My 4 year old daughter (also named Brooke) watches your videos every Friday & then pretends to be you on her own "show"! & she comes up her own DIY Projects! It's adorable! We love What's Up Moms :)
I absolutely love all of the ideas that you come up with. Every time I watch one of these videos I have to save them. They are all so creative and things I would never think to do. I also am starting to become a real fan of gold, too. Thanks for sharing such great ideas!
Another idea for the "do to" jars is you could put the sticls upside down so you can't see what chore each one is and everyone in the family can randomly pick 2 or 3 and then they do that chore. That way no one fights about who does what :)
I love these you can do any of them with workouts as well so instead of writing chords on the sticks you write a workout e.g 30 sit-ups it really helps to motivate (:
1:15 By the way you can get a 3th jar which says "doing" and you can put sticks with chores in that your doing. For example, if you're making your bed, you can put stick with "make your bed" in the "doing" jar.
It's really cute that you have Lincoln learning to do chores so early. I think if you do that, he won't have a tough time doing them when he gets older because he already does them normally. When I was a kid, I didn't have to do any real chores until I was about ten years old and I didn't have the best attitude when first made to do them.
Going to try this! Our chore chart hasn't been working very well, but this one looks so cute and easy, I think my kiddo will totally go for it! :-) Thanks! ★ WhatsUpMoms
Love the chore board idea, that way it's in eye view and you don't forget! I hope to see some cute diy valentine gifts for kids and friends! I love watching your video's :)
I’ve seen a lot of comments on this WUM video especially saying that most people are in their tween/teen years and I thought we could take that to our advantage and make theses DIYs to help our younger or older siblings and if you need more motivation to do chores or help, then make it for yourself.
Aww Licon is so adorable and im 12 years old and I love these chore charts I made one for me and my brother and now we actually enjoy doing our chores!
hey Brooke, you dont have terrible handwriting, you have beautiful handwriting. is anybody else not a mom but still watches these videos because i am one of them?
Another alternative is sealed/halved envelope pockets with chores written on 3x5 index cards. As a job is finished, kids take a card from the “to do” envelope pocket and transfer it into the “done” pocket. You can let kids decorate their own cards and envelope pockets with stickers, markers, etc. You can have morning tasks ☀️and evening tasks 🌙 with their respective “to do/done” envelopes.
I so needed this! I'm going to do the craft sticks. I have an 11 year old and 8 year old. I feel like this will go down better than me having to constantly ask them. :)
Breanne Moffitt Just to be clear, I was making the DIY as an example, those are not Lincolns actual chores ;) He does love to help me clean up though which is very sweet :) xx B
Great ideas! Ironically, I was just looking for chore charts on Amazon earlier today.. I'm definitely going to nix that idea and make my own! Thanks so much for always having super cute ideas!
Brooke, you are so inspiring to me! I absolutely love everyone of the DIY's you've done in every single one of your videos. I actually had used some of the DIY's in a project I had to do for school! We were told to do pick something we love and of course I picked... DIY's! (I made sure to give you a shoutout) :) Thanks for inspiring me so much!
A tip: If you do the second one, it is easier for kids if you have two or more children, do it with colors. You know, like, (using Elles kids in this) Presleys chores in pink buttons and Fords in blue ones. So they know, what to do easier. Also, pick your kids favourite color for this!
And idea for little toddlers who can't read (yes, they can still do chores) instead of writing tasks (for any of these ideas) use pictures. For our house and our 4 year old, we put up a chart, a picture of mommy a picture of daddy and a picture of my daughter for our designated chores. Then in each person's columns, we use pictures like clothes and a hampers for putting clothes away etc
I’m not even an adult yet or a mom but i love you guys!❤ Also it’s so sweet at the end Brooke wrote:kiss mommy!😊 Also is it just me or was Lincoln’s all done at the end just adorable!😢
Or you can put sticks in the jars and once they are completed, they can get a prize from the treasure chest (the treasure chest is a bunch of little prizes that you can get at dollar tree such as little Dino's, prince tiaras, bracelets etc
Did anyone else notice that she wrote 'kiss mommy' on one of them? SO SWEET!

I found it weird when she said the chores on the magnetic board were for toddlers, they seem like chores for older kids to me.
It said "kiss mommy" on one of them
it was a humblebrag, her toddler is an overachiever 😜
Yeah one said to walk the dog.. it also said her kid was one....
It was an example instead of nothing. She might’ve had to make them up on the spot.
@Not a Muggle maybe their garden is big? lol

These are really cute but I'm still not gonna do my chores :D
hey Brooke, you dont have terrible handwriting, you have beautiful handwriting. is anybody else not a mom but still watches these videos because i am one of them?

What cute ideas. Also, your hair looks great! And Lincoln is becoming such a little man.
I’m really sad that Brooke quit
1:39 brooke that her child would hug her but he didn't she just quickly put her hands down 😂😂😂😭😭
heres a tip: YOUR CHILD NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO READ
You don’t know he can’t 😂
I’m pretty sure he’s like 2
She is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo creative and she is one of my favorites .
you didn't come up with this though. i saw it on pinterest.
ok
she already said in her previous videos that most of her diy ideas come from pinterest. she's just showing us how to make them :)
Thara Wu she also said "i wanted to come up with blah blah"
Rayanne Gomez he doesn't copy them, he tries them so we don't have to buy supplies and stuff if it doesn't work.
*ThreadBanger
I so needed this! I'm going to do the craft sticks. I have an 11 year old and 8 year old. I feel like this will go down better than me having to constantly ask them. :)
I think he's too young to do chores
Never to young to start teaching reasonsibility!!!
Kids gradually learn responsibility i think he's to young 2 but a simple chore like picking up toys isn't that hard
Breanne Moffitt Just to be clear, I was making the DIY as an example, those are not Lincolns actual chores ;) He does love to help me clean up though which is very sweet :) xx B
Ooh ok thx
my toddlers do help me put away their toys or make their beds.. it's great to teach responsibilities at young age.
Your tricks always help
cute ideas Brooke! Love the sticks!
Can I just say you have the most cutest little boy ever!!!!
Great ideas! Ironically, I was just looking for chore charts on Amazon earlier today.. I'm definitely going to nix that idea and make my own! Thanks so much for always having super cute ideas!

Haha, when my mom first got her label maker she went CRAZY with it!
Brooke, you are so inspiring to me! I absolutely love everyone of the DIY's you've done in every single one of your videos. I actually had used some of the DIY's in a project I had to do for school! These are super cute Brooke! How many different rolls of washi tape do you have though?
A tip: If you do the second one, it is easier for kids if you have two or more children, do it with colors. You know, like, (using Elles kids in this) Presleys chores in pink buttons and Fords in blue ones. So they know, what to do easier. Also, pick your kids favourite color for this!
I think my daughter is going to love these
