    Bought three of these beautiful glass jars from Goodwill for $3. I had no idea they were candle jars. I used them to store my coffee, sugar & creamer. I love your idea, I think I'll add the knob to the top of mine. Thanks for sharing.

    Your ideas really inspire me so I finally tried this one. since I didn’t have larger crushed glass i used Swarovski Crystals as an alternative. It is a little more expensive in most stores but I buy mine online for cheap. It has the same glam/ shine as the large glass pieces so it looked similar.

      Really pretty! I love this project so much, but I only have candle holders with a metal lid like this:
      dorotheabeauty.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/candles-bath-and-body-works-01-e1430487772548.jpg
      or small glass ones shaped kind of like this:
      www.candlesandsupplies.net/Premium-Glass-Dome-Lid
      I don't think they would have the same impact as your glass ones with the crystal knob placed! GBY!

      Sacred Sagittarius " Angels Answer All"... I think the Mod Podge is a lot more thicker than the spray... I haven't tried the spray but I'm thinking that it won't hold the heavy pieces of glass like the regular Mod Podge will.

      Al principio es cola blanca con vidrio triturado. Despues se deja secar, y los espejos pequeños los pegas donde quiera y en el borde donde quedan espacios libres. Y los brillantes de las letras, los venden en los chinos, en tiras. A 1 €. Vienen unos 40 x lo menos.
      Lo peor es el vidrio triturado, donde se encuentra eso!!

    would you recommend spraying the glass with some type of sealant? If so, what kind?

    • @Eleganceonabudget
      @Eleganceonabudget  6 років тому +1

      You can spray it with a clear gloss but make sure you buy one that doesn't yellow... you can purchase the clear gloss from Michael's KRYLON is a good brand to use.

    Do you seal it with anything after? Wouldn’t you cut your hands when you pick it up

      No need to seal the crushed glass because it's processed so it's not harmful.

    Are these hard to clean, what would be the best method to clean them?

    • @Eleganceonabudget
      @Eleganceonabudget  6 років тому

      blkbrn1952... Very easy to clean... a dry cloth and wipe the crushed glass gently and the shine should appear🤗

    Hi, they are beautiful! I don't have any empty candle containers like these with nesting glass lids. Can you recommend a place where I can buy empty ones on a budget? Thank you.
