Thank you for the video, short sweet and to the point no bumping of the gums.
Super informative Short, and directly to the point with no wasted time with nonsensical info. Thank you for a great, helpful, informative session.
Hi Brandon: I bought two of these lights a few months ago at home depot and put them up in my garage. These things are great--I should have done this a long time ago. Now I am going to put up two more. Great video.
Thanks! Congratulations on your lights. I love mine also. Just as bright today as the day I installed them.
Lithonia or Commercial Electric was the decision. Luckily I found your video of the exact same light that I wanted to put up in my basement after all of the fluorescent lights failed ending up looking like strobe lights. So I bought ten for this month and I found a couple of 32 inch LED's for the stairway on the top and bottom which has always been dark. I do alot of projects down there woodworking or fixing small engines as long as it don't involve gas. That I wait till summer to do outside. You did a nice job on the video and at least I know what I was getting, and I liked the linkable feature instead of having to hard-wire each light individually. Now that i'm cleaning house down there and moving the compressor, this seems like a little bit extra effort to last for another twenty years.
Max Peck I'm glad I could help. I've had zero issues with these lights. I'm sure you will be as happy with them while doing your projects as I am! They do a great job lighting up the shop! Take care brother!
Great video! Been looking for a lighting solution for my garage. Looks like this may be it.
hey Brandon Lund had these light installed 2 years ago like to know how do I take the clover of to put a new led in
+jarvisis akito Im not aware if these are serviceable. They have a very long warranty. You might want to bring it back to exchange for a new one.
thank Brandon Lund the light work great the room I have then in now going to be use for my home theater room need the light to be a little less light at some times can i put a dimmers switches on then
Can you hardwire these into existing/ replacing existing ceiling light bulb fixture?
Technically yes but I'm not sure if that would violate code or be legal in your area.
Hey I am looking for some lights that continuously connect all together . What are these lights called in where they from? Thanks Kimberly
Hey Kim, Sorry I'm just seeing this now. I have done a follow up video to this. Here is a link to that video and the link for the lights is in the video description. Sorry for taking so long to get back to your. Brandon ua-cam.com/video/njpEVAF-cDQ/v-deo.html
Ty sir. Glad found you. Short to the point brief video. Darn I don't have a power drill. Where I want it I can't do it without it I wish could use regular screw driver. I nreded extra light in old effc kitchen above sink cuz light is so bad. Needs brightening for eyes, etc yellow light ugh, cuz is white but not enough like room. I was hoping Walmart holiday sale low price I it could be my resolution, but no still I can't. I need light over hang.
If you have 2 or more linked together do they all turn on when you turn the first one on or do you have to turn them all on separately.
I have mine set on a switch so when I turn on the switch they all come on at once.
They can be flushmounted. Look at the slot right where the hooks go through. Measure the distance apart from the center circle and put 2 screws in the ceiling. Line them up and you slide the light over.
The chain broke off up in mine. Has anyone figured out how to grab the little remaining piece to at least turn it on? Or maybe replace/repair broken chain when it broke up in there? Up in there! Up in there! Whoop! Whoop! Sorry couldn’t resist!🤪
I just purchased the 2 foot linkable fluorescent light lamps very difficult to get to the hardware inside where they keep the screws and anchors etc. furthermore very difficult to put back on The top and bottom I scratched all the paint on the lamp and housing.
Looks like &€~+. Lights up the room though pretty well in the basement. not worth the hassle I was going to purchase more so I have a total of six but I’ll just stay with the two for now.
I haven't tried the smaller ones. I actually have a bunch installed by a company called Cackass in my workshop and I like them a little more. They are a little less expensive, same warranty and I like the color output better. If you search Brandon Lund Cackass Lighting you will find the review.
Hey Brandon, are you still using this welder cart. I thought I noticed your welding rig looks like you have 3 or more machines together. I just noticed this on your ktm build today video and was looking to see what you made or bought. If I missed it please point me in the right direction.I am looking for ideas cause I am going to build one early in the new year.
I sure am. I have 2 carts now. 1 has my tig machine up top with my plasma down below and my other has my mig. Both carts were parked side by side. The only modification I did to the carts was I added that tube handle that you see. I built it out of a scrapped swing set. I grabbed the bent pieces and cut and welded them up to make a nice handle. I think I have a video of that too...if I can find it ill link it for you...
Hello Brandon I watched your video on the handle you added to your first cart if that is what you were referring to. It turned out nice.
So here is another question about the cart do you like having 2 carts or would you like to have them all on 1 cart. Just wondering your thoughts, thanks
Personally I like having 1 cart dedicated to 1 welder. For example, my tig welder cart has everything tig related on it and nothing more (other than my plasma cutter that sits below). My mig welder has just my mig welder with mig accessories and rolls of wire. Plus having I machine per cart makes it much more portable - smaller footprint - less weight, and I can keep the welders im not using in my tool room where they dont get covered in metal sparks and grit. Thats my preference anyways :)
Thanks for your thoughts on your welding carts, it will come in handy when I decide what path I am going on mine.
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Great tips: crimp it shut. Interesting that you just use a drywall screw, I guess that's strong enough.
Only problem is you have no way to turn them off by a wall switch. Who wants to keep unplugging them and plugging them back in every time you want to light up your shop
I guess I'm confused because all of my lights are controlled by the wall switch.

Bacon & Cheetos...I dont see the problem. It sounds like a good time to me 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for your very helpful tutorial. Just installing the chains wasn't something I was sure of. Helped me enormously.
Great to hear!
