Very well done. Thank you so much. Learned a LOT. Will save $ on recovered paint, and make.cleaning faster as well as far more efficient..Loved the recommendation of 'winterizing' aka ' storage' using a bit of 50/50 antifreeze.
glad you liked the video and learned from it. Yeah once I started doing the winterization I stopped having trouble getting it to spray in the spring. Thanks for watching.
Yes, they have upgraded and re-done the 440. It is the Titan X 440. I love mine. I think the new one is easier/faster to clean. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching. Here is an Amazon link if you want to check it out. amzn.to/49R2uYM
Thank you for explaining these steps because I would have had my sprayer tore up I'm sure of it. So the black knob on the bottom I need to have it facing down to prime it ready with paint and then turn it sideways to start painting?
@@OakleysDIYHomeRenovation101 I checked it out today and I found that the previous owner did not clean the filters like they should have so I got some ordered. I will see about the arrow ➡ though, thanks a lot.
Yes, I rented at stand up 540 from rental store and the clean up is the same, the filter on the machine might be in a different place. Thanks for watching

Yes, but on the side of the black knob should have arrows and say which way is prime and which way is paint. thanks for watching.

Good video! I think you the manifold filter in wrong, the point is supposed to be pointing down
Thanks for watching, will double check but I think that is how it was when I first took it off.
@@OakleysDIYHomeRenovation101 yeah buddy the point needs to be down 👇
What else can you use to clean out the machine if mineral spirits aren’t sold in your area? I’m in Cali.
probably paint thinner, acetone. But if using water based paint only need water. Thanks for watching.
Is this the same procedure with a 540? Just got one and been looking around UA-cam for a video for set up but tough to find one
Yes, I rented at stand up 540 from rental store and the clean up is the same, the filter on the machine might be in a different place. Thanks for watching
Do you leave it on prime when cleaning out?
No I put it on spray when running water through the hose. I will use prime to clean out the uptake hose. Thanks for watching.
I always run water thru my sprayer before I put paint in it. ALWAYS!
I do now also because I put half water/half antifreeze in to to winterize it. Thanks for watching.
You put the filter in backwards
