AS-44 >> Federov by a wide margin imo. I kitted my squads out with Federovs based on all of the youtube content praising it, but as soon as I used a fully upgraded AS-44, I swapped all of my Federovs out for them. I wish I had finished grinding the Soviet Assault Engineers so I could run them with AS-44s.
Personally, I think 650 - 750 RPM is the sweet spot. lower its more of a thumper, and higher you chew threw ammo too quickly.

thats why i use fedorov for all assaulters. Sure, bad visibility and recoil, but high risk high reward is the good way to go in this context
