Favourite Foreign Language Movies - Hara-Kiri (1962), Jean De Florette & Manon Des Sources.
Mr. GoodKat haven’t seen any of those foreign films :( and I really want to see one flew over the cuckoo’s nest! It’s been on my watchlist for ages!
@@maplestreetmovies No worries you can always watch them in the future :D but just a head's up careful to NOT look up "manon des sources" because the plot description spoils "Jean De Florette's" ending because manon is the sequel (think like Kill Bill with two volumes) don't make the same mistake I did.

Hi! Discovered you today and watched this video along with your Top Ten for Hitchcock. I have some recommendations based on what I've seen. First off, have you seen Strangers on a Train? That's a huge winner for Hitchcock. Same goes for Rebecca & Shadow of a Doubt. Also - Scorsese? Definite recommend for Taxi Driver and Raging Bull. I get the impression that you're kinda only into American cinema, but there's a lot out there if you ever choose to explore! Person & The Seventh Seal by Bergman are amazing. Seven Samurai is great, but I think Rashomon is a better port of entry into Kurosawa if you ever choose to! Stalker, Mirror, and Wild Strawberries are all great European picks, too. Finally, are you into Kubrick? 2001 is a movie you'd probably like based on your love for Interstellar. If you do, you should check out Moon (2009) as well. That'll be a sci-fi classic one day. I also highly recommend The Shining, Dr. Strangelove, and A Clockwork Orange. PS - you loved Psycho, so if you haven't seen John Carpenter's Halloween (1978), I highly recommend you do so for a spiritual sequel to Hitch's classic.
Wow I love recommendations, thank you!! This video is nearly 2 years old now, and since it's filming I have seen a lot more films, including a lot of the ones you mentioned! It's funny you mention foreign cinema, because that's something I got into and am still into after the filming of this video. Of the recommendations you mentioned I've seen Rebecca (I've seen it twice and I like it but I've never loved it), Shadow of a Doubt, The Seventh Seal (Good, but not my favorite Bergman), Seven Samurai (a masterpiece. It's the only Kurosawa film I've seen, but I own Ikiru and will watch it soon), Wild Strawberries (especially loved this one!), 2001 (I saw it when I was younger and didn't like it, but I think a rewatch will change my mind), Dr. Strangelove (I enjoyed it, but I haven't seen it in forever so I've gotta see it again), The Shining (amazing, can't complain), and Halloween (So iconic!). I've loved getting into foreign cinema! If I were to re-upload a Top 25 it would actually include 2 foreign films you didn't mention, Diabolique and Wages of Fear! Two perfect movies in my opinion!! I did a whole video essay on Diabolique so you can watch that if you want haha or better yet, watch the movie! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
@@maplestreetmovies I have watched Diabolique! It's very good, one of the best of its kind in my opinion. I had to watch it my first year in college for a film class (along with Double Indemnity, The Maltese Falcon, Out of the Past, The Postman Always Rings Twice, Touch of Evil, Laura, and Chinatown). I'd recommend all of them based on your love of Diabolique & especially The Third Man. Thanks for the heart react and keep watching great movies!

Nannerale TV So far I’ve seen Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet and all seasons of Twin Peaks and Fire Walk With Me. I have seen most of the films in your list and I’m a fan of them. I came across Mulholland Drive less than a year ago without knowing the movie or David Lynch existed and when I watched it, I fell in love with David Lynch’s style and started seeking for more. You should probably start with Mulholland Drive and see what happens. I love everything I’ve seen from Lynch so far.
