You're going to need to crank the volume a bit for this one. But at least it comes with a story.
"This was an all-ages matinee style show starting early fer the kiddies. The band was told this and that they should keep the festivities PG-Rated. With Kathleen a full-fledged member of the band, it woulda been difficult, but the promoter spoke to Gibby beforehand and he was assured all would be fine. It's my bet Gibby didn't even convey this to the rest of the band. Accounts from kids in the crowd state it was their first time seeing breasts in person…;))
So the stage was set fer shit to go down, since Kathleen's antics seemingly went forward as normal…the final straw was the pyrotechnics, however. The promoter, Randy Now, became completely unglued and pulled the plug. At this point, security rushes the stage. Jeff hops on drums along with Kathleen and Paul grabs the megaphone and it becomes a tribal noise jam. As Gibby gets jostled around, he throws rubbing alcohol on one of the security guards and ‘jokes’ that he’s gonna set him aflame. This seemingly doesn't go over very well with the crew. Gibby is lucky to escape with his head still on his shoulders.
Only the very ending of this show had come to light prior to billydee coming forward with this version, which is the complete performance, though ends a tad abruptly at the end...cutting off the near riot that ensued ya can't really blame the guy dead men trade no tapes, and best to get the fuck outta Dodge before the gustapo comes in and arrests yer ass or beats on ya like the family mule.
In the Butthole Surfers canon of gigs, there are a few that really stand out fer their mayhem. Really, there are quite a lot in their career, but this one is one of them and you should get it.
