And i went ahead and bought the xm8500. I have a nice condenser, but it just picks up everything, which in my room is not a virtue!

Self noise and background sounds are incredeably high on Behringer.

The Behringer is 5 times cheaper if it's an issue

Both mics alm the same. Flute sounded identical, the guitar however, the Behringer had a bit more top end sparkle!
Wonder if new Behringer 57 clone will be more similar
