My Dad asked, "Is it any good?" to which came the reply, "Let's put it this way...if you like it you can keep it". She's great as a backup vocalist but that's where it stops. Let's face it, without the proper "connections," there's no way she get's a recording contract.

i feel sorry for bruce and patti's kids reading these comments which im sure they must do. Patti has a fabulous voice and is really unique. She got onto the band b4 they were ever a couple so its not nepotism its based on talent. Then he married her would u blame him she's beautiful. Rumble Doll is in my Top 10 albums of all time. Complete and total "heartspace". Funny thing is, although I like her husband's music, he would not even be in my top 50. Patti melts me. Saw her live in 1995 I believe it was?, and her concert was so intimate and "magic in the air" :) I'm an economist/professor and I use one of Pati's lyrics as my definition of economics for my students -- "I'm just frightened of the price I have to pay, for every good thing in life that comes my way" -- the study of opportunity costs.

eh the difference is she's 25 years older, a mom of 3 and due to the gender discrimination existant in the world, Bruce gets lauded for being so fit and energetic for his age whilst if Patti leapt around on stage like that ppl wud say she needs to start acting her age and be dignified. Patti has a unique voice that can be loved by some and hated by others. If she was just a coffee house singer, it would be fine. I can see how some might love her solo. But she is useless with the E Street band. Her placement has become way too prominent on the stage after her marriage. I am sick of seeing her strumming her guitar without any energy and they might as well turn her mike off during concerts. When she goes get a solo during a Bruce concert, she sounds like a freaking alien.
More power to her if she wants to do solo tours. But I do not want to see her in a prominent place on the E Street stage. I do not recall her once adding anything to the E Street sound with her ridiculous guitar playing during E Street concerts. She uses it as a prop. And what happened to the Scialfa who showed energy in that Glory Days video. Her on stage demeanor during E Street concerts is horrible. It's like Bruce is Citizen Kane force feeding his wife on us.
