i get ur hype, lamb!!! only we get it - it's a preparation for SLAYYAGE!!! dude, this is a LEGENDARY performance and it is definitely in my top 10 favorite mariah carey performances of all time. actually, this performance is a mixture of the original version (the music box version) plus vocals from the remix, "soul convetion mix" and the remix, "c&c club version", which is almost 11 minutes long!! you HAVE to listen and react to those remixes of "anytime you need a friend"!!! don't worry, mariah re-sings all the vocals in both remixes and they totally give new r&b and gospel life to this already AMAZING song!
and yes, a mariah carey marathon moment would be FESTIVE!!!! you should watch her more obscure performances! i recommend "vanishing" and "anytime you need a friend" live from the NY show in the music box tour 1993. it was recently remastered by a fellow lamb on youtube so it's the best quality of the performances we have in terms of video and audio, but they gave all the lambs LIFE!!!!

You can't be a self-proclaimed lamb and NOT have heard that Remix album. I'm not much of a dance music person, but her re-done vocals on the Club CD (it was a double-cd set, one Club and one RnB) are her best vocals on any album she's ever done. The degree of difficulty is out of this world, even for Mariah. AYNAF is the best mix (C&C Factory, I believe)..but Heartbreaker is not far behind....get on that, 'Lamb'...and be prepared to have your mind blown yet again by Miss Carey.

I was getting all the warm fuzzies when you’d stop and go back and sing it the way she originally does it in the studio version-because I have EVERY note and run memorized too lol The best part imo is at 9:41, when she puts her hand on her hip, leans forward a bit and sings “So don’t you ever be lonely!” Aaaaah the best!! I got them when they first came out and I was 7 for the first one - studio albums (cassette tapes until Rainbow) 1-10. Only one I didn’t have was Emotions…but my sister had it.
Whenever I watch a Mariah video reaction, I unfortunately read at least one comment on other vocalists. It's appalling to notice how they manage to put one against another. But, never forget how big and influential Mariah was in her prime especially in the 90's. So please, let her shine through this kind of concert and video and appreciate her god given talent as a vocalist AND songwriter because her level of mastery and artistry in everything she touched is or was pure genius. I personally love Whitney but also Aretha, Barbra, Patti and the list goes on BUT every vocalist in their own right and level. No one is better than the other one, they just have their own right and legacy. THANK YOU !
