Quality, Quality, Quality. I wouldn't swap my Billingham Hadley Small. As you say, very English.....but so am I. I'm surprised my wife hasn't "borrowed" it to go with her Barbour jacket. Nice review. Regards, Dave.
Oh wow, I recognize your intro and Airstream, worlds collide. I’m on a Billingham quest, between the Digital and the Hadley Small Pro, the newer versions for my micro 43 gear, I don’t need much space. Getting ready for our FT Airstream adventure to begin in 2.5 years now.
Actually, I do have a pith helmet, so I guess it's time for my first Billingham. If you ever watch Zulu or Zulu Dawn, that's the one. I bought my first bag in the late seventies. The two outstanding choices at that time were either Billingham or the Lowe Pro Magnum. I went with the Magnum being one of the very first people in England to own one. My dad has it now and he uses it as a range bag. I didn't like the Billingham because it looked like my old fishing bag. I wonder if my old fishing bag was a Billingham. Never really looked at the label. I'll check next time I'm home. Anyhow, I might go for the Hadley Small Pro. Looks the ticket to me. Thanks for the review.
I recommend Hadley instead because it’s a bit larger and has a handle, the camera insert can be removed and convert the bag to a business messenger or remove the shoulder belt and it’s a brief, and it’s only a little but more money. This the only made in England camera bag I’m aware of.
Great review, Shaun, but I'm surprised you reviewed the Hadley Digital since it's probably too small for most enthusiasts. I have the Hadley Pro and find that size is perfect since it can take a full size DSLR plus 2-3 lenses and an iPod and other accessories; and it also has a useful handle on the top cover for lifting it easily from a car trunk, etc.
Thanks Peter, just because I review one bag, that doesn't mean I'm precluded from reviewing another! Personally I love the compact size of the Digital for a walkabout as it allows me to tote a mirrorless (usually an A7 or a6000), spare lens or two, and the usual accouterments... but I'm certainly open to reviewing the larger bags also. Everyone has slightly different size preferences, which is why they make so many choices! :) Cheers, Sean
Great review! Thank you. My only comment is that Billingham just cant think of new modern designs anymore. They should follow the fashion trend. Looks like an old bag for an old man :)
I think you're missing the point - Billingham bags are classic designs, like the little black dress and chesterfield sofa. You can't improve on perfection :-)
Safe colour, sage advice - thank you for sharing.

Hat was a nice touch. Nice review. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Will "Canon 5d mark IV with 50mm 1.4 lens" fit in that bag?
excellent! so far this is my favorite!
Agreed! Definitely the nicest bag I've reviewed so far. You can't go wrong with a Billingham.
