Hi Robert. I think I must be a bit weird! I love 911s , but I also love 928s. My first 911 was a 1990 964 Carrera 4, but I've also had a 1991 928S4 and a 1993 928GTS (boy, I wish I had that now...). Air-cooled, water-cooled - who cares? They are all bloody brilliant cars. Currently running a 1996 993 Carrera and it is a right laugh. My wife and I have just got back from a week down in Devon in it and it was a complete blast (& 25MPG!). Brilliant little car (and it is a SMALL car compared to some of the bloated motors out there these days). Good down the lanes, good on the A roads and acceptable on the motorways. Can't wait until electricity prices make running an EV only available to the Bernie Ecclestones of this world...Haha and cheers from a really chilly Otford, Kent.

Hi Neil, just reading your post about your 993 etc. Currently driving a 996 soon to be changed for a 993.
I noticed you live in Otford ,Kent so to the point I'm gonna try and reach out to 993 owners in the southeast ,maybe a meet and drive etc.
If you are interested let me know.
      Thanks Kevin

@@kevinhalpin8115 Sounds like a good idea Kevin. I've got a mate who has a 996 Carrera 4S, I'll see if he's interested as well.

haha thanks for your comments Neil. I've got to say that I love the 928. The GTS especially! I'm sure you know what they're worth these days. Yes the 993 is indeed very compact, especially when compared with newer cars. It's the perfect size for a sportscar IMO. Great to hear that you're enjoying your 993. I'm not long back from holidays so it feels even colder than usual here now!

I always wanted to buy the 993 version of the 911, however by the time it was financially prudent to do so after building a sustainable portfolio the price of the 993 became unreasonable, following the product cycle for value the Cayman 987.2 was the best value proposition. I will hold it and build the equity and I accept that I may never buy a 993 or even a 911. Acquisition of liability such a a mass produced car must follow due diligence any such purchase must be timely. I think I have missed the timing or else my money will be your profit. 😊

Thanks for your comments. The 987.2 is a great car. The price of any Porsche which has appreciated in value is still often reasonable - provided you can get your money back if you choose to do so 😊

Yeh, sadly the boat has sailed. It was funny how people kept slamming on the 996 a few years ago, lol I picked up my 2000 996.1 c2 coups for 5000 usd in 2018, it was a basket case but it was easy to fix once the engine and trans were out the car.
