he comes back he's in his room just looking at his masterpiece but around him he's just in a dark drab place, not the beautiful landscape of beauty. Kind of sad...the clock could mean his time is running out.
Beautiful animation made with an outstanding technique. Too bad surreal shit like this scares the fuck outta me. Honestly it really is beautiful regardless

Evocatively compelling. I enjoyed this 7 minute journey. The music was so moving too. I feel more enriched after having seeing this. I'm so glad I found this through the new Incubus acoustic cover of their old song "Agoraphobia", as some of the animations are incorporated into their video. I highly recommend the cover as well as the original version, as it is so fitting for these quarantine times. acoustic cover "Agoraphobia " ua-cam.com/video/3THQQ-wsijM/v-deo.html original version " " ua-cam.com/video/pqIMj-8Dq7U/v-deo.html
Actually this was done entirely with pinscreens (you know the little wall of pins that you can stick your hand into and it'll leave an impression) so it was just rollers on pins and a manipulation of depth that made this animation, which is even cooler in my opinion.
Hard to even wrap your head around what it took to make this movie. Phenomenal.
Art can not be recreated again... that's why it's art.
A Masterpiece for me, no Doubts.
Sometimes our minds drift us to places where we dont want to be, however it shouldnt stop us from wondering and wandering .

nah, it is explain about his depressed mind
This is an intriguing, haunting, shadowy film. I saw it a few years after it came out, and I have never forgotten it.
Knowing how this technique is done makes the whole thing extraordinary for me -- before, not at all.
Thank you so much for posting this! A treasure. Pin screen is fascinating.
Wow, magnificent... So mesmerising, it`s like, you don`t know where the world of the imagination ends or begins - what a gem! Excellente!
Complete masterpiece! Music, art style, just superb. Love the composition.
This is really impressive!
What an incredible achievement!

Imagination is a remedy against loneliness.
To be honest, when I imagine lucid dreams there is usually always a sense of loneliness in the back of my head.
this is really interesting for some reason
Magnifique ! J'aimerais tellement voir un long métrage fait par cet animateur
Knowing how this was animated makes it unbelievably stressful to watch.
Astonishing after so many years
Woooww I really love the Transitions
Well done animation, that must have taken some time.
So fantastically cool!!!😀❤👍

Yah! Me too. That labyrinth scene catched my eyes
I wonder if he is implying that the box is Pandora's Box, it's definitely full of symbolism though with the items contained.
Amazing.
This chalky(?) animation style is my favourite kind.
