Dude, I'm someone who's watched almost every major 40k lore UA-camr. I've binged every lore video from luetin and arch warhammer multiple times each year for the past 3 years. I've never once been so entranced into listening to narration the way that I was with this 3 part series. You have the potential to become the highest quality narrator of 40k on the internet, you're fucking awesome. When I'm not absolutely broke, I'm donating money to you because these videos are actually audio cocaine for my brain😂 😂 😂
Erm, wow brother. I always feel like people are possibly pulling my leg. But if any of that was not a wheeze, then thank you very much indeed! I won't lie, I am a huge lore addict on youtube as well. Now that I am doing it myself I generally have to take a break, but before that I binged the living daylights out of those guys and a couple more to boot. Its just such a fantastic setting and with so much juicy lore and stories its hard not to be addicted. Perfect escapism. Well, here's hoping it isn;t a bit of a jape and thanking you very much again. I sincerely hope you like more of my run of the mill stuff. I will be taking on the next Primarch soon, but not too soon. They are emotionally exhausting. :)
@@Baldermort I'm just lucky that I only found your channel 2 days past now, for I have still many of your videos left to watch and enjoy! Go forth with good fortune you awesome person!
Reuben Ellis avoid these prognostications. Crickey they’re bad. ;). Steep learning curve. I’m just a fan, like you brother. I don’t know it all. I just have a passion. Don’t we all. Such a good setting, hobby and escape. Do tell me if you can think of anything that will improve the channel and format. We’re all building this channel together in my mind. :).
@@Baldermort I do not currently have any conclusive ideas to suggest, but know that when I do have suggestions I will be sure to comment them on your latest video at said time. Your narrative style really has something special to it, its almost as if the viewer/listeners can be drawn in to experience the words you speak in their very conciousness. To feel their meaning through empathy brought forward from the combination of the stories and your own passion to tell them. Take for example your recent video on the salamanders, it was spot on in encapsulating the heroic noble spirit of Vulkan and and his sons. Part of it made me tear up, and that was due to the deliverance of the narration. If there's one defining attribute for a good teacher/narrator, it's definitely for said individual to be passionate enough to keep learning more about the things they have passion for. Following your current trajectory will prove that in time this channel will grow regardless of any major format upgrades, because it's your passion for the lore that will captivate audiences!
wow. I cannot thank you enough for this incredibly generous and open comment. It makes it all worth while. I do slave over these videos, but only because I love it, as you clearly identify. If I can get just one person to react and to relax and ignore their woes just for a little while - I feel I have contributed this phenomenal community and magnificent hobby. Thank you so much for being so generous. It is more than I deserve.
The hardest blade will break, if slammed into something even harder. And what would be harder, than to see the one real dream of mankind dead and shattered in front of you? Tragedy on its peak.
This made me believe in the dream of the Imperium, of unity, for the humankind salvation. I have never cried to a narration before but i have no regret doing so for this glorious video.
Rogal's tale is a very sad one indeed. Its hardly my work, its the depth of the tale. I think its healthy for us all to have emotional outlets as much as intellectual. So I write the guides with emotion as its more immersive and allows us that vacation from our woes more easily. Everyone else covers the hard lore better than I do, so I do this format as its different and I feel more exploratory and explanatory than the breakdowns others do. Just an opinion tough. I am very glad you enjoyed it. :)
I will no longer refer to myself as a Son of Dorn, but rather, a Son of Rogal. My Hammers of Dorn will now utter the battlecry "For Rogal and The Emperor!" instead of "For Dorn and The Emperor." The Praetorian of Terra lives, and so does his dream. Thank you for such an amazing series.
I’ve only been into 40k lore for about a year (I’m three books into the Horus Heresy series), but Rogal’s story breaks my heart. He was the most loyal in my eyes, and I can’t imagine his thoughts during the heresy
Wow... this hurts so much to listen too. I was introduced to 40k via "If the emperor had a text to speech device" and didn't think much of rogal dorn. This tale makes me respect him more so than any other primarch and feel for him so much. What a legend
Rogal didn;'t have much behind him when I looked around and he does take a panning in TTS. So I decided someone should give his journey a bit of a different spin. A true hero. A glorious primarch. I love most of them. But Rogal deserved better than he was getting in my mind. :) PS> I have issues with one primarch. If you just say 'yes, they are genius level' then look at their actions....... well..... I think the details speak for themselves. But I am moving towards writing and recording Dark Prince. I think it may get me lynched. I don;t see the Avenging Son as others do is all I will say. :)
@@Baldermort You did an amazing job and your a great story teller. I personally am a Black Templars fanboy and i was going to start with those lore videos before you said to listen to Rogal Dorn's story first. i look forward to your story telling on the subject of the Black Templars. I hope by the end of those videos my love for them is enhanced like my respect for Rogal Dorn and not lessened like my respect for Guilliman.
TrustedOne the Templars is not to the extent of Dorn. It’s just an introduction, but I have been told it’s one of my best. Do give it a go. But I habd only ever done Rogal so far in this style. I’m retaining it for primarchs at present. But it’s bloody draining doing them. So none more yet. Soon though. A traitor Primarch is next.
Confirmed: Best 40k Lore Series on the Internet. Best 40k Narrator on the Internet. You tell the story like you witnessed it and because you did, we can too. I can also easily picture you as an Inquisitor educating his Apprentice, relaying the tales, heavy with the weight of their words. Absolutely Amazing Job, Humble Narrator. You have Serious Talent.
Overwhelmingly generous and kind of you to take the time out to state that. I can only try. Glad you enjoyed this entry. Do have a look at Sensei - the starting story is my attempt at the very dynamic you mention. :) Thanks for listening, brother Golbinec. :)
Oh, but this is the wonder of literature! Why it is the very most complex and sophisticated form of art! Literature does not simply describe events, it shows us, lets us feel them. This is how you read, not simply interpreting the words.
@@BIGESTblade I completely agree. I'm a bibliophile and I love to write as well. To me, Baldemort is an example of a master at his craft. When added to his obvious love for and knowledge of the grim dark lore, his vocabulary, tone and ability to place you in the setting elevate him head and shoulders above his contemporaries.
Baldermort, as a Black Templar at heart, and a Son of Rogal, (Somewhat literally actually, my own biological father is an accomplished engineer and leader, has shock white hair, is extremely defensive minded such that our family home was rebuilt inside out as to make it nearly impossible to break in to, and his favorite color is in fact yellow...) You have done our gene father great justice by this series, and despite the time being late, I just wanted to let you know how impressed I was, I was brought to tears several times by your descriptions. Thank you for this jewel which I will be able to share with friends, family and I would even share with my own children one day. Thank you.
This is probably the heaviest story I’ve heard from 40K... To hear of a man such as Rogal, to fight for years clinging on to his dreams, hopes and convictions, only to see them broken... That’s too hard to hear man... Much respect to you Baldemord! You are a great narrerator and storyteller! Your telling either makes me cry out of sorrow or hapiness. Sometimes both. Keep up the good work o’ great bard!
I now understand why Chapter Master Valrak loves this guy so much, and to you, Gentle Bard you have giving me new hope in a troubled time in my life. I shall be as Rogal and stand my ground, never once giving in to despair, fear or doubt. FOR ROGAL!!!
Ma'haut Ail Nazem , The Golden Lion thank you for your kindness, especially when things are so dark. But look up the meanings of the name you have here on UA-cam. Google them. They are mighty. Your names say it all. You WILL get through this period. You will come out stronger, you will come out kinder. It is a learning period only, forging you into a better human. Be compassionate, but be strong. You will endure. One day you will look back on this period now and be thankful you experienced it. It may take a long time for that to happen. But it will. And you will be proud if you keep your head held high and never give in to despair. You got this. X
@@Baldermort the Golden Lions is the name of my chapter, we are the golden sons of the Lion we were the Angels of Aggression but after a vision from the Lion he tell these sons that they are he truest sons and that he is proud of them all, they are his "Golden Sons, his Lions of War."
Ma'haut Ail Nazem , The Golden Lion I love it. That’s one of my favourite parts about this hobby - we can tell our own tales as well. Sounds like a fantastic lore you are forging there. :).
I damn nearly cried. Never before have I felt so emotionally connected to the Heresy. The pain Dorn felt never stung heart-to-heart. Now that I’ve heard this grand tale, my zeal to carry on the Eternal Crusade is burning hotter than ever.
To have a story teller who truly understands his characters and subject is so rare. This story broke my heart it’s everything the Horus heresy was, masterfully told. Thank you.
Masterfully Done!!! This was a roller coaster of emotions , I laughed, teared up and in the end left inspired and most of all I came away with a whole new love for Rogal Dorn.
What makes your depictions special is that you never claim to be "neutral" or "unbiased", just a man recounting stories from an age that he wants to be reborn into! Your enthusiasm may just be the coin that Charon The Ferryman accepts to guide you there!
Thank you so much for this. I have been struck by a cold that has made me next to useless today. I don't have whatsapp I'm afraid. Sorry. :( I sincerely hope to see your site when my head is clearer and I can do more. I hope we can use messenger. Sorry to be so dense. I just get confused with all of the systems I already have to use and the thought of learning another makes me want to weep.
...that painting...i was merely dipping my toes into what had happened within that room with Horace, Sangruinius, and The Emperor...until you described all of this ...By The Emperor...
LOL. I dunno. I learn quite a bit from my fellow fans. Not arguing with you, just another perspective. I am lucky to have some astonishingly kind and patient people to chat to here. I am a very lucky guy.
12:16 I’ve seen this painting 100 or so times in my life. Never once has it struck me as hard as it does now. Thank you for opening my eyes to this hidden beautiful tragedy.
As a veteran for Warhammer since 3rd edition, reading and hearing countless books these three acts have single handed made me believe in the Imperial dream and made the primarchs feel very real. You Sir nailed this story arc, dictation, emotion, intellect and sense of scale was perfectly encapsulated and orchestrated. Shared, liked and re listened.
I believe Guilliman was doing exactly what he was made to do. There was no hubris there, only cold calculations and fail safes enabled to deal with future threats. There is a reason Guilliman was chosen as the acting Imperial reagent, and it was because his whole life was administration and rigid duty. So to hear your representation is almost heartbreaking, because Guilliman was only trying to keep the Imperium from imploding in on itself. Like you said before, Roboute and the Ultramarines are the glue that try to keep it all together. Dorn was lost in self doubt and anger at that time, so Guilliman was of course an easy outlet. Plus the sheer defiance with the Last Wall protocol only reinforces that. After all, even his own sons didn’t agree with the protocol and found it unneeded when Astartes form large contingents all the time to combat massive problems. I feel for Dorn, but he was never the same after the Heresy. A broken man with a future taken from him, and his brothers.
Would Rogal Dorn not be Sir Bedivere in that comparison? The most loyal knight who recieved king Arthur's last order? Also fittingly Bedivere is sometimes depicted as one handed.
AMW ohhhhhnoe that might have been better. But for the ‘questing night’ thing Galahad I believe was better. He found the grail after all. But yes, your suggestion may have me kicking myself. Lol. Thanks for watching. It is appreciated. :)
Yes, Especially as I believe Russ to be Galahad in this instance. He will save Ishia(?) the elder goddess from the garden of nurgel to save the emperor. Of all the Primarchs he is the only one I believe could enter that garden and not be corrupted due to the canis helix. The curse of the Wulfen actually protects those with the canis helix from corruption of chaos. That is how the 13th Great Company fought in the Eye of terror for 10,000 years without being corrupted by chaos. Hence the return of the Wulfen from the eye of terror is just one indication of the coming of Russ.
Thank you for the incredibly generous complement, brother. I did want to end it on a high, but it was only the assistance of Dina, Celadrin, who made it possible. I learn as much from the comments section as anyone does from me, I assure you. Thanks for watching, brother. :)
"his brother dead by his hand... How horus would have howled in pain" Damn the heavy emotion it brought was phenomenal but with your voice?? Yeah perfection
I was brought to tears over the death of Sanguinius.. truly the greatest gift to humanity.. your speech has refilled my purpose, I feel invigorated and blessed by Sigmar, FOR SANGUINIUS! FOR ROGAL! FOR THE EMPEROR! FOR. THE. IMPERIUM!
Thank you, brother Brenton. My opus. I hope I can come even close to this when my next Primarch comes up. It is hard to do, so I have to leave breaks or I would mentally and emotionally melt. Sorry. Thank you again for taking the time to listen and then comment. It is very appreciated indeed. :)
Of all the 40k channels i have seen on this platform, of all the modern day storytellers of 40k i have listened to, you Sir are the best one. Your voice, your way of speaking, its really awesome to listen to. For Rogal
After having watched this video series again through a 2nd (and admittedly a 3rd time) the heartbreak of the longest second is possibly some of the greatest sorrow in all of fiction. But then the triumphant music kicked in when you asked us to take your hand one last time. That's when a tear came, a tear of hope. Hope that in the darkest hour of the grimdarkness that one man is the last chance of humanity. The man Rogal, The Praetorian of Terra. Praetorian Invictus
I;m glad you saw some worth in it. I too think it is an unbelievably tragic tale which rarely gets its rightful accolades. Glad you enjoyed the higher ending. I did want to end on a bang, not a whimper. :)
@@Baldermort the Rogal Dorn trilogy is by far my favorite of your great works so far but I think it is the faintest glimmer of hope that truly captures the heart and soul of 40k in my own humble opinion despite what the "ghouls" may say. To me 40k is a universe so dark and tragic that the only way to survive is to have hope, hope that humanity can overcome the darkness no matter how great and impossible it may seem as the darkness encroaches closer every day. Once again fantastic video
Dude. You need to get paid to narrate black library books (I know I’m like the thousandth person to say this lol) but holy hell man 😂 I just found you and binge listened to your videos all day at work today. Had to go charge my phone 3 times throughout the day because I was draining it 😂
Just remember, I;m just the bard who recounts the tale. Its not mine, just my interpretation. The lion;s share of the glory goes to Black Library and its writers. Thanks for listening, brother. :)
I'm not crying, you are crying! My eyes are just sore. I've been cutting onions that's all. Stop it mate. They are just fictional characters! I don't know what you are trying to do to me but anyway. Rogal mate, do you need a cuddle. I'm here for you mate. Black Templars will make it all better.

I never understood before how people would get so entranced with this universe, how they would be drawn in. But now, now I understand. The longest second, made me understand. For Rogal
Even after watching just a few videos, this is slowly becoming my favorite 40k lore channel. Baldermort is not only an exceptional narrator, but he feels like he's actually from the 40k universe. Like a highly intelligent servitor skull whose been around for so long and has collected so much information that he is able to recount in detail every aspect of the 40k world, like a warm hearted uncle with a lifetime of stories to tell, as if he's taking us on a journey through the grim darkness of the far future in real time, a true *guide* to the 41st Millenium.
Tears, not just for the loss of Rogal, or the loss of the dream, but also for my wallet. I will answer the call and the sons of Rogal Dorn shall soon have some new battle brothers. Starting with the leviathan box, but I know that will only be the start. Thank you for helping me make my decision.
Omg I’m crying full tilt. And I’ve head this story at least a dozen times. I kept thinking I understood what happened..,but there is no way any of us mortals could truly understand what this would be like. Thank you for sharing this story with us!
Im late to this party i know, and i thought i new lore but... Man, this is amazing, damn, I never thought id actually like Rougla Dorn, Well done, very well done, that actually made me cry a little
Brother, this is fantastic. I don't believe for a second any of us are pulling your leg when we say, you are one of the most capable of 40K narrators and storytellers. I don't know for how long. At least the last year, I've been enjoying every video I've watched that you've posted. Not a single one did I find myself not taken aback by your portrayals. The thematic tone you find yourself in is by far the most entrancing. This must be my third listen to this particular series. I always liked Dorn. I found him an interesting and entertaining character. BUT my dear Baldemort. YOU, and YOU alone have been the voice compelling me beyond appreciation for the primarch Dorn. And for loving the man that Rogal was. The descriptive way you approached this 3 part series is by far the most entranced I've been by a UA-cam video. I knew the story. But by the emperor, I was grinding my teeth with how you described the moment with Sanguinius. Truly one one of the greatest narrators of our day. When you tell me to make some time for fun. I have dear brother. I came to you, and you NEVER fail to provide incredible enjoyment. Never doubt yourself brother. You deserve all the praise you get!
I have never given much though to Rogal Dorn. But after listening to this, my heart is hurting and my eyes were watery. I would never leave my legion, the Vylka Fenrika, but I have never respected a man more in fiction than Rogal Dorn. Thank you Baldemort. And then you brought up the Round Table and the Grin on my face and the laugh in my heart grew until it exploded out in a bark. OF COURSE. We know St. George was the Emperor. And the Emperor was certain historical figures through history, Why not Arthur, the once and future king. I am happy to see Leman as the savage Lancelot. This is the best thing ever.
If only modern day writers and directors could manage a fraction of the suspense, plot development, or even give-a-shittery as these 3 videos have. After just a little under an hour the slow unveiling of the Vengeful Spirit painting hit me like a cyclonic torpedo the likes of which it had never done so before even after seeing it repeatedly in passing year after year. Damn man, subscribed.
Well, they have a lot of pressure on them to perform. When everything is reaching for being the next big hit - its tough and constrains creativity I guess. I have nothing to lose but the respect of the community here *gulp* - not millions of potential haters who can actually wreck my life? Just a thought. I know zero about it as this is my first foray into any form of entertainment. I think I am jsut on a lucky streak really. :) Thank you for all of your time in listening and then in commenting. I appreciated it deeply. :)
I have watched every lore video that I could find. I've watched 100's, if not 1000's of hours of lore content about this amazing universe. But I have *never* felt so connected as I have watching any of your videos. This one especially. It strikes something deep within me. I find myself rewinding the video to the moment that second starts, over and over again, listening to it all. Thank you for bringing this universe to life for us all.
These videos were sent to me by a friend. And have successfully gotten me into 40k. Thank you, Fair Narrator, for regaling me with this tale. For Rogal, For the Angel.. For the Dream
I'd like to echo what Reuben Ellis stated a month prior. I've watched every major Warhammer lore channel, Arch Warhammer, Luetin, Chapter Master Valrak, Commissar Gamza, 40k theories, etc. The only one I watch with any frequency is Arch because what I look for most in a Warhammer lore channel is not raw information, I can get that from lexicanum. What I want is another fans interpretation of the events and stories, and their opinions, which I think Arch does the best out of them. You my friend are going to be the second lore channel I watch with frequency, I've already subscribed and turned on notifications. I don't tend to give out compliments easily, but you've definitely earned yours. What I find so great about your way of things is the passion for the universe you put into your work. In addition you were blessed with a perfect voice for this. The first video I watched today was the Alpha Legion video, and I thought the excerpt from the Arbites was a direct clip from an audio drama. Beyond just the sound of your voice, your presentation of the stories is fantastic. I swear I'm being read Imperial history lessons by Gabriel Angelos himself when I watch your videos (Gabriel is my favorite character from Dawn of War). I also really enjoy the lengths of the videos, I like to put videos like this on in the background while I play video games, or draw. It's really nice to just let something run for 30 minutes to an hour while I do. I can't currently think of any criticisms to help you improve. Other than you don't have a 50+ minute video or even short series about Ciaphas Cain, Ursurka Creed, Ahzek Ahriman, Gregor Eisenhorn, or Marek Grimaldus. So I guess that's my suggestion, those are some of the characters I find really interesting, especially Ahriman and Grimaldus. If you've watched Arch Warhammer Siege of Vraks series, I'd suggest doing something similar for the battle of Helsreach. Despite my love of the Warhammer universe Helsreach is the only book I've managed to fully read thus far, and I'm working on the Ahriman omnibus currently. The story of Helsreach is so fantastic, it encapsulates everything I find so fantastic about the Imperium and their heroism. If the Templars were not already my favorite chapter after reading Helsreach, they would have been after. And I think you can do to that story the justice Richard Boylen did with his Helsreach animations.
I'm not in actuality a 40k player (though if I were, I'd be drawn to the Adeptus Sororitas being female myself, and loving the lore of those fanatic-fervent-fearless Daughters of the Emperor)... but I'm one of those who have been drawn in to the incredible universe of lore, especially seeking these kind of recitals and readings of it - and I am most sincere in saying that you are an astonishing narrator: that voice which has so much scope and expression (from gravelly-stern to smoother wheedling whispers to manic joy to profound sorrow), your dedication and passion, research, knowledge and flavour in forming your words. I'm hooked, gentle narrator. Hooked, and subscribed. :) Thank you for the gargantuan work you take on to provide us with such quality content.
@@Baldermort thank you for the warm welcome. :) I can thank the story of Evangeline, that of the Sisters Repentia and stories like the one you told of the miracle that healed and embolstered the guards here on your channel that struck me the most. And the history of the Sororitas is so very vast. But this story that I commented upon? Had me in tears. Longest second, indeed!
This is unbelievable - I am absolutely captivated by Rogal Dorn's story and the way it was told by you. Being new to Warhammer 40k - I am soaking up every piece of lore I can find but this is something else entirely. Listening to you, Baldermort... I feel like I was there!! Now that is an incredible feat of story-telling. Thank you for your dedication and I will continue to listen your voice. 💞
This was a beautiful tale and you had me crying over the longest second it was heartbreaking, you narrate these tales so well with such emotion you should be given an award I'm just so glad I found your channel as you give me the lore I love.

finally today I decided to watch all the three videos back to back. This is something. I'm speechless, at 01.30 in the morning, touched deeply, and with a great, great desire to build, paint and play a WH30K army; yellow and red. really, thanks. FOR ROGAL
B no he didn’t he thought Horus won so he stayed home and built up his empire. Then came in after and acted like he ran things and broke up the legions and that made Rogal go off and get almost all the iron fists killed. Girlieman is extremely arrogant and controlling at this point....but I will say he gets better in the 41st millennium
@@sdot8797 Lies, Vulkan was waiting to move the emperor to Ultramar if the palace defenses fell. Guilliman wanted to be there helping his brothers. He fought through waves of perturbos rear defenses to get to Terra and help his father. Guilliman wanted peace, he wanted the imperium to be ruled by men and believed in mankind more than anyone except maybe vulkan. He is the bravest Primarch of them all. While every other primarch is hiding or dead Guilliman is there calculating defenses for every sector. He could go run off and hide but instead he wants to save humans. If it wasn't for him BloodAngels would of all died.
B you said Vulkan..do you mean Dorn? Dorn planned the entire defense and heard no response from guilliman and during this time guilliman built up a separate empire thinking that Horace had already won and he was cut off from the imperium. At the end yes he did head home but I’d say the space wolves safed the blood angels. And when guilliman was brought back from the dead he took total control from the high lords that doesn’t sound like letting man rule. He wanted his men to be rulers of worlds after they finished uniting the imperium. Trained them to be diplomats to be the rulers throughout the imperium. Bravest? Again I’d say facing 8 traitor legions on his own and securing and planning the defense of terra for how long he did and not giving up that’s brave. However I will agree to disagree. It is a matter of opinion and everyone has their own. I won’t say you’re wrong but I disagree lol
I have always seen Rogal as a joke of being like a child with lego but after this 3 part narrative I have thought of him as the greatest and strongest primach for, as you said to hold off all of the forces of hell. In my eyes I think he is the strongest warrior of the imperium. All thanks to the brilliant and I Mean Brilliant Narration. I thank you for taking up the hard task of telling us this brilliant story. So I say one last time thank you Baldermort for your service.
Wow! At the end Im smiling and have tears in my eyes of such an epic prophecy! That would be the most insane thing that would ever happen! Thank you! You are truly a gifted balladeer, with such a captivating voice and way of telling a rich story in your own way! I found about you a few days ago! New fan! FOR HUMANITY, FOR THE IMPERIUM, FOR THE EMPEROR, FOR ROGAL!!!!
I just watched all three of these back to back, and I feel honored for the chance to have done so. You make me want to be a better writer, and motivate me down that path. Thank you again, Brother Baldermort.
Rogal Dorn is the most heroic and valiant of all the Primarchs next to the Angel. After watching this series it'd be a great challenge to change my mind.
I think Guilliman is the best and most heroic. He raced back to terra to save his brother and father. He had to fight through a galaxy of traitors to get home. Now in 40k he's the only one who is brave enough to fight ALONE without his brothers or father. He's the best. Probably the best character ever made.
@@samkostos4520Yet he was arrogant and ignorant enough to force the codex on Dorn and the others, and was more than willing to start a second civil war. He didn’t fight and bleed on Terra, Rogal did. And Guilliman will forever remain my most despised and hated primarch.
@TheSascatch The codex astartes is brilliant. No legion has fallen to chaos since its construction. However, entire chapters have fallen. If those chapters were a singular force the corruption could of spread throughout the entire legion. Especially, those legions without primarchs.
@@samkostos4520 Dude, no shit no legion has fallen to chaos since, there aren’t any legions left 😂😂😂😂 wtf are you talking about??? The problem isn’t the Codex itself, it’s Guilliman being a complete scumbag.

I'm am so glad that I was recommended your channel and subscribed. Thank you for the service of entertainment that you give us.
This is just mind blowing the cool. The longest second. The only way I can see the most famous image of warhammer 40k. Thank you for the inspiration Rogal still dreams of the great imperial truth. And the Arthurian hits you put forward is definitely how I view the what the primarchs have been up to.
Never in my feeble life NEVER.... have I had anyone have such power with words to move me to tears.... and the thrust upon me the greatest elation and pride, but most of all, Hope, hope that the Imperium has a bright future and that the dream lives on and thrives within the hearts of those who believe, for it is only when we give in and give up, do we truly fail and lose. You my dear sir have earned my subscription and more, your skill with words is one that can not be rivaled and is unmatched, much like the Lions tactical genius. You have inspired me and i know now what army I shall build for myself, the sons of Rogal stand proud, FOR THE EMPEROR AND ROGAL, GUARDIANS OF HUMANITY
Steven Woodman-Dix Brother Dix! I hope you get better swiftly brother. Always keep fighting. You are the first and last if your kind. Unique. Worth fighting for. We’ll all be shouting you ok brother. Always.
What an emotional rollercoaster, I have wept, I have cheered, I have plumbed the long dark teatime of the soul and risen phoenix-like to a new dawn. You are probably the best 40K loretuber I have ever encountered, even Lutein09 - who I would rank most highly - falls short of the pathos you put into your oratory.
Mine is only a starter channel. The LTs of the world know a heck of a lot more than me and research better. I am just trying to reengage people;s love of the setting and bring in new players really. Mine is an odd take on the setting, I know, but I do feel humanising the characters a bit more makes it easier for new people to get into it. But what a magnificent hobby and setting it is. :) Tnank you for joining us on the channel, brother WizardJim. :)
Tragedy of epic proportions told with care...and hope.. and gusto! This is some of your finest work brother. I was completely absorbed... "For Humanity! For the Imperium! For the Emperor! For Rogal!" May he return.
Thank you, brother Chris. I did put my all into this one. Still only an introduction - but it was the start of getting our own style. I was going to do another primarch soon, but they are a bit draining. Takes a bit of care and a lot of head space to get into their mindset and their tale. Weird, but true. Doing Rogal nearly made me quit. But, thankfully, I didn't. :)
I'm in tears right now after listening to all 3 parts of this story. My heart has swelled with pride and you have made me a believer in the Imperium and in Rogal! I swear I can envision myself clad in the armor of the Imperial Fists shouting those words you spoke of with the rest of my battle brothers! Thank you for that... For the Imperium! For the Emperor! FOR ROGAL!!!
As a Black Templar, as a child of Rogal Dorn, I have swore many vows. And here I am swearing a new one along my glorious brethren. For Humanity, for the Imperium, for Their Emperor, and for Rogal. Just watched the three acts of the life of Rogal Dorn, it was a pleasure, thank you very much. You earned this new subscription.
Simply Amazing! This video is on the same level as Luetin and Wolf Lord Rho! Keep it up and this channel is going to explode! One thing, the new IF codex states Rogal "vanished" and is not dead.
MiniatureMasterClass thanks!!!!! High praise indeed. I can only hope the rest of my work does not disappoint. Would you believe I didn’t make time to even read that book until last week? Heavy schedule. Lol. Thanks!
I've seen my share of 40K lore videos and your narration is truly beautiful. I'm sitting here listening on the verge of tears and I hope to see more on the Primarchs. Thank you for this.
I'm a guy that doesn't play the game, but enjoys listening to lore while I play games. Something about this series, particularly this video really moved me. Great job.
Never before has narration of a lore video so thoroughly captivated me. Once I began listening, nothing could stop me from hearing out this heart-rending story. While not a die-hard fan of the sons of Dorn, I now respect, feel for and admire Rogal Dorn leagues more than his ultramarines counterpart. Thank you for this insightful, tragic and moving story. Definitely subbing for more.
I have listened to so many differnt lore channels here on youtube and your videos are the only ones who have given me chills! Im proud to say that you were not the only one who said "For the Emperor, For Rogal"
Phoney72 that is amazingly gracious of you, brother. Thanks for listening and taking the time out to comment. It is very appreciated indeed. Thank you. :).
I rarely comment, but have been an avid 40k fan for over a decade (after discovering it in a desert far away while serving), and I just recently discovered your channel. Just wanted to say thank you sir, your narration, your perspectives, and finally, the hard work. Truly do appreciate it mate.
For fucks sake Baldemort. A minute ago I was sitting in front of my monitor looking for recreation after a pretty exhausting day and all of a sudden I want to follow you into battle.
Someone recommended me this series after I showed some interest in the Warhammer lore. I knew nothing of it prior to this. Finished Rogal's story. I feel like I've just read 700 pages of a 3-volume book series, and I loved every moment of it. The narrator is the best I've ever listened to - so much passion, pathos, and emotion put into every word. The love for this lore is palpable. And Rogal Dorn is a goddamn gigachad. What a hero, what a man...
Rogal didn't break on the bridge because he was weak, but because he had been strong for too long.
The hardest blade will break, if slammed into something even harder. And what would be harder, than to see the one real dream of mankind dead and shattered in front of you? Tragedy on its peak.
I understand your intent brother Anthony but that quote needs to stay buried in 2012 where it belongs.

FOR ROGAL!!
DORN LIVES!!
Only Baldemort can spend 3 hours telling me a story I already know and keep me spellbound the whole time
I got very lucky. :)!
I've listened to all three twice in two days and will again before the week is out
This made me believe in the dream of the Imperium, of unity, for the humankind salvation.
For Rogal! For the Emperor!!
I will no longer refer to myself as a Son of Dorn, but rather, a Son of Rogal.
My Hammers of Dorn will now utter the battlecry "For Rogal and The Emperor!" instead of "For Dorn and The Emperor."
The Praetorian of Terra lives, and so does his dream.
Thank you for such an amazing series.
For Rogal!!!!! For the Emperor and his Emperium!!!!
For the Dream! For Rogal! For the Emperor!
Gonna be honest, Rogal's is the most heartwrenching story I've ever had to read. I am not ashamed admit that I cried hearing this.
This also makes me loath guilliman entirely as selfish and unworthy of his status
Rogal didn;'t have much behind him when I looked around and he does take a panning in TTS. So I decided someone should give his journey a bit of a different spin. A true hero. A glorious primarch. I love most of them. But Rogal deserved better than he was getting in my mind. :)
PS> I have issues with one primarch.
@@Baldermort i wait eagerly for more friend!
Thanks for listening, brother Golbinec.

My favorite primarch given the right kind of treatment, the heroic tragedy that is the story of Rogal Dorn. We endure.
Thank you for listening, son of Rogal. :)
I too love my story... I still fight don't you worry.
I actually cried when I listened to this part. I've not cried since I were a child.
You, good sir, are the best narrator of WH40K lore ever.

This was a roller coaster of emotions , I laughed, teared up and in the end left inspired and most of all I came away with a whole new love for Rogal Dorn.
Thanks Inquisitor. I had worried it might be a bit too much. Then thought - Its Rogal - I can't dilute it. Really glad you liked it. :)
Common parlance is "40k has no good guys" ... and Baldermort's gravelly tone protest, "but.. what...if... "
As an ultramarine player, and a scion of Guilliman my respect for Dorn and the fists only grows with time.
Tow sides of the same coin, some say - Roboute and Rogal. Thank you for listening, brother Patriarchy.
What makes your depictions special is that you never claim to be "neutral" or "unbiased", just a man recounting stories from an age that he wants to be reborn into! Your enthusiasm may just be the coin that Charon The Ferryman accepts to guide you there!

Honestly broke my heart listening to this, this has the potential the be the best out of all the war hammer 40K channels. Just breath taking
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
That what makes greatest tragedies - honest conflict of reasonable, well supported arguments with no good options.
@@TheSatyrblue hmm. I think sanguinues fits Galahad the best. "The pure"

Thank you for all of your time in listening and then in commenting. I appreciated it deeply. :)
FOR ROGAL!!!... I'm not crying, you're crying... Well done Baldermort. You do him proud. This is incredible, I look forward to more your amazing work.
Jake Veith For Rogal!
Thanks for watching. Taking a week away, but back soon and right back on it. :).
Wow, thank you!
And I think you can do to that story the justice Richard Boylen did with his Helsreach animations.
you made me cry..., very nice work, thank you! the sorrow in your voice captured that tragic moment perfectly.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. Welcome to warhammer sister. :)
Holy shit, now I’ll be useless the rest of the day. Excellent job on the series, all the videos actually. Easily my favorite lore channel now.
Speechless...what a masterwork!
For Dorn!
Thank you very much indeed for your amazing generosity. I can only hope that I do not let you down when the next Primarch comes up. :)
I’ve Envisioned This Before
Long Before any Lore Reading
My Visions Are Beautiful
The Emotions; Potent
Giving Yourself Over to Your Imagination; It’s Enough to Cripple Yourself
One of The Greatest Moments in 40K
I've heard this story too many times to count, and still got teary eyed. Utterly amazing.
You broke me down and then....Then you you raised my hopes for the breaking of a new Dawn. Thank you.
finally today I decided to watch all the three videos back to back.
This is something.
I'm speechless, at 01.30 in the morning, touched deeply, and with a great, great desire to build, paint and play a WH30K army; yellow and red.
really, thanks.
FOR ROGAL
Best 40k story told by the best narrator on all UA-cam 40k vids..
This was amazing.. I came back months later to cry again..
Ultra Marines a day late and a dollar short to get to the battle of Terra...
Russ should of been on that bridge with Rogal.......
His pride doomed all as much as the lateness of Robute and the Lion
At least Guilliman tried to help
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you for listening brother Khan! I am elated you enjoyed it. :P)
The retelling of this story is the first story in a long, long time that has brought me to tears.
This is and was absolutely MAGNIFICENT
both the tragedy - where you could have left it, and the grail quest - which lets face it is setup in nurgle's garden - magnificent in every way.
Timing just perfect - tugged on my soul like its meant to.
I'm in tears here... both ways
THANK YOU
This series gave me life. I'm in tears. Thank you for making me FEEL again. Thank you for pulling me out of The Abyss.
Dear Sir,
As I listened to your retelling of the lore; my mind has been blown away.
As I sir here on a quarantined Saturday night binging your videos l felt like a child roaring into battle. I'm am so glad that I was recommended your channel and subscribed.
Thank you for the service of entertainment that you give us.
Epic storytelling through pure emotion. You can FEEL the gravity of the suspense, the determination, and the DREAM! Bravo, bravo!
What a Trilogy! Bravo my friend. For the Emperor. For Rogal.
04:00 am
What a story to hear before going to sleep.
FOR ROGAL!!!
Thank you brother Wolf! (Great icon brother) FOR ROGAL!!! :)
I’m in hospital again, and this wonderful saga has inspired me to keep fighting for life!
Steven Woodman-Dix Brother Dix! I hope you get better swiftly brother. Always keep fighting. You are the first and last if your kind. Unique. Worth fighting for.
We’ll all be shouting you ok brother. Always.
Looking at your chanel Steven. I'm glad to see you living life to the full 2 years later.
You definetly remembered to leave time for fun.
Tnank you for joining us on the channel, brother WizardJim. :)
@@Baldermort I think that Lutein, Ocullus and You are Three Musketeers of W40k lore - each complementing each other.
Thank you very much loved ever minute. I’ve never listen to or read anything that’s made me feel so much Pride. For Dawn and him and Earth
@@Baldermort In my mind you channeled his spirit spectacularly.
Lol. Thanks!
I would love to see a collaboration between Baldermort, Wolf Lord Rho, and Oculus Imperia!
Baldermort's Guide to Warhammer your work doesn’t disappoint at all my friend. Keep doing what your doing..it’s my life blood.
In all my times hearing the climax of the horus heresy, this is the first that nearly brought me to tears. You sir are a truly gifted story teller.
I just found this..and im moved.
Hot dawg
Thank you for your work!!
For the gene-progenitor I cried. At 27:00 I saw the dream lost, good job Baldemort. You make storytellers everywhere proud.
I have listened to so many differnt lore channels here on youtube and your videos are the only ones who have given me chills! Im proud to say that you were not the only one who said "For the Emperor, For Rogal"
This was brilliant man. I've heard this story a hundred times and still listen to that on tenterhooks. Thanks
Phoney72 that is amazingly gracious of you, brother. Thanks for listening and taking the time out to comment. It is very appreciated indeed. Thank you. :).
@@Baldermort I've no doubt your video schedule will be full already but I recon you could do the Badab War proper justice
I rarely comment, but have been an avid 40k fan for over a decade (after discovering it in a desert far away while serving), and I just recently discovered your channel. Just wanted to say thank you sir, your narration, your perspectives, and finally, the hard work. Truly do appreciate it mate.
Thank ye kindly brother. :)
For fucks sake Baldemort. A minute ago I was sitting in front of my monitor looking for recreation after a pretty exhausting day and all of a sudden I want to follow you into battle.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Someone recommended me this series after I showed some interest in the Warhammer lore. I knew nothing of it prior to this.
Finished Rogal's story. I feel like I've just read 700 pages of a 3-volume book series, and I loved every moment of it. The narrator is the best I've ever listened to - so much passion, pathos, and emotion put into every word. The love for this lore is palpable.
And Rogal Dorn is a goddamn gigachad. What a hero, what a man...
