I bought MG-400 2 weeks ago. I only play at home and usually with headphones but I wanted decent sound and portability. I updated the firmware, added free custom IRs and it sounds amazing. I managed to dial a few presets to match the tone of my favorite artists in minutes. Not to mention the 60sec loop with overdubs and drum track. My previous modelling amp cost more 10 years ago and can't compete at all. Totally recommend it!

Amazing video. Can you move looper? Can you use it to loop a phrase and mess with settings to find your tone, etc?

Bought it today for bass, stayed on guitar setting for 3h. Default settings are kick ass. Managed to set Black Sabbath sound in less then 30min.

Can i change the distortion into another modulation and have like chorus and phaser on the same sound or something
When the ctrl 1 on tap mode, it will blinking red continuously, I observed that when you demo, ctrl 1 does not blink red continuously,so, would you help to advise if there is any way to turn off the blinking light in red?

Are you able to confirm if the Quicktone software plays through the computer speakers or do you need to connect a set of speakers to the MG-400 via the stereo outputs? It works fine if I use headphones or to my modelling amp but I don' have my computer in the same area and wanted to use the speakers connected to my mac
I assumed if I have set the audio inputs to the MG-400 and output to my bluetooth connected speakers I would hear the guitar effects but I can't get that working.
Also I am really struggling to understand some of the connection modes as the manual doesn't provide any details. Any advice of where I could learn the terms?
Could you show the sound of the modeller with a bass?
Can I export recordings from the software?
How we can switch the order of preset please tell me

Wait.. isnt the lower model mg300 housing made of metal? And this one mg400 made of plastic? Is that true?
Can you go backwards from scene 2 to scene 1 with just one stomping? Or you'll have to go over scene 3 and 4 before going back to 1? Thanks
I think later in the video, there is a option to turn scene 3 off, but I'm not sure.

Can you turn off amp simulations on this device? just in case I use a real amp. Can I also plug in a real pedal such as overdrive and have it work with this device?
Hi,
watch the video and you will get an answer to the first question (I also use it with an amp at some point). Regarding the second question - yes you can use other pedals in combination with this device

Would the mg-400 sound good thru an Alto ts-310? I just got mine and I’m mine and I’m on a very limited, so what do you think????
There's a fairly good chance it'll sound good, I would just make sure to go through the 'mode' selector and make sure it's set to either 'Front combo's or 'rear combo' if you're using the effects loop, as I saw some other videos where they tried playing through the front of an amp with the mg400 set to 'Studio Direct' and it comes off much muddier
MG 400 through the Alto will just sound fine. You can't go wrong. 👍
Someone said one of the benefits of the 400 over the 300 is you can stack gain stages, is that true or have I been misinformed?

Yes, just activate the scene and then edit the preset from there :)
Is it possible to stack overdive and distortion?
it's possible with my mg100 so am sure that options is still there in the newer models

It has one built in bass amp, so it could work
Biggest Downside of this pedal and why I won't purchase one, is it doesn't have any Peavey 5150 or EVH amps..
I wish this came without a expression pedal. Those things are always cheaply made and wear out long before the device.

Nux stuff is usually pretty poorly made, but this looks and sounds amazing
Despite many hardware improvements and new effects and ability to move blocks, MG 300 still sounds better .. not just the amps, but all the modulations, reverb and delays .
Hopefully future firmware updates fix that

@@bcltdinc.8919 Yeah. It's pretty annoying TBH. You got a problem with that? Most manufacturers have email addresses and telephone numbers where you can submit direct feedback on a product. But by all means carry on if you think it helps.
However, might I suggest that your statement that the MG-300 sounds better is entirely subjective. I don't hear anything from this modeler that sounds dramatically worse or better. In fact, I think the clean tones are improved. Cheers!
@@bcltdinc.8919 LOL! I called it out because I find it annoying and unproductive. Of course my opinion is subjective. As is yours. That is meaningless. And your hostility isn't a good look.
Here's a suggestion. Make a video in which you pit the MG-400 against the MG-300 with side by side comparisons of the same amp models from both. That would go a long way toward providing objective data on which to base a decision. Even better, make it a blind test in which people can't see which is which and then bias will be eliminated.
Calm down man. No need to be so pissed off. If you don't want responses, whether positive or negative, then the UA-cam comments section is probably not a good place for that.
