TV legend from my youth. Always imagined him in his local pub and every night someone goes 'Oi Norris, come over here a minute and settle this argument for us'.
what an outstanding white gentleman - who took icc to court to force them to allow their members play and coach in apartheid south africa.. in the name of freedom he supported a racist and oppressive regime..
When you say founder, he was in fact co-founder with his brother Ross McWhirte’s, who was sadly murdered by the IRA in 75. Remember it like yesterday, anyone else remember that? Used to love record breakers, they had just finished recording their Christmas special, and I remember there was a lot of debate as to if it should air. But in the end Norris wanted it shown as a memorial to his brother. So sad. 😞. As a child of 8 or 9 it was the first time realising how scary some adults were!

Thank you for sharing this wonderful interview.
..thanks for taking interest...
What a gentleman. I arrived too late to experience Ross but I hugely respect the way Norris
carried on without him.

@@andipandi5641 you worried me at first. Hell, what am I kidding? People are horrible almost without exception, on UA-cam perhaps most of all.
Brilliant. Thanks for sharing!

Look at how high the presenter is positioned behind his desk.
So socially awkward. On the spectrum for sure - .all that perseverating. Always found him weird and annoying as a kid.
Harry Duggan.....

I recall this chap had the largest house on Broad Walk in Winchmore Hill, North London in the 1970s.
Terrible racist
Nice.
How and where can i find and enjoy some of his racist quotes?
