Love the look and feel of the Kursks. My only gripe was that the SPD cleats stuck out so much that the shoe was slippery indoors. Mid stride the shoe would slip. Fixed it by supergluing cut out strips of an old inner tube around the area where the cleat was. Definitely made the shoe walkable.
Those look real good. The Shimano CT-5 has been serving me extremely well as a casual spd shoe for almost 3 years now and I have a another pair brand new in the box. Best spd shoe I’ve ever had and I do own some fancy fizik infinito x1 shoes but those are way too narrow for my liking, the shimano CT-5 may not be as fancy and stiff but they are super comfortable on and off the bike on and off road.
Can you do a detailed ride review on these ? Maybe Do a ride with gravel and then one with a fixed gear . Goods and bad. Would like to know how stiff they are for riding
I've had a pair of Chrome Kursk SPDs for about 10 years and I've used them for my daily commute for 3 of those years. They've held up incredibly well and these new shoes are even half as good I'm definitely getting a pair
the Blundstones are my favorite boots, but definitely not suitable for the bike. How do the Chrome Panaracer flats perform on poedos all day long? (office, car, shopping)😊
omg im about to purchase one pair and you don't know how much size info helped me, usually wear 42, 42.5 o 43 on my vans because they fit different each model haha, My feet are a bit wide and I usually wear thick socks. do you think chrome shoes would fit me properly? thanksss great video!
How are the weight of these new shoes? I find my Chrome Kursk to be a bit heavier than my mountain bike shoes. The durability is great and I love the flatter soles but they seem be bit of a slog on longer rides.
As someone who will daily vans until they die the Kursk seems like a good option. A little bit more expensive but I think your getting more. But I’ll have to see if they fit.
I'm still on the fence. I've read online where the shank snaps near the holes for the cleat bolts. Maybe I'm just reading into the negative reviews too much? There's not many merchants near me that sell Chrome shoes and if I do run into issues I don't really want to be stuck paying freight back n forth.
I just got those Scotty Cranmer bmx vans.... still trying them out. They have this "Pop Cush" insole that say they absorb more impacts. I got them for the bikes I run flat pedals on....and the folding pedals on my Dahon. But I'm still looking for an SPD shoe that looks less sporty than my Five Ten Hellcats.
I'm a size 13, got a size 13. Had to return said size 13 and get a size 12... they were too big! The site said to size down but I didn't and followed this true to size opinion in the video. SIZE DOWN PEEPS!
I'm not a skater, so the old black/white SPDs look just like the new all black SPSs. They both look like beefier version of the tenny runners of my youth. Those canvas shoes were not very comfortable or long lasting if you actually ran, jumped, kicked and did all the other day-in-day-out stuff that kids did. So, they just look so old fashioned to me. I do love the color olive, and I like high top shoes. So, I'm going to look into those Southside 3.0s in size 9 1/2 for flat pedals!!! I refuse to buy a clipless bike shoe - long live flats and cages!
These Chromes look great. I have a pair of the converse style ones and when you get to the shops and walk they are so uncomfortable as the back rubs like a b*stard
Removing the soles from at least half of my shoes shouldn't be too hard; they're half off already, except for the ones that are half gone. They are all relegated to lawn-care duties. I have only one new GOOD pair of shoes from New Balance, which I used on my 60 mile "ride my age" birthday ride on Thursday. I think I'm only one of a small handfull of folks who still ride with toe-clips.
I still see fixed gear riders run toe clips. I did prior to swapping to mtb clipless pedals. I'd like to try the road style clipless on the ole fixed gear but I walk a lot too while out riding.
Do they make those for women? Those would be pretty awesome for my wife to use on her road bike because I like to set her up with Shimano SPD pedals to make her more comfy and confident.
It looks like, from the box, it's unisex sizing. Men's sizing is two sizes larger than women's. So, in my case, I wear a US 13. So that, in women's sizing, would be a 15.
I've had chrome shoes before and liked them. But as far as looks, im @ a loss. The dzr's look just as good as the chrome shoes to me. Not criticizing you, i just don't get it. But to each his own.
He rides. He Mechanics. And now, he models shoes. Truly Eric does it all. I'm proud of you, my fellow 43 sized foot brother.
I am bike model

Is there any padding inside those shoes?… on the fence- luv chrome, but the adidas velocity samba looks promising as well
hey bro, do u have new link to buy them? its error on my end
I'd be awesome if the soles of those kicks would have the exact same tread pattern as the Panaracer tires!
I'd love the lace ups to have the tan sole.
Hey Eric! Is it possible to change the insoles of the kursk aw pro?
What did you spray on your hitch?
The green ones are the singularly coolest examples of cycling footwear extant.
Yeah would have died for them in spd, but it’ll be fun to ride in them on flat pedals too
I need those green ones with SPD cleats!
If they made an spd version of that green shoe you unboxed I’d have to try it, that one looks awesome.
Swap out the laces for some black ones and I'm sold. Be interested to see how they hold up after some abuse.
I like the checkers! They’ll be featured prominently until their death!

But can you kick flip in them?
Someone could
DANM those look so SWEET. Are the shoe laces reflective?
Damn you for making me click the link and spend $111.95 on shoes I never heard of or knew I wanted before!!
You got a promo code?
I do not
I need those Kursk AW 2.0 on Olive leaf colorway
How are the weight of these new shoes? I find my Chrome Kursk to be a bit heavier than my mountain bike shoes. The durability is great and I love the flatter soles but they seem be bit of a slog on longer rides.
Same. When my Kursk eventually wore out I switched to Fizik MTB shoes mostly for this reason
As someone who will daily vans until they die the Kursk seems like a good option. A little bit more expensive but I think your getting more. But I’ll have to see if they fit.
OD green is a color that you can't go wrong with.
But how fast can you run in those new shoes??
Subscribed! I don't want you to remove the sole from my shoes. 🤣
Do they run big? I cant decide between 8 or 8.5. I wear 8.5 in Vans if that helps.
Ok I saw the rest of video. Looks like they run true to size.
One pair of DZRs I had hurt my feet bad. Hope these are better.
Suppose that’s subjective, really hard to know
Pretty fly kicks!
Very nice shoes. I bet they don't come in size 50 though. Putting lace holes in the boxes is probably the closest I'll get to these.
Soleless is the new tubeless for shoes
They look great 👍A little disappointed the didn't use the SK tread pattern 😂😂😂
ehh, i really wanted Kursk but bought velosambas, interesting how they are in caparison especially in long term
I wanted velosamba’s at one point… but realized I they truly aren’t my style. Not like the Chromes are
@@Spindatt indeed. Style of kursk are slick
My old Kursk Pro aren`t worn out yet (after years and years of daily riding), and the new Southside 3.0 Pro are already flying to me..........

Knew you'd do a video about these.
I actually prefer the old ones. Like you said there like the dad skateshoe haha and I'm all about that look at the moment 👌
Loving the shoes. already looking at these instead of the Adidas velosamba. Side note why don't we see the tiny house any more?
He was just renting that on holiday
Truth, the house is just rented.
Lol, while I'm over here wavering between them. I already have Five Ten Hellcats but wanting a shoe that looks less sporty while off the bike.
I don't even ride clipped in and you make me want to buy these.
Not enough padding in the shoes for me but my issue is with the noisy freehub on an otherwise very beautiful bike 👌
I flipping totally love the over the top loudness of the freehub haha

Nice shoes oh yeah
i like boots under armor or magnums
Really upset the spd shoes dont come in green :/

@ 4:06 side by side comparison... the DZR's look better, sorry.
The only "clip" pedals I have are the toe hooks lmao

Ha! Jokes on you, the soles of my shoes have already removed themselves.
Well I’ll glue them back on.. THEN TAKE THEM BACK OFF
@@Spindattin my best Palpatine voice possible - DEWITT!!
For the price the DZR's are still good shoes, been living out of mine as a bike courier no problem for the past couple of months
They work fine, a little big for the sizing that I had ordered. Much happier with the sizing of the Chrome’s

They are great looking shoes.
I have really large feet.

Lol these shouldn’t fall off… I hope
Most mom's buy them because they A LOT cheaper and they don't know if the kid is going to use them for skating in a month or on to something else
But what if that’s the reason the kid gives up? Endless cycle.

I'ma change all your shoe plates to SPD-SL.
