I’m 64. I buy from Shein all the time. You’ll see things that only young ones would wear, bare midriffs etc, so you have to look at all the items. And you must take your measurements and then check the measurements for each item you’re thinking of buying. They vary enormously. Once you do that you’ll have more chance of ordering the correct size. I’ve ordered from a 0XL to a 5XL. Don’t think that because you bought a 2XL last time that you’ll always order a 2XL. I’ve bought heaps of t shirts, trousers, nighties, swimsuits, jumpers and cardigans, sweat pants and tops and even home and living gadgets. They have lovely silky long sleeve blouses that would pair with trousers or skirts etc. So have fun.
I'm 49 and I've bought from shein twice... I am happy with the clothes look but I hate the fabric. It's all poly unless you search cotton and even then you must check the fabric Material on the listing because they have this cotton/poly mic. But the size measurements are very close,not the size like 1x 2x etc
I’m with bettybingham, Shazzadut and wicked bunny, I’m 66 and I’ve ordered many tops and bike shorts from Temu and have been satisfied. I’ll have to give Shein a try. I’m most comfortable in bike shorts outside…in the house I wear comfy loose shorts, with loose tops. I love pockets too Misty. I like the dresses you received. I might order one or two tops to start. I’m sticking with Temu.
The bags are great for storing linens in ❤ I use them to keep curtains, sheet sets, table clothes, pillow covers...all folded, bundled and dust free ( sheer curtains NOT sliding all over in a closeted mess anymore!)

Since you’ve been stepping out of your comfort zone, I decided to do the same! I was only wearing 3/4 length or long sleeves, because of the crepey skin on my upper arms. I like the colour striped dress the best. The black and white stiped dress has horizontal stripes on the front. These make them look more boxed. The black top with the coloured stripes looked good too. Thank you for showing and sharing with us.❣️
My favorite dress was the blue and white striped one. It would look great with red accessories. I also really liked the black and white print top and black shorts.
You & I are the same size & I am 57. I have a really hard time trying new things especially when the item looks so cute on their small models. I’ve never ordered from them, she stopped after reading an article about the treatment and wages of the people working in their factories. I really don’t know myself as I’ve never researched it. I was eyeing those striped dresses (why is it so hard to find vertical stripes!!??) and I think they both looked great on you-- just oversized and breezy. I love Shein's cotton graphic t-shirts, but other than those, I have struggled with the weird sleeping bag material and square cuts. Their jewelry, on the other hand, is amazing and sooo affordable. Your outfits are not boring. You always have interesting outfits and accessories. I think the shien shorts were good except for not having pockets and the little cap sleeve is a good look for you and you would get use to it. I have never ordered from Shien because I found Temu and love it. I have been happy with all the clothes from there. I am not real keen on the polyester but it comes in the prettiest bright patterns. The other common fabric is nice and soft as are the nightgowns. And Temu has strawberry earrings too! Thanks for sharing. I appreciate you taking time to educate us.

I'm afraid of getting "that fabric", so I've avoided ordering from both Temu and Shein. I liked the boxy striped dress and the flower shorts the best. Love both dresses, tip in case you didn't know. Vertical stripes are slimming. My son had a favorite pair of pants...he called them his circus pants and cried when he out grew them😊. Then out thrifting one day he found a shirt for his dad, a button down dress shirt...excited he said mom look it's a circus shirt for dad😉. We bought it dad loved it and in fact he requested to be buried in it...which he was in 2009. So we love those colorful stripes. And it's really cute on, both are. I embraced the ruffel sleeve last year, it's just too cute.

If you sew or know someone who does, might I recommend making in-seam pockets in the shorts or whatever garment you want them? I did this with a bunch of LouLaRoe dresses. I bought some lining remnants that coordinated well with the dress colors, opened up the side seams and inserted pockets I made. I made the pockets just big enough to hold my iPhone. Appreciate all the time you spend and reviews you give. 🫶
I find that both sites, for me, are a hit and miss. I have, however, had better success with Shein clothing but we have to remember you get what you pay for, lol. The accessories are great from both though. Great haul. So love your honesty on your reviews and your personality is fantastic.

The strawberry earrings are so cute! I think Shein and TEMU clothes are very comparable with their quality. It is always hit or miss on fabrics and sizing. That’s my experience anyway 😊
Being older than you by many moons, and having worked in fashion when I was younger, one of the best tips I ever got was find a person who sews. My mom did as long as she could but when she couldn't anymore I found a tailor lady near me. They can do so many things like putting in pockets, going from long sleeve to 3 quarter sleeve in summer, hemming, putting darts in the back of pants and on and on. If you feel more comfortable with some sizes that are too big else where you can always get it taken up. You are beautiful and awesome and don't ever forget it!!

The first outfit is cute. The stripes really work on you. The daisy short set is super cute too. I like the colored strip dress and the blue striped dress. Maybe they would look cute belted. The last outfit would be cute if the shirt fit better. I think the temu stuff looked nicer.
I really liked the black shorts with the ruffles, you could dress those up, but no pockets. Maybe acute longer vest or coverup with pockets to pair with them. I have learned at Temu to really look at the descriptions on the page, you have to dig a little to find all the details, but it's all usually there.
I have a tshirt, blue with an anchor on the front and white strips on the sleeves and I love it, it’s too comfy. I also ordered a night gown which matches a kimono I bought from Amazon, so far I’ve loved what I’ve purchased. I’ll let you know about the jewelry. I’ve just ordered a bunch. Love Temu.

I liked the blue striped dress except for the horizontal bit like area. It would be better if the neck was scoop or vee-neck in my opinion. The flounce black shorts were cute but like you I prefer pockets!! I liked the daisy earrings best, they're fun!!! The peach/coral top with eyelet cap sleeves was adorable on you, really cute! Brand new subscribers here. THANK YOU! Because of you and your attitude and braving the dreaded “bare arms” I have ordered several (more than I should really) sleeveless tops from Temu. I’ve had pretty good luck with their clothes except one dress (shudder). I’ll be 64 this week and hoping to retire to the gulf coast in a year or so. I don’t own any sleeveless clothing at all, none, not one, because I too hate my upper arms. Time to start loving them, and not worrying about what anyone else might think. The pastel striped dress is a good fit on you. I like the flowy aspect to it too. The last dress that you called boxy would work better if you used an accent belt. Like a wide stretchy one to define your waist better. Otherwise send it back since you do not like it very well. Not placing pockets on anything is how they save a little money on each piece. It adds up. Also I agree with many of the plus size models that state you need to wear clothes that are not too baggy. I did for years and it took me awhile to realize that a more tailored fit in shirts and pants were slimming on me. That said I still dress 100% for comfort. I try to only buy cotton items as I hate the way everything else feels. No I don't have any issues at all...lol. PS. I have noticed that there are a lot of Shein clothes at my local consignment store and I could easily find them by feeling the "composition" fabrics.

I liked the dresses a lot and the white shirt with the black accent. The multi colors striped dress was a bit big but you could put a belt around the middle to bring that in a bit and accentuate your waist more
The blue and white strips looks good. I'm a plus size but I was born with lyphadema and lypodema so I have appts of trouble getting clothes but your a great inspiration

So funny! I prefer the clothes I’ve bought from SHEIN vs Temu. I’m 53, I also hate shorts and my arms, but found a couple of dresses on SHEIN that have fluttery sleeves that hide (and fit) my arms, and they’re the same length as the ones you hauled. Granted, they don’t have pockets either, but I loved it so much I ordered a bunch more in different colors! I’ll share the link to it if you or anyone else is interested.

I think the fit is much more important than weather colour is going to make you more visible ! I am plus sizes and love colour, so as long as the fit is flattering colour is your friend !

The strawberry earrings are so cute! I think Shein and TEMU clothes are very comparable with their quality. It is always hit or miss on fabrics and sizing. That’s my experience anyway 😊
Being older than you by many moons, and having worked in fashion when I was younger, one of the best tips I ever got was find a person who sews. My mom did as long as she could but when she couldn't anymore I found a tailor lady near me. They can do so many things like putting in pockets, going from long sleeve to 3 quarter sleeve in summer, hemming, putting darts in the back of pants and on and on. If you feel more comfortable with some sizes that are too big else where you can always get it taken up. You are beautiful and awesome and don't ever forget it!!

The first outfit is cute. The stripes really work on you. The daisy short set is super cute too. I like the colored strip dress and the blue striped dress. Maybe they would look cute belted. The last outfit would be cute if the shirt fit better. I think the temu stuff looked nicer.
I really liked the black shorts with the ruffles, you could dress those up, but no pockets. Maybe acute longer vest or coverup with pockets to pair with them. I have learned at Temu to really look at the descriptions on the page, you have to dig a little to find all the details, but it's all usually there.
I have a tshirt, blue with an anchor on the front and white strips on the sleeves and I love it, it’s too comfy. I also ordered a night gown which matches a kimono I bought from Amazon, so far I’ve loved what I’ve purchased. I’ll let you know about the jewelry. I’ve just ordered a bunch. Love Temu.
Hi Misty. Thank you for your honest videos! Love you in the daisy shorts outfit. I'm not a fan of the multi colored stripe dress but I thought it was too big on you. I liked the blue striped dress except for the horizontal bit like area. It would be better if the neck was scoop or vee-neck in my opinion. The flounce black shorts were cute but like you I prefer pockets!! I liked the daisy earrings best, they're fun!!! The peach/coral top with eyelet cap sleeves was adorable on you, really cute! Brand new subscribers here. THANK YOU! Because of you and your attitude and braving the dreaded “bare arms” I have ordered several (more than I should really) sleeveless tops from Temu. I’ve had pretty good luck with their clothes except one dress (shudder). I’ll be 64 this week and hoping to retire to the gulf coast in a year or so. I don’t own any sleeveless clothing at all, none, not one, because I too hate my upper arms. Time to start loving them, and not worrying about what anyone else might think. Life is too short for that garbage!! Have a beautiful day!

Ive bought some beautifully designed dresses from Shein, but they’re all that unbreathable, clingy polyester fabric thats as nice as a shower curtain. Such a shame. The pastel striped dress is a good fit on you. I like the flowy aspect to it too. The last dress that you called boxy would work better if you used an accent belt. Like a wide stretchy one to define your waist better. Otherwise send it back since you do not like it very well. Not placing pockets on anything is how they save a little money on each piece. It adds up. Also I agree with many of the plus size models that state you need to wear clothes that are not too baggy. I did for years and it took me awhile to realize that a more tailored fit in shirts and pants were slimming on me. That said I still dress 100% for comfort. I try to only buy cotton items as I hate the way everything else feels. No I don't have any issues at all...lol. PS. I have noticed that there are a lot of Shein clothes at my local consignment store and I could easily find them by feeling the "composition" fabrics.

Hi Misty, I think the last black outfit, was the best one! The open neckline looks good on you. I say this with love ,but I think the clothes are too big. I think you could go down two sizes!
I liked the dresses a lot and the white shirt with the black accent. The multi colors striped dress was a bit big but you could put a belt around the middle to bring that in a bit and accentuate your waist more
The blue and white strips looks good. I'm a plus size but I was born with lyphadema and lypodema so I have appts of trouble getting clothes but your a great inspiration

So funny! I prefer the clothes I’ve bought from SHEIN vs Temu. I’m 53, I also hate shorts and my arms, but found a couple of dresses on SHEIN that have fluttery sleeves that hide (and fit) my arms, and they’re the same length as the ones you hauled. Granted, they don’t have pockets either, but I loved it so much I ordered a bunch more in different colors! I’ll share the link to it if you or anyone else is interested.

I think the fit is much more important than weather colour is going to make you more visible ! I am plus sizes and love colour, so as long as the fit is flattering colour is your friend !
