I have a 2008 Infiniti g35 sedan no crank no start and my bcm is throwing a u1000 code on the obd

The U1000 code stands for “Manufacturer-Specific Network Communication Code,” which typically means one module didn’t receive the message it was expecting to get from another module. You can request me here: justanswer.9pctbx.net/c/361369/1342681/9320

Thank you ! I wish you lived closer 😊you’re so smart ❤thanks for all your help . Also I did have a mobile mechanic come out and checked circuits with a volt meter . He said they all looked good. I got the BCM from Module Experts in Jacksonville FL. Luckily there’s a lifetime warranty. Guess I’m going to send it back in 😢 hopefully they can get it right.

You are most welcome and thank you for the kind words. Glad to hear there is a lifetime warranty on the BCM.

I took my 08 g35 to the dealership and they gave me a new bcm and programmed it but my car still will not crank it cycles to on and then the screen light turns off and back on everytime I try to start it but I can’t get a crank, do you have any ideas of what it could be?

Your best bet would be to start by checking for codes and communication in the engine control module, and in the body control module. You could also, check the starter relay and the inputs to the starter relay to determine what's missing, preventing it from activating.

I recently fixed 2012 g37 with similar issue. The A/T controller fuse in fuse box next to battery was blown. That fuse powers the transmission computer. In my case the Snow Mode button was shorted, and that SM button is on the same circuit as the transmission computer. Other Indicators of this issue are Shift Postion codes stored in the BCM, and no (P) displayed while in park, on the instrument cluster. If the vehicle doesn't know it's in Park, the PCM won't engage the starter.
