I love to thrift for dishes - I can't seem to have enough! LOL I like to use them as seasonal decor, so I'm always happy to find unique or colorful pieces. What do you like to thrift for?
I agree with what you said about our society being so casual that we’ve lost the art of making things special. I have 11 grandchildren and occasionally I have a tea party for them. We dress up nice in our church clothes and practice our manners. They grandchildren ages range from 4 to 22 years. We have the best time.
Oh my goodness what fun!! Your grandchildren are so lucky and they will remember those tea parties their whole lives! Teaching manners is so important - believe me - I see so many kids that have not been raised with manners. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!!
A great video! You must have out of this world thrift shops. Since you asked I would love to see a joint thrift adventure with all three of you together. I know with life and distance all of that would make it difficult, just a dream. As always your finds are beautiful. I find your interaction with your doggies so sweet.
Hi Barb! Thanks so much for your sweet comments. We are glad you are enjoying the channel. It's so funny you mentioned a joint thrift adventure - my sisters and I were just talking about how we could arrange that! Great idea!! We just may do it! Our thrift shops can be great and they can be a total bust. I have found that visiting frequently or regularly is the best way to find treasures. I have noticed that some prices are getting very high. I only purchase things that I think are a good value/price.
I’m a new subscriber and LOVE your channel! You all have such impeccable taste and find wonderful thrifted items! I’m a southern boy myself “ North Georgia “ and I really appreciate good manners and lovely antiques, I’m 42 and started in antiques at age 15 so it’s been a lifetime love and enjoyment of mine! Keep up the awesome videos ladies, much love Todd M 😁
Welcome Todd! We are so happy that you are enjoying our channel and have become a subscriber! I bet that you have an amazing collection of beautiful treasures. I love antiques and never pass up a chance to visit an antique store -even if I don't buy anything I love to learn and appreciate the beauty of such lovely things! And yes to manners and etiquette! You'll never go wrong being polite! Take care!
Hello from Québec!!! I enjoyed so much your video this morning with my first cup of coffee! We definitely have similar tastes with dinnerware … I have a collection of thrift finds that I use through the different seasons and I smiled when you were sharing your set of sugar and milk! I could open a store with my many sets … I am quite envious of the pricing in your area … here in Canada we do not have as many thrift stores and the prices are a little higher but still I manage to find little treasures that I cherish! Love your videos and I enjoy when you share how you display your treasures! Have a great week! Josy 😊
Hi Josy! And welcome! We are so glad you found our channel and are enjoying it! I'm glad to "meet" a kindred spirit when it comes to sugar and cream sets. I just cannot resist them! LOL. Thanks so much for you very sweet comments! Take care!
I too love everything tea! It makes it feel so special. I enjoy finding special dishes. I like to use my things. I enjoyed the thrifted things you found. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you, Kelly! The ice bucket was such a fluke find - it was mixed in with the pots and pans! I don't think whoever stocked the shelves knew what it was!
You and your sisters…your fabulous finds…content, are great. As far as your question, what I’d like to see, how you all style your finds. That’s where the inspiration is for me and mostly only watch content that includes how things are styled. 🌺
We wholeheartedly agree! We love to see the styling inspiration. We are planning a whole series of thrifted room tours. Check out Patty’s video from last week “My Thrifted Kitchen”. I am planning to to do a thrifted kitchen room tour in the next couple of weeks. Thanks so much for the feedback and suggestions. We will definitely take your advice! 😊
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked that single tea cup. I thought it was so adorable - I could not leave it behind! We are so glad you are enjoying the channel!
Your finds and prices are absolutely unbelievable. Our tastes are very similar. The gold platter reminds me of a sunflower. The covered turquoise dish is beautiful. Tea Party - how fun. I'm having a hot (tepid) chocolate tea party with my toddler grandson on Valentine's Day just as I did with my children when young. Thanks for sharing your decor style and thrifting.
Hi Mary Beth - you hot chocolate tea party will be so fun! Those are the kind of traditions that create such wonderful memories! Thank you so much for you support of our channel. It makes us so happy that you are enjoying it! Have fun with your grandson on Valentine's day!
So lovely! I’m from a trio of sisters - a notch older - and we love a good Irish tea as well. We grew up on coffee at breakfast and tea throughout the rest of the day. Lovely finds. Each one is a gem, and I do plan to make the French 75!
Thank you so much Maureen! I am drinking a good cup of tea as I write this! I agree - coffee is for breakfast and tea is for everything else! Let me know how you like the French 75!
Just found your channel. Like me, I love tea related items. I have 50+ English tea cups and a few tea pots. Your thrift prices are way cheaper than MO.
Great finds! I found this channel by mistake and it's one of my best ever! lol This is absolutely one of my favorite channels. I want to see more of how you use your hauls on your houses!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much, DeBorah! We will definitely be doing more thrifted tours of homes and how we style and use our thrifted finds! So glad you found us .... by mistake! LOL
Good morning Paula! The Irish creamer and sugar bowl are charming! I'm part Irish, so I love to find things from Ireland! The Bavarian cream and sugar set is gorgeous! Your thrift haul is super! The last three thrift trips we went on yielded me nothing! Which is not a bad thing as I have way too many dish sets, too many mugs, too many baskets, etc.! Prices here in Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, where I shop, are very much higher than other areas of the country. I watch many thrifters on UA-cam, who have much better prices. I agree with you on using nice things for everyday. Why save them for company? An old friend said it this way to me, when I was a newly wed, decades ago, "Treat your family like company, and your company like family!" I absolutely love those canisters! 15 dollars is way less than a trip to the coffee shop! 😃 Thanks for great content Paula! The artwork you bought is gorgeous!!! I enjoyed seeing how you styled your finds!
Hi Justinie! It is always so nice to hear from you! I went to Wellesley College and UMASS-Boston so I know prices in the Boston area are higher than in most places! That can make thrifting a. challenge, but also a necessity! We are planning to do a series of thrifted room tours showing how we use and style our thrifted finds. Stay tuned! LOL. Take care! By the way - I LOVE the advice your friend gave you about how to treat family and company! Very sound indeed!
Oh yes by the way I'm a lover of all tea things too! I only drink loose leaf tea. I order mine out of Northern Ireland from a company named Suki Tea Co. It's Belfast breakfast tea. Order with your sister because the European postage is steep!
Omg, my mom had the exact same Tupperware dip and chip container. In fact we had quite a few Tupperware things, from a set of avocado coloured canisters to a gravy shaker maker ( what my mom called it ). Thank you for the fond memories!
So many wonderful finds. I love thrifting dishes too. I scored the lettuce collection a few months ago in green. I can't wait to set my spring table with them. Love your artwork too. . Take care
Hi Paula Great items today on this video. I especially love the cream jug and sugar bowl from Ireland. You paid good prices as well. I have a gorgeous white with dainty blue flowers tea set that was used 67 years ago at my christening. It's bone china and so delicate. I have pieces of that on display in my kitchen. I'm enjoying all the videos you and your sisters share with us. Thankyou. Sue from UK x
Hi Sue, Thanks so much for your support of our channel. We are so happy you are enjoying it. I bet you tea set is absolutely beautiful - and so special. I love the sentimental stories behind such lovely treasures! Take care and thank you for your sweet comments!
I agree with the others that you have very reasonable prices where you live. I live in Michigan and I could never get these items at the prices you paid. I love tea items too. Pretty floral vintage English tea c/s, plates, tea pots and etc. I will do a Valentine tea this week for some neighbor ladies and use my pink and some red items. Using pieces with roses, although I guess Februarys flower is violets. Have you used Wrights silver cream to polish your silver? It does a great job.
Hi Judith - I love the idea that you are doing a Valentine's tea with your friends - how fun!! I have not tried Wright's silver polish but I sure will. I"ve been looking for a good silver polish. Thank you for sharing that! And thank you for your sweet comments. My sisters and I are so glad you are enjoying the channel!
I am amazed at the prices you and your sisters pay for your beautiful finds. In New Jersey our prices are sometimes 3-4 times higher at thrift stores. (Even before this inflation we are all currently experiencing).
It is still possible to find some bargains at our thrift stores, but we have definitely seen an increase in prices. It takes a lot of patience and a lot of trips to the thrift store to find the bargains! But who doesn't love an excuse to visit the thrift store?! LOL
i wish our goodwill had these fantastic items and prices. the prices at our goodwill are outragous. i did find another goodwill in another town with great priced but very low inventory.
We have the same issue with the Habitat for Humanity Restores here. There prices are absolutely ridiculous! And the stuff is often very poor quality. You can usually buy things new at a cheaper price. I don't shop there ever. It is very frustrating!
Ohhhh I am you!! However a lot of those things do take up a lot of space to store….but hey if you end up without space (hahaha)….you can always re-donate and feel good about the joy you have given to others through your monetary donation the first round and by your second donation of the item…..WIN WIN!!! Have a lovely day!!

HI Paula what lovely thrived items you seem to find. I live in England and the thrift stores over here are not filled with lovely items like you fined. I'm trying to work out how your plant is suspended in the air the one on your small unit behind you
Hi Ange! The plant is actually sitting on a jadeite cake stand. It is hard to tell because the other jadeite things are right in front of it! :). Thanks for watching and commenting! Take care!
