The Simon's Town Fire

On the 19th of December 2023, firefighters across Cape Town started battling the blaze on the mountain slopes of Simon's Town. It burned for more than a week. This fire was a big one and the season for frequent fires has barely started. This video gives testimony to the hard work of our emergency services. I cannot overstate the tremendous effort it took from everyone that was involved in de-escalating this incident. Not just firefighters, but other rescue and enforcement agencies, volunteer groups, and the public. Thank you to you all.
