Totally agree. Firearms serve a critical role in defending life and Liberty but they all don’t have to have a serious purpose. Sometimes I just enjoy shooting my suppressed CZ457 .22lr at golf balls thrown around from 25-150 yards or taking my old Browning Superpose through a sporting clays course. It’s good to step away from the tactical training and just enjoy the real American pastime of shooting.

I love Tim! My older brother has been begging me to start learning self defense because of my ex husband constantly stalking me (going through a pretty messy divorce and custody battle). Now my brother has been boxing and doing jiu jitsu for over 20 years now and I believe in all that time I have been to one class.
The funniest thing I have ever seen is my ex challenging my brother to a wrestling match because he thought what my brother did was essentially kids karate. And my brother is a much smaller guy than my ex who was 6’1 vs my brother who was only 5’8. And thought he would be easy to take down. (My ex has a thing for going after people who are much smaller and weaker than them. He is truly a coward)
My brother agreed and as soon as they got to 3, my brother had him in a full mount where he couldn’t move and could of done anything to him if he wanted. (My brother at the time didn’t know he was physically beating me up. He just thought he was a control freak and actually warned him when he was on top of him to remember this anytime he thought about controlling my every movement)
My ex being the ass that he is, tried to play it off and say “I like your sister, not you” and asked my brother to get off of him. Then tried to say “Oh I thought we were going to box not play wrestle “. My brother said are you sure about this? He said yeah. My brother said ok and began taping up his hands and gave my ex one of those padded helmets and said you are going to need this. My ex asked are you going to wear one? My brother said I won’t need it. At that my point my ex backs out and makes up an excuse.
I have watched my brother fight for years along with Tim’s videos but I’m not sure if I would be able to do any of this, especially learn it efficiently to be able to fight off my ex who out weighs by a 100lbs and is a foot taller. I know my brother has said that there are techniques I could learn to at least be able to get away, should he ever catch me alone without anyone. But I honestly don’t know if it would work.
I do have a gun that I practice with everyday and know how to use and shoot. Along with clearing any jams. I honestly think that is my best bet should anything happen.
But if for some reason I couldn’t carry my gun somewhere or was caught off guard. Is there something I could easily learn and become efficient at, should he ever grab me? I know Michael has told me if someone grabs you by the wrist to turn your hand towards their thumb to get out of their grasp. Which I tried practicing but couldn’t seem to get out of the grasp when the person is much stronger than me. So any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Tim...you're eating the Jackfruit wrong. That stringy bits hold little, if not any flavour, unless you enjoy the never ending chewiness of bubble gum that will eventually help you develop biceps along your lower jaw, then go right ahead. What you should do is pull away the stringy fibrous strands that cover the 'fleshy', juicy, flavoursome, tropical fruit next time. Oh, and another suggestion, to avoid that sticky residue sticking to your hands, guns, magazines and ammo, rub a vegetable based oil on your hands prior to ripping up the jackfruit.
