    1. Prepare three potatoes and peel them and slice them; steam in a pan for 20 minutes;
    2. Put the steamed potatoes in a large bowl, add two tablespoons of sugar, and squeeze into mashed potatoes; add three tablespoons of glutinous rice flour and knead the dough;
    3. Take a small piece of dough, round it and then flatten it; wrap the appropriate amount of cheese in the dough;
    4. Preheat the brush in the pot, put the wrapped dough into the pot, and squash it into a cake; fry for two minutes and then fry for another two minutes; you can eat it.

      @@adistressedguy5478 It's because rice flour and glutinous rice flour are different from each other. Rice flour tends to make foods hard but the glutinous rice flour makes it soft, chewy and pliable (just like in the video).

    Translation: Basically u peel, slice & steam some potatoes, drain and add some sugar, then mash till smooth. Then add glutinous rice flour (like the flour used to make sticky rice cake or mochi), and knead until formed.
    Then roll into balls, add some cheese, maybe Mozerella. Then preheat an oiled pan, put the potato cheese balls in, pressing gently to flatten a bit. Cook each side on Low heat for 2 to 3min, moving them slightly every few seconds.
    When both sides are golden brown, remove from pan and serve (i would probably put it on a paper towel or rack to remove excess oil).

      I was wondering if you could do this or the flour wouldn't get "cooked" so you could taste the flour. I am gonna try with some corn meal heated with a little water as if I was making grits, but then turn it into the potatoes and see if I could work something out with that. Also maybe fill with some mashed peas.

Here in the south we put a lil sugar in almost everything 💋 I'm thinking that if you wanted to omit the sugar, you could just add a lil garlic powder and a lil more flour to your potatoes and have garlic and cheese potato cakes. I'll try both ☑

      Faith Sc-Lvr what kind of cheese do you use? I’d love to try to make them but there are so many varieties of cheese all with different flavors. So without knowing what kind of cheese to use can make a HUGE difference. Also, is the dough very sweet? If the dough is sweet, can something like fruit, Nutella, jams, etc be used instead of the cheese? Any help would greatly be appreciated as I’ve never seen anything like this and they look delicious and I love trying new things. Thank you!!

    Whoever told me this thing works with all purpose flour was a liar. DOES NOT WORK with all purpose flour. I put 3 cups of all purpose flour and it still didn't look like dough.

      Yeah I agree and think you would have to go 50/50 flour and corn starch, reg flour is not as binding as glutinous rice flour
