I have shot at whitetails here in Ontario Canada, that my gut instinct, and as you say in the video, the sound of impact, tell you that it was a hit, but no conclusive evidence where the animal was standing at impact. That is why a true hunter will go beyond acceptable boundaries to make sure the game they shot at is either a kill or a clean miss. Congrats on a nice bear, and may you enjoy many more years in the outdoors.

I just returned from hunting the Sapphire and Bitterroot ranges. Much respect for the difficulty level of this type of hunt. I couldn't picture myself sitting in a tree stand over a bait barrel, so I opted for a fair chase hunt. Lots of hiking on rough terrain, beautiful scenery, and worth every minute of effort. Didn't fill my tag this go around. I did see lots of sign, and guide spotted a small cinnamon. It's a good reason to go back to Montana.

What do you do to keep your feet dry? You crossed some wicked streams. Boots you are wearing? In my military training, keeping your feet dry was one of several top priorities in wilderness survival.

Man I love being a solo hunter!!!! Going after my first solo bear this year. It's been an adventure!! I killed my first elk solo last year and have been hooked ever since.

Sick ad breaks every 5 minutes. I wonder why this channel is basically dead now when you copied TV tropes that were already showing their age. Overly dramatic music ruins so many of these shots. Should have let the cinematography speak for itself.
I have been solo hunting since 1986, so what you did on y tube did not ecsite me I have shot a 65 inch bull in Ontario beat that in ontario
