Thank you so much for making this video! You touched on a lot of topics that really needed to be addressed. It's very true that none of us know enough about the universe to make fun of anyone for their beliefs. Like you, I learned about the science and history of minerals when I was studying to be a gemologist. (Side note: I took an astronomy class in college, and I agree - it was really hard!) I collected loose gemstones for years and then started buying mineral specimens. A few years later, I became interested in energy healing and working with crystals. I've seen some posts on geology boards like the ones that you referred to. The people who make those posts are both ignorant and arrogant. Nikola Tesla was a scientist and a genius. He studied quartz extensively and believed that crystals were living beings. That sounds pretty crazy to the average person, but having worked with them energetically, I believe that he was right. 😊✨💫

Some of my earliest memories are squatting over the gravel driveway, looking for pretty rocks. Collecting them is something I've come back to again and again. I love learning how they were formed and I also love considering how they came from the depths of the Earth, under so much pressure, into my soft, fleshy hands. I've been a very scientific thinking person my whole life. The older I get, the more importance I feel for exploring the metaphysical side of everything, including these beautiful rocks that spoke to me as a child.
I just purchased some pieces of chrysoprase in an order from your shop because it's so pretty and because the description says it brings joy and optimism and heals emotional wounds. Do I think it's going to be glowing and I'll hear the faint whispers of drums and chanting when I take it out of the box, and magically all of my problems will fade away? Am I being scammed and overpaying in my emotional state? Well, considering the amount of time and energy it took someone to research, find, tumble, and market them, I don't think $3.33 is unfair. And, more importantly, when I see that beautiful color, I'll remind myself of the things I need to do in order to heal the wounds I have. I'll place them in spots in my home where I'll see them and be reminded, maybe in a moment when I need it very badly. If a geologist wants to throw a tantrum over that, then I feel badly for the amount of time they'll lose over it, especially since it won't change anything; the magic will have still worked for me. Making fun of others for any kind of curiosity is just silly. Thank you for making this video!

I took one geology class in college because I needed a lab science. I suck at science, and geology was no exception, but even though I struggled a lot with it, I actually really liked it (I had a great professor, which helped). I kind of forgot everything I learned lol, but I’ve always felt very positively about geology compared to chemistry, physics, etc. that I was horrible at and found super confusing. So thank you for your content! While I know more about crystals from the metaphysical side of things currently, I’m super interested in learning more about the geological side!

I took Geology in college too - though just a few courses, I don’t have a degree in it. While I do believe crystals/minerals/rocks have special energy and properties, I love learning about the geological aspect of them just as much! Some of the geological things I learn about them color or add to what I believe about the metaphysical side of them!

Thank you for making this video 💖 Personally, I don't believe in metaphysical properties, but when did it become ok to look down on people due to what I would classify as religious differences? What I believe is not necessarily right. I have a huge interest in geology, and I have collected minerals/ crystals since I was little. Now as an adult, I tend to go for things that I find have interesting geology, is rare, and looks beautiful. Like old stock Ocean jasper and Larimar. I have a "what if" attitude with my pieces, though. I tend to think about it as the placebo effect for myself, but they do give me a lot of peace. I have nothing but love for people who have this in their belief system. I think it's beautiful. I also love minerals and crystals that have cultural significance and history, I love studying that. Like Gobi desert eye agate, for example.
I love your channel. While I came here to learn or refresh knowledge about the geology of the mineral you are talking about, I always watch the metaphysical part as well. I don't think it sounds crazy or weird, I just learn about new concepts that people have in their belief system. I also note some of the things that the mineral/ crystal "helps" with as "this represents" instead. So if I wear a rhodocrosite bracelet, I can tell myself "this represents love, peace, compassion and authenticity" and so on, and it will remind me throughout the day to be more compassionate. This just gives me a bit more depth and meaning when it comes to my collection.
(Hope this was written ok, English is not my first language).
Also, as a side note: I love looking at people's crystal collections. Everyone has such a unique taste! a piece that I would not buy looks so beautiful with another person's collection. Does anyone here have an Instagram account where they share their collection? or mineral/ crystal content? Mine is kamilla_crystal_collection if anyone wants to stop by 😊

I’m in some geology groups on Facebook. You want to really make them lose their 💩? Two words: Pink Amethyst (Heaven forbid you post a picture of your pink amethyst, and call it that….😂😂😂). But, if you really want to make them angry, say Auralite 23.😂 They claim that it’s chevron amethyst, even though chevron amethyst is only a mix of amethyst, smokey quartz, and quartz! Also, saying Mystic Merlinite will also really tick them off! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 And, heaven forbid you say Moss Agate…..🤪🙃😂
