The writers were never able to make Supercorp Canon, though they clearly wanted to. So instead they used double meanings in everything. One of those hints they sent was Andrea Rojas. They made sure we saw Lena had feelings like she did for Kara before. You can't tell me the Andrea thing was am accident by the writers. They used parallels in that entire relationship right as Supercorp was at its largest in popularity. This was to tell us Lena had deep feelings for the same sex before. So as a Behavioral Health Professional I have a breakdown that I think Supercorp fans will appreciate. Lena broke the way she did because the things she was hiding were brought to the surface and not just her denial of who Supergirl was. I'm not saying the show was implying Lena realized she was gay, but they were implying Lena cared for Kara in a way that went beyond friendship. Lena's pain was that she thought Kara didn't care as much as she did. Then Kara did her own speech and Lena realized that Kara was in as much denial as she had been. Season 6 is kind of proof of my theory. Season 6 was primarily Lena helping Kara except herself for who she is. Now this can be taken multiple ways and that was intentionally done by writers who weren't aloud to make them blatantly Canon, so instead they used double meaning on almost everything in season 6. Lena knew before Kara how she felt, that was clear by how different Lena became after she realized how she felt. The rest of the time was her patiently helping Kara come to terms with her own feelings and you can see Kara slowly except these things. Denial can be very very powerful. But if you look, Lena had slowly taken Alex's place in Kara's life and even Alex herself noticed this. You can't tell me Alex would feel okay in letting just a friend take her role in Kara's life. No she felt safe in leaving Kara with Lena cause she saw the connection, the writers made sure we knew Alex knew. All of this was intentionally made apparent to us that Lena had become the most important person in Kara's life and that last scene was Lena telling Kara she excepted herself and all that she is and that if Kara did the same, she would be there for her. Kara taking off the glasses while staring at Lena was a symbol from the writers of Kara excepting herself and an expression of what mattered to her, Lena Luthor. Also when Lena and Kara hugged at the end, Melissa made the acting choice to close her eyes and smile like she was at home in Lena's arms. Watch the her other hugs, she never closed her eyes, this was intentional.

Do you know what I miss the most? Kara and Lena as normal friends (let's call then friends for now alright?). You know, their conversation in Lena's office, their hugs, their dates, them being there for each other. I love finally seeing Kara around Lena as Supergirl, but I also miss their friendship. Katie McGrath has often talked about how Kara needs someone to be human with, and how Lena has been that person for her, the one persone she can be just Kara and not a superhero. And I miss that.
Girl I agree with everything you said, but there is one thing I’ve noticed. Lena always calls Kara, Kara. Even when she is dressed as Supergirl, she called her Kara. I think that Lens will always see Kara as Kara and not just Supergirl

They were in a fight for all season 5 and now Kara's in the Phantom Zone and they haven't hugged in forever and I'm just sad about it. I want them to reunite and be *them* again. But yeah you're definitely right, Lena still sees her as Kara and that means so much
Heh-heh, reading this 6 months later: 6x13 AND 6x14, Kara and Lena having dinner together. Just the 2 of them. 💙💗 I'm going to keep believing in *Supercorp Endgame* 💕 until the very last SECOND of the finale (if it hasn't happened before!) 🥰

See I don't think you're seeing the truth though. Kara wasn't just Kara around Lena, Lena just didn't know that she was working with Kara when she worked with Supergirl for 3 seasons. It's not the same as her being just Kara, cause Supergirl had plenty of interactions with Lena and since Kara was lying about who she was, that made her friendship with Lena tainted. I thought season 6 actually did a good job at having Kara (non Supergirl clothes) interacting with Lena. During season 6, Lena basically replaced Alex as Kara's person. It was Lena who ate potstickers with Kara after missions, it was Lena who was Kara's partner at game nights, it was Lena who sat with Kara and helped her through tough situations and guided her when she had doubts, and it was Lena, not Alex, who was their when Kara woke up. Point is, it was Lena who kept Kara attached to her humanity.
I wasn't prepared for this edit let alone the description. All I did was put the episodes to good use, and pretend to be helpful. I love you too. As a 'friend'. This is so beautiful with all the parallels and their story put together so nicely. I'm not even gonna point out how fast this was edited cause now I sound like a broken record. Anyways, this is amazing, I love it. I really admire your ability of creating pure art ❤️

This is so beautiful and well done!!!
It's just sad in the show that they haven't been within arms length of each other in a long while. The closet they've been to each other recently is a full extentioned hand shake. They are physically walking on eggshells... They can't bear to hurt the other or be hurt by the other right now. It's probably going to be a long while before they fully embrace once again. They had every opportunity to in the last episode, but they chose not to. Lena looks so sad everytime kara hugs someone else. I hope she gains the courage to just go for it after they get kara back from the phantom zone.

I feel you. I hope they have the best hug ever after Kara returns from the Phantom Zone. I would've asked for a love confession or a kiss, but considering CW, all I can do is hope for a hug and indefinite heart-eye stares.

I think what Kara never quite understood and what Lena couldn't explain was that if Lena had been told, she would have chosen her friendship with Kara over her dislike of Supergirl. I think in Lena's mind Kara's choice not to tell her meant that Supergirl was who Kara truly was and that Kara was the mask. The truth was it was the opposite and it took Lena all season to realize she had it backwards and Supergirl was the mask meaning the Kara who trusted and cared for her was real

The scenes and dialogue aren't just random Supercorp moments either, but are specifically chosen to highlight the theme of *trust* in their relationship: how it's built, how it's broken, how it's rebuilt. [A "Rebirth" if you will. ;-) ]The scenes, even in quick cut, FLOW together; they aren't jumpy.

This was an absolutely amazing Masterpiece for The Best Ship in Supergirl. I love them as friends and I like to see them as a couple. Melissa Benoist and Katie McGrath are both Phenomenal Actress and their chemistry is amazing and if one day Supergirl gets another season I would love to see the writers try to make Kara and Lena a couple.

This is the best Supercorp video I've seen on youtube, so much so it gives me the shivers. You perfectly captured the intense attraction, passion, angst and love in their relationship. Thank goodness for Supercorp fan fiction to bring their story to fruition, whereas I doubt the CW will.

There is 1 conversation during 5x13 that never happened but should have and i think the show really missed an opportunity by not having it. In 5x13 Kara needed another perspective so she chose a time frame where Mon El existed and her talking to him about what was going on to get his opinion. They should have had Kara choose a time frame where Lena would have listened and Kara could have told her weekday was happening. Who better to give advice about how to handle Lena than Lena. Imagine that convo, Kara tells Lena what's happening in real life, how they hurt each other. Lena tears in her eyes listens to all the ways she hurt Kara and vice versa looks deep into Kara's eyes and tells her "as long as you keep trying, I'll keep pushing you away" Kara blinks, confused, says "I'll never give up on you Lena, i promised to always be they're and i will". A soft smile comes over Lena as she grasps Kara’s hand, "i could never handle you thinking I'm a lost cause, I'll always try and prove you wrong. I'm not asking you to give up on me, I'm asking you to have faith that I'll always choose your side in the end". Kara looks at her, swallows slowly "so what, in supposed to tell you the truth, that i can't trust you anymore because you are so lost you see Lex as an ally? " Lena gets a smirk "Kara, if i chose Lex, it's because i know beyond any doubt that what I'm doing is wrong and o don't care what he thinks. I'll always care about what you think, It's why i most likely am keeping you away, shame makes me isolate ".
Imagine if that conversation took place. It would still fit the show, keep it platonic, but add so many layers to what is happening.

After watching tons of Supercorp edits, I finally came to my senses that if Supercorp were canon, it would lessen the value of this ship. Kara and Lena are just each other's girl crush that belong together, but not as lovers. As sad as it sounds, I think that's the truth us Supercorp shippers need to accept.
I disagree. I just think we need to be patient, until the VERY end.

The line that affected Lena the most was "I will do everything in my power to stop you, just like any other villain". Up until that point Kara was trying so hard to fix things, she kept thinking Lena would come around, that Lena wouldn't go to certain lengths. While Kara was trying, Lena kept thinking that she could turn back whenever she wanted and because of that she kept choosing not to because the ability to turn back was always there, Kara changed the game though. Kara told her she's crossed a line she can't just uncross, she worked with Lex, that was a final straw for Kara. Katie had many options after that line of villain by Kara and she chose regret. Lena may still not have turned away but it was clear from that expression that she knew, she knew she had gone past the point of no return and succeeded in pushing Kara away, like she wanted, and instantly regretted it. I felt the show failed in one area, instead of letting Kara just leave, Lena never would have kept her mouth shut, she would have said something. I think 2 lines should have been added, 2 lines that allowed the fans to know that neither wanted this but neither knew how to fix it.
Lena: So that's it then, we've finally done it, we are Lex and Superman
Kara turns around looks Lena in the eye
Kara: we don't have to be
Kara flies off without another word while Lena asks herself how they got to this point.
This adds a layer of emotions and didn't make their reconciliation feel as forced as it did in 5x19

No she felt safe in leaving Kara with Lena cause she saw the connection, the writers made sure we knew Alex knew. All of this was intentionally made apparent to us that Lena had become the most important person in Kara's life and that last scene was Lena telling Kara she excepted herself and all that she is and that if Kara did the same, she would be there for her. Kara taking off the glasses while staring at Lena was a symbol from the writers of Kara excepting herself and an expression of what mattered to her, Lena Luthor. Also when Lena and Kara hugged at the end, Melissa made the acting choice to close her eyes and smile like she was at home in Lena's arms. Watch the her other hugs, she never closed her eyes, this was intentional.
PLEASE tell me you're doing another video with this same song if (when) they kiss by the end of this season! It fits SOOOO well, I'm in tears.
Aww I'm so sorry. I don't really use the same song twice for the same ship or characters. This was one of a kind of edit where I focused more on their interactions/dialogues to build up a story, and it was a hard one to make. 🥺
