Not Pike, it was Gary Mitchell from episode 3, Where No Man Has Gone Before.
9/22/1966.
The child you refer to was Yeoman Smith from The Cage, Andrea Dromm.
...and he is hovering in front of the galactic barrier that amplifed his esper rating. I wonder if him sensing all this is part of a little story.... maybe he is in the ribbon where Kirk was?
Its not Nimroy its Nimoy its in big letters at the end bless ya xxx
Colt
Yeoman Colt
i realised later it not, but what great short film non the-less but that why i showed it off on twitch
That's not Captain Pike, that's Lt Commander Gary Mitchell. Not sure this guy knows what he's talking about.
My knowledge is not the best I admit it but point was I was so moved by the short
That's not Pike sorry I'm 64 watched the hole thing for a young boy
Gary Mitchell....
The girl was J M Colt. ..as a Yeoman
Gary Mitchell, not Pike.
The garden that Kirk walks through isn't the Kelvin Universe as he meets Saavik and Sorak, Spock's son there. The alien Yor, who hands him his old Starfleet badge, TRANSFERS him into the Kelvin Universe. Also, the young woman at the beginning is Yeoman JM Colt from the pilot episode "The Cage" and who was played by the late Laurel Goodwin. Andrea Dromm's Yeoman Smith was in the second pilot, "Where No Man Has Gone Before".
This was Robin Curtis. She played Saavik in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Kirsty Alley played the role in Star Trek Ii: The Wrath of Khan.
You know I can't help feeling that the reason why this footage is just coming out now is because this is paramounts way of giving us their final farewells. As though they are saying they love us one more time and saying goodbye to us for the vary last time .
I hope not but, shatner now in 90's 🤔 I can't see him returning
A bit off, sorry. Know it’s a convoluted plot and super deep cut, but that’s Gary Mitchell at the beginning, not Pike, and the alien in the next gen uniform is Yor, and he switches Kirk over to the Kelvin time from the Prime timeline I order to arrange the meeting with Prime Spock.
tbf it beautiful piece of work and that's the main point!
It made Trek relevant again.
I definitely think so if otoyo took over making the next movie I would what could be
I won't say this is an obvious and applicable comparison but THIS reminds me of that last scene in. 2001 with Bowman in that room! I confess I couldn't figure that scene out when I first glimpsed it. Others have interpreted it and I have no cause to dispute their interpretation. I don't know if Kubrick ever explained it. Like an abstract artist explaining what all those lines and splashes of paint mean. No doubt what Monet meant with his works. Just my take for what it's worth.
yes i see what your saying defo
There were actually 2 Roman's that got destroyed...1 in the Romulan Senate the other was a Viceroy that Councilor Troi during a telepathy invasion i think during Star Trek 9 Insurrection insurrection
Robert April was the first captain of the NCC-1701 Christopher Pike was the 2nd and Kirk was the third.
William Shatner had a considerable career before Star Trek, that's why hewas the STAR of the show and never hesitated to throw around the weight of that fact.
That other one was the Reman that got destroyed handing Kirk his badge back to him
Not Pike. That is Lt. Gary Mitchell. Kirk's friend
Its beautifully shot. Nice to see Saarak and her son. Kirk's deep fake , a bit wonky inthe wide shot, but overall, a work of art.
Saavik
@@jeffreypsmith508 yes saavik
Not a Deep fake....It's CGI and Prosthetics.
Not Pike that was Gary Mitchell...you didn't wait long enough to have his eyes open up
That's not Pike its Gary Mitchell played by the original actor all those years ago
Captains of the Enterprise
Archer
April
Pike
Kirk
Harriman
Garrett
Picard
Worf
Shelby
Seven of nine
And of course spock, riker jellico and several others for short spells
It did not need dialog. And it wasn't Captain Pike but Gary Mitchell from the 2nd TOS pilot
And wasn't Kelvin timeline until given the comm badge
This is why I don't make review vids ,my trek knowledge is not great but Nimroy gate his name right
it was not reveiw video, it was showing it off twitch chat their was some one else i saw talkinging to but they was mutted , i had not reliesed we just having a conversation of the video!
Not Pike…..
Gary Mitchell
Not Pike. Pike is the scarred guy in the wheelchair. Gary played a character in early Trek and I forget his name and rank. He had god powers and challenged the crew to leave him and Sally Kellerman on the planet.
It's OKAY. The lack of dialogue becomes irritatingly cloying after a while
Yeah she's from the cage. But that guy was Kirk's friend Gary. Who got the god powers. And where no man has gone before
I love it when "fans" make incorrect observations with such authority and confidence. A lot of what you are saying is incorrect.
It's pronounced NIMOY not NIMROY.
You should really brush up on your TOS... That's Gary Mitchell... I heard another group of so called you tubers and they called him Gary 7.... Nope.. wrong... Gary Mitchell.... He received God like powers from passing through the great galactic barrier...
"to be honest" calling Garry Mitchel Christopher Poke make me think even though you're a fan, your knowledge is fuzzy.
I it tbh but I don't mind admit it! But I was interested in the short showed it off to twitch and was moved by the short, as to been a track na I'm not tbh but I watch most If not all, if mean been treky geek I'm certainty not but I enjoy star trek and most of the spin off since tbh
Sorry but you really don't know much about this short film.
inever sed i did tbh, I just though it was so well done i have seen majority of OG and spinoffs but i just enjoy for what it is!!
Or trek Leonard Nimroy ? Who owns park of the rights to trek ?Don't even know Robin Curtis is , this is like watching the star trek out on OVC where the sale men claims to be a fan surprised he hasn't called him Dr spock
