For a mg5750, not tried on others: If you dismantled it and cant fix it then you can cut the 2 wires from the board to the motor, discard the board, solder 2 wires from the charger pins to the motor. You will have to use the trimmer with the charger plugged in all the time.
Had the same issue... Fixed it... You should have showed how to separate those two black body parts... That was quite tricky. Saw those 2 clips in your video and figured it out... Thanks... Cheers!
Thanks for this video, had the same problem, and also was missing instructions how to separate 2 parts - but managed to do it and the trimmer works again.
OK I did it. Mashed it all up and almost broke it due to lack of knowledge. So you ned to get two long thin things downt the sides. But you also need to get the on/off switch mechanism off, in order to pull it off.
I also have the same issue, but the on off switch wire is working, but the motor slows down after few seconds even at battery full charged. Do u know about this?
Could be the soldering that connects the battery to the motor has become loose or not fully making contact. When the trimmer vibrates it basically pulls the wire away.

@@earlgibson Could you upload a short clip on how to disassemble please?
