Love Platinum Egoiste! My favourite scent of all time. I love how cold and aloof it is. It’s a quality you don’t get very often in fragrances. What with most fragrances leaning cosy and sweet these days.
I purchased Boy after watching your previous exclusif review, it is AMAZING. I am 21 years old, female, for me it seems a perfect unisex summer fragrance for me. Amazing, so clean, any gender could pull it out.
Platinum Egoiste is intriguing to me because it's an old school barbershop that women love. I wore it in the mall today and women were coming up and being friendly
My dad had the original Allure Homme.. he had a bottle from 2001 and would wear it to work, it would fill the room and he’d come back and still smell like it, I would steal a spray or two from time to time. The first Chanel I ever bought was Allure homme sport, I absolutely love it… then Bleu de Chanel, and just got the original Allure homme. Chanel just does it well, as classy as anything.
I tried to make my dad try other Chanel fragrances other than his fragrance favorite Bleu de Chanel. I took him to the boutique, and he didn’t like any of the others. I thought he would go for Sycamore, but he was astonished at the price tag lol.

Undoubtedly my favourite fragrances are the entire Bleu De Chanel line, great for clean deep sweet blue scents. Platinum Egoiste is just my success fragrance always puts me in a positive mindset and a go getter vibe. Chanel Egoiste is just the most exotic concoction of all, amazingly blended, a unique & mature scent for a working man in the winter. Chanel has high quality scents.
Yay I love to see a Chanel list! I think my top Chanel at the moment is Pour Monsieur EDP so smooth and classy. I can't wait until I can acquire a bottle of Boy, I had a decant that I absolutely loved. I can see similarities between Egoist and No18 but Egoist always reminds me of Bois Des Iles little brother. Edition Blanche is unmistakably unique Homme Sport incredibly refreshing and Homme a classic for all occasions. Allure Homme Sport Cologne is one I love wearing in summer or a warm climate like Thailand too! Best wishes from Australia.

I'm in love with Pour Monsieur edt, Egoiste and Antaeus. Bleu is solid. The rest of the designer male selection is nothing I care about. All in all the female targeted Chanel designers are better imho. The quality is undoubtedly top notch correlate to other brands, even Dior or Hermes.
I have 24 different bottles of Chanel including vintage ones and I’m in love with everything they do. Ten years passed since last major release for men and I believe something new should be released this year, but virus broke everything. I hope they will release it in 2021.
Smelled Egoiste recently and reminded me quite quickly of Caron´s Le 3e Homme. From Chanel I have Blue de Chanel EDP, and Allure Homme. Just added Boy and Paris Biarritz to my wish list after this video, also need to check out Sycomore.
They’ll probably have something new next year. In thirty years, they have only released three fragrances, Egoiste - 1990, Allure -1999, Bleu - 2010. A new fragrance every ten years. For me, Egoiste would be top followed by the EDT of Coromandel and then Allure Eau Extreme just for its great flexibility.

You are so right !!! We absolutely need an allure homme parfum version. This was my 1 st fragrance from my late Father. It's one of the things that make me remembering my father. Thanks for the review.
There is something 'heavy' about almost all Chanel fragrances...no matter how 'light' the notes may be. It may be the physical components of the juice itself or maybe chemical characteristics of the aldehydes...not sure...but even the Sport and Bleu fragrances have that heaviness. In some of their fragrances it takes on a creamy feel and others its just a heaviness which is difficult to describe. Ultimately its the same result...they are not that easy to wear and can be cloying and headache inducing. I do not experience that with Dior fragrances.
Love Pour Monsieur and agree the EdT gets the slight edge. I feel like UA-camrs sleep on this one in general.. easily my favorite from Chanel as a classy daily wear.
I thought 1957 was going to break in here. And Coromandel, though I suppose you were trying to focus on the more male marketed fragrances. It's a good list. I've been wearing Boy more and more and have started to really enjoy it, how it develops and dries down. Regarding AHSee, it is funny how compliments come in the form of "Something smells good." It is hard for people to put their finger on it. Whereas other Chanels people can point out what smells so good. I think the exclusives are just great though, heavy on natural elements and so perfectly blended and elegantly packaged.
My Top 5: Egoiste (my love), Boy, Sycomore, Antaeus, Platinum Egoiste. All last pretty well, with Egoiste being the best, 10+ hours and if I dont shower in the evening I can smell the fragrance the next day when the shower steams up. Sandalwood loves my skin and I love sandalwood.

Antaeus was placed in my father's wardrobe. back then i had absolutely no sense of fragrance type etc. i just made few sprays . it was winter evening. When i reached school. I received compliments. It was later on probably stolen from my fathers wardrobe by some one as we couldnt find it in our home. Now i realize what we lost. I will definitely buy one soon but original is original. i wish i had inherited that bottle :(

I feel like Eau Extrême is very light at first and then becomes a bit mature or darker on the dry down, it doesn’t last long but I consider it an everyday (including office) for Texas climate. I use Edition Blanche for hot days (which has been lately), and then Chanel Bleu Parfum during winter. I use those as everyday, then I play with others like JPG-LeMale-Parfum and some FDM scents for special occasions. I also have 100 others that I play around with but I have my Chanel safety-net set up lol.
The original Égoïste recipe was unbeatable, sadly some of the composants have become illegal and the smell is very different, they also had an Égoïste concentrated EdP that was limited edition, sadly they emphasized the wrong components and few people liked it. I wore Cuir de Russie and that was quite androgynous!!!
Hi, I owned both and I actually sold Platinum Egoiste as initially I liked that slightly metallic scent but got bored of it, performance wasn't very good on my skin either. I still own Pour Monsieur and although performance still isn't great, is classier and fresher and has more depth imo.
Alure, the original, used to be my absolute favorite back in the early 2000s. But, as you said, it has no power theese days. A concentrated version would sell like mad.

In my opinion chanel is very boring house, if compare chanel and dior, dior has 3 regular line: fahrenheit(masculine gasoline) , homme(classic iris) , sauvage(fresh all year signature scent), and all fragrances have good longevity. Chanel allure in my opinion boring, even Gucci guilty absolute and gucci intense oud, much-much better than chanel fragrance(if we talk about regular line)😉

I was this week at the airport of gran canaria spain and bought the allure sport extreme, the egoiste and the blue edp. They had an offer buy 2, get three. I am very curious about the Paris Biaritz- The exclusives i don't know, are not so available as samples. So at the moment my top 5 is. 1. Pour Monsieur EDT, 2 egoiste, 3 Allure edition Blanche, 4 Allure eau extreme, 5 Blue EDP. Today I also received some samples and an amber I ordered at JOVOy in Paris. Amber 114 histoires, de parfum, than a sample I wore today and immediately i got compliments: Amazing Rouge saray from telier des ors, man this is awesome. But 220 euros a bottle pfff. Than i had samples from perfumes i know i am going to like. Ambre Loupe and Montobacco. very very nice
Love your list but using spots for edt and edp's of the same frag.takes away from other possibilities from their line which could have been highlighted especially when you have them all and I am selfishly looking for my first Chanel. sorry my opinion .

Maybe it's nostalgia playing tricks on me, but you're right, the current Antaeus is but a shadow of its former self. The same can be said of Chanel Pour Monsieur. I struck gold a few years ago and scored a vintage Chanel for Men De Luxe case: 4 oz. each of the cologne and aftershave. Other than some loss of the opening notes, it smells just as great as ever. I also love Allure Homme Sport and its Extreme sibling, but I'd trade them both for an original bottle of Antaeus.
I would definitely like to see a new designer release by Chanel. Perhaps their next release will usher in a new era of men’s fragrance, away from the current ‘Blue wave’ trend. Btw...OG Allure is a my favorite Chanel, extreme is a close second.
Interesting comparism but i personally would never rank anything from the Allure line higher than Classics like pour Monsieur of Antaeus. Even if i don‘t wear these as offen as i used to when they were popular in the 80s /90s - i Never Liked any of the allure Line. AHS for example is so generic and smells really Not high quality Style like the Old ones. Even the Bleu line has someting sophisticated for me which i like..

Bleu de Chanel edt is the best fragrance that Chanel has made in my opinion. It was definitely ground breaking . When it first came out it was groundbreaking and that’s what spawned all the “blue” fragrances. It changed the fragrance world. It’s not groundbreaking now but in 2010 it was.
Boy is great! This or another fragrance from the Les Exclusifs line May be my next purchase. What do you think of Coromandel and Le Lion - recently launched? Coromandel is on the masculine side to me.

EdT is a great scent but very fleeting. 1 hour on me and it's gone. Shame. Is EdP longer lasting?

I would definitely like to see a new designer release by Chanel. Perhaps their next release will usher in a new era of men’s fragrance, away from the current ‘Blue wave’ trend. Btw...OG Allure is a my favorite Chanel, extreme is a close second.

Interesting comparism but i personally would never rank anything from the Allure line higher than Classics like pour Monsieur of Antaeus. Even if i don‘t wear these as offen as i used to when they were popular in the 80s /90s - i Never Liked any of the allure Line. AHS for example is so generic and smells really Not high quality Style like the Old ones. Even the Bleu line has someting sophisticated for me which i like..

Bleu de Chanel edt is the best fragrance that Chanel has made in my opinion. It was definitely ground breaking . When it first came out it was groundbreaking and that’s what spawned all the “blue” fragrances. It changed the fragrance world. It’s not groundbreaking now but in 2010 it was.
Try Pour Monsiuer or Platinum Chanel.. they’re both “groundbreaking”

Allure Homme extreme sport would be the greatest if it had better longitivtiy.
I repurchased AHSEE in December and it has 8-9h longevity.
You forgot Chanel Allure Homme Sport Cologne. Stunningly good in summer. Surprised it is not here.

Coromandel I love but I left it off cause it’s more femme leaning. Le Lion I have not tried it yet!
