Let me know with a reply or comment if you liked the format of this video compared to my last Top 10. Rather than recording myself in game explaining mods and cutting it all together, I wrote a script and prerecorded all the audio before making video to match it up with. It made it a struggle to try to cut all the video to fit without any big pauses but the end result was a much shorter and more packed mod video. I think it turned out great but im not making videos for me, im making them for YOU so let me know what you think! Thanks for watching, you guys are the real MVP's here! :)
First of all thanks for the video.secondly locksmith stopped working for npcs as it was old and not updated so i use the mod -'hands off-lock settlement containers and doors' as it is a better up to date mod and it works perfectly
Interesting, I have never had this issue with Locksmith. I can certainly attest to companions not able to path through the doors due to them being marked "inaccessible". I just logged in and locked a settler in the Starlight Drive in. I then used the console to command him out and he is unable to do so. I'm going to guess these issues reported are due to a mod conflict. Maybe Paladin Danse is a special boy but I can't remember what settlement I left him at to test! Also one of the complaints with "Hands off" is it not working on red rocket doors and other preplaced doors. Locksmith works perfectly on every door within a settlement, and even on seemingly any container OUTSIDE settlements as well. Not sure why you would need to lock containers outside your settlements, but hey, why not?! :P I appreciate your feedback and hope anyone viewing these comments will check out both mods and determine for themselves which they like the most. Note: neither apparently work with provisioner supply containers. Though a patch may be available, i havent looked. Thanks for watching! :)
auto doors is cool by itself but can be enabled in the worlshop framework mod, it auto closes doors without building anything and even auto opens all doors when entering workshop mod (and closes on exit)
Wow thats awesome, I had no idea that function was built in. Looks like I already have the Workshop Framework mod. I think I had to download it as a requirement for SS2 so I never really looked into what it does (other than pointing out how broken my workshops are in my old saves). Kinggath doesnt fail to deliver! WF and SS2 effectively replace several of my other mods it seems. Thanks again, you are a wealth of information!
I have an even better scrap everything style mod called "scrap zapper 2". its script run that is customizable and VERY compatible with other mods, including SS2. you can combine this mod with immersive cleaning (and the PRP patch if you use PRP, although you should) to have a very lihht and efficient way to save yourself hours of time!
I think the only reason I didnt go with that one is I like some of the loose stuff like spare tires, makeshift batteries, etc. It seemed like from the description that it auto scraps all of these items. This is Trash really focuses on the static stuff you cant scrap without a mod which makes it a more direct replacement for Spring Cleaning. Ill have to take another look at it though, for someone who doesnt want any clutter it sounds like Scrap Zapper is the one. Thanks again for the feedback and thanks for watching! :)
@@OrionDakota no problem! yeah if you want to scrap things that aren't normally scrappable, you should be ready for this to break (i.e. precombines) but ultimately it is up to the user. also scrap zapper can be configured in MCM to scrap or not scrap certain items
I believe This is Trash uses rebuilt precombines to avoid all those issues. They don't have to be interactable so I think it works much the same way that using a settlement overhaul works. That's one of the reasons I really like it and wish I had it before Spring Cleaning.
@@mitchellheckethorn6003 As far as I can tell it will apply to any bed you sleep in with your companion so it should work fine. Thanks for watching! :)
Is there a mod to adapt walls, floors, and other structures to the different landscape conditions? Sometimes, I'm trying to build something cool, but because the landscape is not even some of my walls and floors, looks like they are floating in the air.
Yes, so if you are on PC you will want to grab "Place Everywhere": www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424 I featured this mod in my last Top 10. You will need to install F4SE to use it but with Place Everywhere you can toggle off snapping, or even use the numeric keypad to move things one tiny step at a time in any direction. Id suggest you check out the mod page for all the controls and options because there are tons of toggles. You might want to toggle off snapping to ground and leave snapping to other objects, or something similar. Thanks for watching!
I'm sorry to hear it's not working for you. Have you tried a little older version? I don't have the newest version myself tbh so not sure how well it works... Thanks for watching! :)

So does the "this is my bed" mod interfere with the lovers perk? I'm gonna guess no but I mise well ask.
