Just to let you know, there are rips at Yanchep Lagoon. Several years ago, when I knew very little about rips, I ran past the reef and into the open sea area off the beach. Ran into the water and started swimming with a boogie board. I didn’t realise I was in the middle of a rip. Enough to say if it wasn’t for someone on the beach who knew what they were doing I wouldn’t be here today. Never did get to thank him as I was too exhausted and by the time I recovered he’d disappeared. Education is a great tool and I would encourage everyone to research rips. 👍
I appreciate the kind words but I don't know about that. I just watched your welcome video. I loved all your video clips. Kept the video moving along with lots to see. We'll done I just become a new sub as well mate, stay salty 🤙
Yes that long cable I was wearing was a shark shield. I can't remember what day it was. It was around 2 weeks ago. I'm quite busy with work, family and looking after my Dingoes so it take a bit of time to record and edit the videos.
@@SaltWaterSteve1 there are quite a few around Yanchep Lagoon and I've seen them on dives out at Rotto. I think there is one in my 1st Yanchep video and also in one of my Rotto videos but toward the end of the dive. I saw it sitting on a underwater rocky ledge inside a cave.

What day did you record this one? Also, is that strap attached to your leg for the sharks?
