Castlevania 64 was my first experience with playing this series. I totally missed out on all the Castlevania games until the mid 2000's because that one game...
If they just made Satan's final battle with Gabriel better... That's the only real gripe I have about this game. (And I wouldn't have minded if we could have had one battle with the final acolyte.)
He was always in control as Gabriel Belmont. Even when facing satan. But some areas in this game make him seem really pathetic. That really kills the vibe of him being Dracula

its poorly explained but the blood is draculas "hatred and anger" though the many many years AFTER he killed the forgotten one in the dlc. basically gabriel went on a rampage cursing god out and being very angry he had to become a vampire in order to kill the forgotten one then he became dracula by asorbing 1/3rd the power of the forgotten one again shown in the dlc. or on youtube., and now lives forever and no way to die and all he wanted was to be with his wife and son that he never got to know because marie had to keep it secret...again all part of the sad lonly destiny gabriel had to go though, fortold gabriel was gods chosen one in order to fight satan and protect earth. but sadly had to sacrifice unknowingly his entire life. so thats the blood the anger and hate inside dracula spilt blood of the innocent he has killed and drank from and the brotherhood of light soldiers though the years he killed, and even the vampires that use to follow him which were once human that gabriel turned cause they wanted to be turned, they lost their way and started to turn pure monsters and instead of following gabriel and keep calling him master, started making their own cult and going against gabriel, and Gabriel basically sprayed their vampire blood all over the walls saying you guys are assholes i gave you power and you went against me so die. so thats the blood in his castle also known as cursed blood. its so cursed that it became its own entity living thing in the castle consuming anything to either fight or keep dracula from leaving. it was basically that obsessed girlfriend who needed to know where gabriel was at all times and got super upset if he wanted to go take a stroll alone.
This game had potential and the first hour proved it. After that it went downhill fast. Still fun but a big letdown. I heard they had issues at the studio and a lot of people walked out because they had a different direction they wanted to go. Probably why half of the game suffered from it

Many of those that hate are often cause of bias due to the original Castlevania timeline. Los changes so much from the old Castlevainia, the more stuck in their ways, fans of it are just gonna hate. I just see it for what it is, just a restyle and I can say I do like the irony of a Belmont being Dracula. I've played MoF and liked it, the one thing LoS has over the old games is more story to it, but Trevor and Alucard rolled into one character just kinda gives me the willies, my only issue with it so far, I like the character, but still gives me the willies.

Different canon. In this story, Alucard and Trevor Belmont are one and the same. Simon Belmont is Alucard's son.
In this canon, Matthias was abandoned at a monastery of the Brotherhood of Light as a baby, and grew up as Gabriel Belmont.

its poorly explained but the blood is draculas "hatred and anger" though the many many years AFTER he killed the forgotten one in the dlc. basically gabriel went on a rampage cursing god out and being very angry he had to become a vampire in order to kill the forgotten one then he became dracula by asorbing 1/3rd the power of the forgotten one again shown in the dlc. or on youtube., and now lives forever and no way to die and all he wanted was to be with his wife and son that he never got to know because marie had to keep it secret...again all part of the sad lonly destiny gabriel had to go though, fortold gabriel was gods chosen one in order to fight satan and protect earth. but sadly had to sacrifice unknowingly his entire life. so thats the blood the anger and hate inside dracula spilt blood of the innocent he has killed and drank from and the brotherhood of light soldiers though the years he killed, and even the vampires that use to follow him which were once human that gabriel turned cause they wanted to be turned, they lost their way and started to turn pure monsters and instead of following gabriel and keep calling him master, started making their own cult and going against gabriel, and Gabriel basically sprayed their vampire blood all over the walls saying you guys are assholes i gave you power and you went against me so die. so thats the blood in his castle also known as cursed blood. its so cursed that it became its own entity living thing in the castle consuming anything to either fight or keep dracula from leaving. it was basically that obsessed girlfriend who needed to know where gabriel was at all times and got super upset if he wanted to go take a stroll alone.

This game had potential and the first hour proved it. After that it went downhill fast. Still fun but a big letdown. I heard they had issues at the studio and a lot of people walked out because they had a different direction they wanted to go. Probably why half of the game suffered from it

Gamer's Little Playground I have heard that some people hate this game. I honestly can't see why the games story is amazing maybe because it was to repetitive. Nice video guys xD
Many of those that hate are often cause of bias due to the original Castlevania timeline.
Los changes so much from the old Castlevainia, the more stuck in their ways, fans of it are just gonna hate. I just see it for what it is, just a restyle and I can say I do like the irony of a Belmont being Dracula.
I've played MoF and liked it, the one thing LoS has over the old games is more story to it, but Trevor and Alucard rolled into one character just kinda gives me the willies, my only issue with it so far, I like the character, but still gives me the willies.
