You need to see the video for context. Basically the little girl is a bit out of place in her town but she eventually finds her people. It is really sweet. Lead singer, Shannon Hoon died too young. He had a great sounding voice. I generally don’t like anything starting with the 90’s, but I love this song.
The song you were thinking of is “What I Am” by Edie Brickel and the New Bohemians or something like that lol And yeah I agree, I def got the same vibe haha
Nice! "No Rain" was one of the musical highlights of 1993. Neo-psychedelic alternative rock is overdone. I think of them as a retro-hippie jam band, perhaps a slightly less bluesy, slightly more folksy Canned Heat. What happened to them was the lead singer overdosed and died. Cheech & Chong had a character named Blind Melon Chitlin', a parody of the 1920's blues musician Blind Lemon Jefferson. I always figured that was where the band took its name from. As noted, the Bee Girl features in the video for the song. Soundgarden includes her in their video for "Black Hole Sun", likely as homage to the departed. I also can't help but think she inspired the film "Little Miss Sunshine".
Thanks. Just jamming. Yes is my favorite by them . I love your channel , cuz you feature all music genres and artists. There's so much music out there. Keep the reactions coming. Music is life.
*Terrible recording. This is a powerful song that sounds better blasted. "Isn't It Time" is their other banger. He had a HUGE #1 solo hit with "Missing You."*
What?!? I know every blind melon song ever recorded. Neither of these songs are from blind melon. Besides. They have more than 2 songs that were “bangers”. Do you even know this band, poser?!?

That was a really big song the summer it came out. 👍
I appreciate this song much more now than back then
I have always loved this song.
The Bee Girl was very symbolic back in the 90s when this song came out. Watch the video ❤ Great song
This was my favorite song when I was around 12-13 years old. Great tune.
