Tupac had premonitions about his death. There's an interview with Smooth B from the hiphop duo Nice n Smooth where he talks about how Tupac told him about seeing his death. He knew his clock was ticking. He gave us everything he could before his time ran out.
Yes the ultimate sacrifice give his life and truth for his fans, culture and people of all walks of life. It is beautiful to see theses so much that been inspired by the real goat.
Pac's line's They wanna bury me I'm worried, no need to lie, "I pray to God I don't scream when it's time to fry." If you listen to his tonality on that line, he's implying that he's already concluded he's going to hell 4sure because of his history. Erie, amazing reaction man, it was really entertaining, great energy, thank you.
2pac's lyrics are unique and no one competed with him when he was alive and after he died I never get tired of hearing his music, it's special, what a pity that there are no longer rappers like that
This is one of my personal favorite Pac joints. Completely on edge and paranoid. The beat is fire and the lyrics are an open window into his mindstate, at the time. As troubling as it is, the song is fire.
I can tell your truly feeling his words and want to grasp every word Pac says. Tupac once said "real eyes realize real lies". Your legit, it's a breathe of fresh air from the rest of the phonies who pretend for views.
Damn i agree that was deep … only pac could drop a question like that at the beginning of a track… and with a voice like that 🫠🫠🫠🫠 P͟͟R͟͟O͟͟P͟͟H͟͟E͟͟T͟͟I͟͟C͟͟ 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💯💯🫡
Immensely powerful "Only fear of death is coming back reincarnated" "They wonder is I'm hellbound, Well hell can't be worse than this cos I'm in hell now" He gave all he had to life, to make people see and understand, to make things better. For what?
I think this track was supposed to be on Me Against the World but when Pac heard Biggies Ready to Die, he scrapped a few tracks so it wouldn't appear he was biting biggie when in fact biggie was biting him but at the time he allowed it cause they mates, but he brought it up after getting shot, cause these was some of the things he was allowing to help his people out, same way when snoop and cube bit him, "mind on my money money on my mind", "yeah yeah" true Pac heads will know what I'm talking about. Even style hoodie baggy jeans and timbies, yes all of new York was rocking it but Pac brought it to the mainstream and the versace wearing way before bad boy, yes Haitian Jack introduced it but Pac rocked it. Check his sneakers limited edition etc, big ass chains and yes slick Rick etc etc but again Pac made everyone else want to do it. Pac pioneered plenty and never ever got any props for it and never botched about it, man was a Don.
Yeah. This was the first time that I've heard this one. Pac never missed a beat when it came to intuition and interpreting life. You can't pull the wool over the eyes of a gifted, born visionary. You can definitely tell that he knew his time was nigh. He was having clear-cut premonitions about it. And I'm glad that he shared those visions with us before his departure. Rest in peace my brother. Once again Mark, great job.
I may be wrong but he recorded this before the 94 Quad shooting. This song is on the album R U Still Down which was released in 1997. He does say phone bills.
This has always been one of my favorite songs because of the lyrical genius.. He's expressing the emotions that many young men in the America's experience with the weight of the world on our shoulders but also saying he's had enough and ready to die.. He says his only fear of death is reincarnation as his way of showing no fear and letting everyone know not to try him.. This song was written for "me against the world", I believe, and was left off, as many other later released gems were left off of it too.. it's his best album, or maybe 2nd behind Makaveli imo because of the raw emotion and lyrical prowess over excellent production for the time, It's the reason he said Biggie took his style (ready to die) talking about death & depression etc.. "2pacalypse now" was his 2nd album btw, I heard u wondering about it in another video.. it has "i get around" and "keep your head up" on it.. I'm looking forward to your reviews of "Thug Style", "street fame", "who do you believe in", "watcha gonna do" and every other 2pac song ever made 🤣.. Much Love and respect for your detailed reviews Hector.. You're very intelligent and your reviews are unique to say the least..
Yeah, only fear of death was planed for me against the world an felt of later. In my opinion one of his best and most emotional tracks. Furthermore I think me against the world is his deepest album. During this is era he was just raw and clear when it comes to express the feelings of Daily hustle and struggle plus talking about serious paranoia, depression and hopeless thought the best form of poet passion put on music. As u mentioned the changing of his demeanor, you can see this process at its peak during the period of Me Against The World. Being shot and betrayed and being sentenced to the pen, must had a massive impact on his complete mind state and his demeanor.
I feel the same emotions with pain. Same period. Thanks for info about it supposed to be in Me against the world. I play and rewind this track a thousand times
Remember, though all of what he's rapping was reality in his life. However he also aligned Shakespeare in his music. This is another layer of 2Pac telling the story of "Tupac".
Only Fear Of Death Is Reincarnation I always took that as Pac not wanting to live another life full of suffering considering how many fucked up situations are possible to be born into
2Pac is the greatest to have ever done it. Best lyrically? no, best flow? no, but what makes 2Pac the greatest, he has high ranking in EVERYTHING - lyricism, passion, delivery, presence, believability, sincerity the whole package, which is why so many gravitate to him. Biggie may have better flow, but he doesn't have the rest, Eminem may have the greatest lyricism and word play, but doesn't have the same presence
Apathy over life and despair over his impending death is what sticks out to me here. Pac's imagery is easily his best skill as an artist. The mark of a true MC.
There’s many songs that when I hear them it feels like I am Pac. His story telling puts me in his shoes and I get chills til the track ends. It’s just weird doo. This album is probably my favorite. Roller coaster of emotions for me.
Ur the only reacter on this platform I've seen who actually goes back and analyzes the bars pac spits and appreciates them too. Others are seemingly unphased by this.
@@brainsqueezereactions right, it just blows my mind I go back to listen to certain parts just like u, keep the pac reactions coming, the best on this platform!
Imagine being 18 years old, and you’ve just lived through Pac’s entire career, his first shooting, his court case and prison bid, his work with Death Row, and it all happened so fast. Imagine still mourning for a man as profound as any, whilst still mourning the death of Kurt Cobain and countless other Gen X legends, icons, beloved in every way by young folks across the world. I remember buying this double album the day it dropped. I actually bought the double album on cassette, as my car only had a tape player with an sweet ass Alpine system bumping in the trunk. I sat in the parking lot of the mall and I listened to a few songs. I think this song is the last track on side two of the first tape/disc/half of the double LP, (I think). This song stopped me in my tracks. I rewinded it at least 6 times. I felt like he was talking to us from the grave. I STILL get chills up my spine when I listen to this song. Tupac was prophetic, magnetic, brilliant in every way. I’m so thankful I was coming of age during a time when he was shining so bright. He’s the greatest to ever do it. I love many rappers, but none more than 2Pac. ♥️
Haven't even got through the video yet just started and I subscribed. Instantly knew I'm gonna love your channel! I'm sure the rest of the video will be great!
This gives me "Mind Playing Tricks on Me" by the Geto Boys vibes. He's definitely on the edge and paranoid on this track. It makes you understand his tunnel vision. There's a story about how he and his entourage had stopped for burgers and a high school football team got off a bus and approached them and some of the kids made some remarks while others wanted to get close to him. He was so paranoid that he drew his gun and yelled at them to stay away. Tupac went through so much as a young man and after achieving fame that it he was never happy, regardless of how loyal and giving he was. He felt people took him for granted and were always plotting against him. That's why he always said he was cursed to not be happy. Great reaction, man.
Yo Im glad you finally got to this track!!! This is hands down my all time favorite Pac song. This song hits me so hard cause when it first came out I was going through really heavy street shit. I got one of my homies to join the gang I was in and two days after when he wore the color to rep the set he got killed when he was on his way to my house. Every word of this songs hits so hard RIP Ishmael I’m sorry and I miss you my dawg. I hope your family forgives me and more importantly The Most high. This happen almost 30yrs ago and it still hurts.
Been waitin for this reaction forever! Never disappointed! This was like a reward for me after a long day at work! Lookin forward for the next Pac video
I remember really enjoying this whole album when I first listened to it MANY years ago. Hellrazor is probably my favorite track, but there are a lot of great tracks, this one included.
Massive track!!!! Seeing u bumping your head makes me smile bro 🙌🏾 This is officially my favourite rap album of all time or maybe just after illmatic. I’m still on you to review “Krazy” by Tupac and Badazz on the Makavelli album I beg u bro it won’t fail!!!!!!
That beat is hard as rock. its a deep story, it was made before he got shot around the same time as the me against the world album but was released after his death the og version is the same but a little different. R u still down album r u still down is a good one too but not the one you've already done and r u still down ft Jon b / 2pac ft madonna - rather be your lover
This was great man! Thoroughly enjoyed watching /listening to your analysis of this song. As someone who had this album when it had come out in the late 90s there were a few things you said that I didn't actually realise in the lyrics so well played man! I think this is probably one of 2pacs best songs ever, second or maybe close to it is 'Krazy' off the Makaveli album. Please have a listen to it and it would be really amazing and educational to hear your perspective of it. I had messaged Bad Azz who featured on the song maybe a year before he passed away on instagram and got to tell him that his verse had changed my life. So pleased he read it..rest in peace to them both. Keep up the great content
Falling asleep while I’m in service is a reference to being in church and it being so boring that you fall asleep meaning he’s not being taught anything while at church!
Another reason I believe this song hits so hard is because the song only had 1 chorus at the end where as 2pac rapped 3 verses str8 so the story had no breaks in between...
Where am I goin'? I discovered, can't nothin' save me My next door neighbor's havin' convo with undercovers. Remember, earlier in the song where he talks about being paranoid from being high?
Hey Hector, you were asking where this songs fits and why it sounds so eerie "only fear of death" this was the last track on the album and it fits perfectly with the theme of the album, 2pac tracklisting always fitted nicely and this rounded off the album perfectly imo 🤯⏪🎼
This song was recorded before the Quad studio shooting, and was originally supposed to be a part of a collection of tracks (like Life's So Hard, etc.) recorded around the same time, which was supposed to be remixed by Death Row when he initially signed when released from prison, but was quickly scrapped for a new project, which became All Eyez on Me
This song was recorded in 1993 the week of Halloween it has nothing to do with death row records and all eyes on me. All eyes on me was all new material made after he got out of jail and signed with Death Row .
Read what you wrote and realize how you just contradicted yourself. It happened before the quad studio shooting yes remixed by Death Row for AEOM NO he wouldn't have signed with Death Row if he wasn't shot and put in jail you make it seem like in 1993 he was planning on going to Death Row in 1995 and taking old tracks with him to be used as new Lol doesn't even make sense my guy just think about it you are giving out false info.
@@chitownmytownofficialonean6067 I never said that it was remixed for the All Eyez on Me album. I said that it was remixed for a 2Pac / Death Row project that was quickly scrapped, for a new project, which ended up being All Eyez on Me (with the newer material recorded from late 95). The song (like Lifes So Hard, When I get Free) were remixed, with others planned (R U Still Down, etc), to be a part of a project with other remixed tracks of existing Interscope material from 93 - 94 when 2Pac was signing with Death Row, and in the event that he didn’t actually get out of prison, Death Row would be able to put out an album for him to receive some money
@@chitownmytownofficialonean6067 I never retracted my first comment. - 2Pac was in prison - Death Row wanted to sign him - In the event he wouldn’t be released, Death row would remix Interscope songs for an album - 2Pac is released, and the idea scrapped, in place of a new album of new material - All Eyez on Me
Just remember if there's people trying to break you down and stop learning and doing this it's because they have been trying to silence Pac and his power since he came on to the world stage and they damn sure don't want us to get his education even decades late, what they underestimated was his work ethic and ability to put out so much content before he passed.
I remember being 13 bumping this in my garage smoking weed thinking this song was intense lol as I hid from my Mom to get my smoke on 😂 this song and Shed So Many Tears, Death Around The Corner and plenty more 🔥
Listening to this track and your reaction reminded me of something. Pac has 3 tracks that we believed when we was kids that they are a 3 part story. Part 1 - Souljas Story - 2pacalypse - A kid growing up around provety and racism, gets into it with police. Part 2 - when I get free - ru still down - now he's in jail and talks about the struggles in jail. Part 3 - planning what he's going to do when he gets out. I could be reaching but check them out, in order, it might make sense.
After "souljas story" on 2pacalypse now.he did "souljahs revenge" for Strickly 4 my biggest.then "when I get free part 1" that's a whole different song with him rapping with a twisted sounding voice and then he has "when I get free part 2" which is a new rap version.theyre both on "R u still down" album.
@@waquin1 yes! Completely forgot about Souljas revenge. Just noticed the part 3 (in my comment, refers to When I get free part 2, (I'll edit my comment, so the next reader gets what I mean). It might be a far reach but I does sound the trakes could be parts of the same story.

This one makes me think that he is on edge. He wants to do right and good, but it makes him broke or live in poverty. Then, he sees he needs money to have a good life, but real money can only be made by doing evil. Now, he is torn. His conscience is killing him.
A Legend on the fukin Edge! Im under pressure getn drunk, Somebody help me, i Drink a fifth of Hennessy i dont think its healty😆💪 never will i die i'll BE Back, reicornated AS a mfn mack..
so dark. this was supposed to be on the third album that Pac scrapped. Pac mentioned in an interview that he felt that Biggie had taken his style so he had to record a whole new album. I can see it imo when you compare this song to Suicidal Thoughts on Ready to Die.
This album is a combination of unreleased music he had stored..it was released after he died. Just answering the question you asked..if it was made before or after he was shot.
Hec I've listening to this song ever since this album dropped, and I'm with you on this one 2pac new something to write and record a song like this, and that explains why he was in the studio and bitchin on everybody why they are just chilling and not recording, no one listened but kept on writtin and writting and recording he didnt care about mixin and stuff the producers can do that later, there is a footage of Pac just going off on everybody in the studio just workin too slow, he knew something, no wonda he changed his name to Makaveli after a guy who faked his death and shit, I truly believe this song was his paranoid state talking because no one around him wasnt really listening, his life story was an open book every one who dares to know about his life will see his pain and have a glimpse of a man on the edge all the time and maybe understand him if they walked a mile in his shoes.
I remember that I met Tupac back in 1992 off of 13th Avenue East Oakland I didn't know who he was at first he had left I seen keep your head up that was the video that just dropped and I was on the porch by myself and he asked me why you not playing with everybody else and I was like I'm a Loner and he gave me like $20 and that's when the first Flamin Hot came out💯💯
Yeah I got memories of Tupac man when see my cousin her name was Pampam she dated poo man he was a rapper out of Oakland who the one that played in menace to society and he came over with him and my brother Darnell that was that's doing 40 years in prison at this point for robbing a bank in Sacramento California in 2000
No offense but your story sounds fake and the years don't even add up for Keep ya head up or flaming hots and then all of a sudden you have many memories with him come on man stop it 1990 and 1993 are very far apart for two release dates that you yourself stated.

Thats amazing that my reaction gave you some new things to reflect on! Absolutely the reason I love this community and journey!
Falling asleep while I’m in service is a reference to being in church and it being so boring that you fall asleep meaning he’s not being taught anything while at church!
Makes more sense!!!
"in service" means on the clock when you're hustlin'. 😉
There was at least 6 contracts out on his life and he knew it.
Another reason I believe this song hits so hard is because the song only had 1 chorus at the end where as 2pac rapped 3 verses str8 so the story had no breaks in between...
The beat creepy as hell but it’s too damn lit 🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥🔥
‘’I pray to the Lord but he ignores me unfortunate bcos I’m guilty’’❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 👑
To break the whole poem down he doesn’t want to die alone! That’s dang near everyone’s only fear of death💯
One of my favorites
Where am I goin'? I discovered, can't nothin' save me
My next door neighbor's havin' convo with undercovers.
Very good point and that makes sense!!!1
@@brainsqueezereactions Yeah, as a stand alone song, it's quite eerie but as an overall, it fits perfectly 🤯⏪🎼

Why you retract your first comment ?
@@chitownmytownofficialonean6067 I never retracted my first comment.
- 2Pac was in prison
- Death Row wanted to sign him
- In the event he wouldn’t be released, Death row would remix Interscope songs for an album
- 2Pac is released, and the idea scrapped, in place of a new album of new material - All Eyez on Me
PS I RESPECT THE FACT THAT YOU TAKE THE TIME TO BREAKDOWN EVERY LYRIC AND GIVE YOUR THOUGHTFUL COMMENTARY.
Thank you Crystal!!!!
Didn't expect you to do this one so soon but glad you did.
I really just pluck them from my list that I build from the comments 🙌🙌🙌
This whole song talks to my soul.
Thanks man, Good reaction to my favorite song
Man This song Is Sad Man Dam Pac R.I.P. dude was going through it
Congratulations on the growth of your channel 👏
One word for this song, COLD!! ...good shit bro keep them coming 👊❤
Guilt for the little girl who died in the shootout in marin city (supposedly by his gun). He felt cursed after that..
Look down the barrel of MY 9 and my visions blurry….. he’s shedding tears while contemplating suicide in that verse
Just remember if there's people trying to break you down and stop learning and doing this it's because they have been trying to silence Pac and his power since he came on to the world stage and they damn sure don't want us to get his education even decades late, what they underestimated was his work ethic and ability to put out so much content before he passed.
Crazy just how much content there is!!!!
Brilliant and great review sir
He is the best and my King of Rap Forever, Thank you Afeny for your son, Tupac live in our world. FROM AFRICA-ANGOLA
OH MY GOODNESS I HAVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR YOUR COMMENTARY . I LOVE TUPAC.
THANK YOU 😅
I remember being 13 bumping this in my garage smoking weed thinking this song was intense lol as I hid from my Mom to get my smoke on 😂 this song and Shed So Many Tears, Death Around The Corner and plenty more 🔥
Listening to this track and your reaction reminded me of something.
Dont creep me out anymore then this one did!!!!!
@@brainsqueezereactions try listening to the tracks, and see if you can hear the story. I might be reaching, still.
I Remember Shock said In Thug Angel it Always Felt you Were making Something for Malcolm X it was A honor when PAC called. This feels like whoever made this beat Felt the same. 🤘🏻

One of the best pac songs, lyrically but also that beat!!

When thugz cry OG
My closest roaddogz OG
Changed Man OG
When I get free OG
Thank you for these types of comments! Keeps me buzzing and driving forward!
Hector, you got to react to Mourn You ’til I Join You by Naughty By Nature in my opinion is the best tribute to 2pac
This one makes me think that he is on edge. He wants to do right and good, but it makes him broke or live in poverty. Then, he sees he needs money to have a good life, but real money can only be made by doing evil. Now, he is torn. His conscience is killing him.
2Pac - Life’s So Hard.
Is in the same rapping rapping with sadness and hopelessness paranoia emotions translated into a song
Probably an alien concept for a suburbanite.
Nate Dogg - One More Day 🔥
that's what I'm talking about you catching it
During 94 area, this was b4 QUAD Studio, failed Assassination attempt
Notice 2pac saying CLOUT since 1993 😁
A Legend on the fukin Edge! Im under pressure getn drunk, Somebody help me, i Drink a fifth of Hennessy i dont think its healty😆💪 never will i die i'll BE Back, reicornated AS a mfn mack..

Made N is lyrical insanity
I’m enjoying the content..it takes me back to when I first discovered Pac’s music..my all time favorite
Im glad my friend as that means alot that im not messing up others feelings to his music!
I’m not sure if you checked this one out yet or not, but Big Daddy Kane & Pac on the same track 🔥🔥🔥 “Wherever U Are”
No my friend adding now!!!!!
Your head got me bobbing my head...lol...
🙌⏪️🧠
2pac was a psalmist modern day king david!
so dark. this was supposed to be on the third album that Pac scrapped. Pac mentioned in an interview that he felt that Biggie had taken his style so he had to record a whole new album. I can see it imo when you compare this song to Suicidal Thoughts on Ready to Die.
Hhahaha I had same reaction 20 yrs ago when i first heard this! Tupacs flow n razor sharp lyrical content and delivery is untouchable! 🔥 🚒
You felt that too...just something felt a little eerie and off with how he was all knowing and letting his mind just go!
Love the reaction Love from Australia 🇦🇺
My favourite album r u still down.
Every track is 🔥
Thank you my australian buddy!!!!!!!!
Bro the voice change when he says I’ll be back!
I remember that I met Tupac back in 1992 off of 13th Avenue East Oakland I didn't know who he was at first he had left I seen keep your head up that was the video that just dropped and I was on the porch by myself and he asked me why you not playing with everybody else and I was like I'm a Loner and he gave me like $20 and that's when the first Flamin Hot came out💯💯
It was the Cheetos Flamin Hot
Yeah I got memories of Tupac man when see my cousin her name was Pampam she dated poo man he was a rapper out of Oakland who the one that played in menace to society and he came over with him and my brother Darnell that was that's doing 40 years in prison at this point for robbing a bank in Sacramento California in 2000
No offense but your story sounds fake and the years don't even add up for Keep ya head up or flaming hots and then all of a sudden you have many memories with him come on man stop it 1990 and 1993 are very far apart for two release dates that you yourself stated.
