True. One can see that when completing all the quests, as he is going out of his way to help even though the looming threat of the crystals draining the land and the antagonist's desires is present.
Fun fact, Morbol was called Marlboro for a long time like the cigarettes. And his signature move is called Bad Breath, like the cigarettes 😆 Love those small details in Final Fantasy
This was cool! Having a second look at Odin, the two horns on his head look like gnarled tree roots, which could be a call to Yggdrasil the world tree!

I just finished FF16 and I stuck at games in general but I love them for their amazement and beauty which is 100% what this game turned out to be! I played on tourist mode aka “Story Mode” and think the good Dr. Emily Zarka should as well. It’s Game Of The Century for me without a doubt. #CliveJill ❤️💔
I was hoping they could have showed her more of the in-game Odin. Cause in the games lore, Odin is known as ‘The Warden of Darkness’ and instead of having the power of lightning he has power over some type of red and black flames, something I like to call the Element of Darkness.
Minor corrections: It's not a pangolin, it's a armadillo lizard (even bites it's own tail like one). It's not a dodo, it's more like a moa. Though ostritch is close, but moas have a closer beak. In fact, the phorusrhacos has the closest beak to a chocobo of the flightless rattite-like species.

Shameful how she ambiguously ascribed Ifrit to an "original culture" which in fact is Islam, and then at the end alludes to it as a pre-Islamic creature, which is completely inaccurate. Check your biases at the door doctor
Shame you're such a dull-witted fool that you actually believe there existed no other culture before Islam. Islam is renowned for having absorbed and changed mythologies from ancient Arabic cultures much like Christianity did with western pagan mythology in Europe.

FF has always taken from real life mythology and it makes complete sense how she's interpreting it. Not to mention, it seems as though Square Enix themselves invited her to do this, so maybe the company actually thinks she has some valuable insight and want her to share how their interpretations of these gods and creatures line up with the real world mythologies they were borrowed from. I love this. And I love Eikons. So epic.
Garuda is my favorite eikon tbh, and favorite to play in terms of gameplay.
Mine is Bahamut

With so many click-bait reaction videos out there, this was an incredible breath of fresh air.

Not telling about shiva a hindu goddess is a misses opportunity.
Well the FF version isn’t anywhere close to the Hindu God.
Matt Easton AND Emily Zarka?!

wow what a great vid
Dr. Z!!
No モーグリ( Moogle ) ? 😢

Actually, Dr. Zarka got Fafnir design wrong. I too thought it reminded me a pangolin but it's more like a Spiked Lizard of sorts.
missed Bahamut?
That's because the Bahamut of mythology is a turtle and I think that would've flown over this chick's head
She already covered the Wyvern. Bahamut as a dragon is purely a FF creation.
Incorporating representations of a wider diversity of cultures also makes it more inclusive
