That is great that your children eat hot sauce, I am jealous! My parents are from Spain and there food was very bland, so I did not grow up eating hot sauce. Now that I am older, the hardest I go is ketchup, LOL, which is not hot. I do not eat hot sauce, but watching Annabelle eat hot sauce, like I eat ketchup, wow, that amazes me and I am going to try to eat it.
The education always starts at home and your teaching your kids to be respectful and definitely they have values something that we don't in this days unfortunately.

My kids are adults and I had my kids clean up also at a restaurant. It’s the proper way to do. I live in an upscale town and I see how bratty some of the kids are when I’m out in about. I really like how your kids are brought up. Erin your an awesome mom❤

Yes!! I do the same at every restaurant we eat at. I make it a game and stack all of our plates and clean up our mess from the table when we are done. My kids do it on their own now.

Some things I want to comment: as a Mexican myself I like how every time we go to these small restaurants or “cenadurias” , you feel like you’re eating mom or grandmas recipe, home made food instead of large food chains where almost everything feels processed like in a small factory.
About kids education, is the same in Mexico: many kids that come from wealthy families have this “servant” attitude and point of view where cleaning ir even lifting a plate is only reserved for the maid, about the tips, no wonder their families are rich haha

Hi. I am so glad I found your channel. I love seeing you guys on the homestead. I’m living vicariously through you. My mom was a waitress. All my family stacks plates and cleans the table also. We understand. I work at a high school do I understand the stress kids and teachers go through each day. My my work friends would go nuts to learn that the school there is only 4 hours then you can nap. LolThanks for the videos. Wish we all could live a simple life.
Thank you so much! Yes school is very different here. Being a teacher here is like having one of the best jobs. They are very respected and loved. They are also not over worked and parents help a lot at the school.

Mealtime was the most precious time I had with my daughters when they were growing up. I was often away or working long days.
I think it was for my husband as well. Food always brought his family together. 💕💕

Hello... my daughter and I greeted you a few weeks ago as you and your daughter were walking by in front of my in law's home when we were in el rancho. My daughter and wife love watching your videos please keep posting. Also, my daughter apologizes for not being able to make it to la plaza that night at 7:30pm... the family took us on a day trip to Atotonilco and we returned home late. The next morning we left to Guadalajara to visit my family. Unfortunately we are back in California now but my daughter Aimee hopes to meet you and your girls for a play date next time we return to el rancho. Also, my mother in law says you are welcome to check out her house anytime she's in el rancho. Saludos!

Reminds me of the places I'd go with my parents in Reynosa, Mexico. We lived in south Tx, in McAllen, the valley, and we'd go to those clothes and shoe stores and go eat like the places you went with your kids. I now live in the state of WA, I do love it here. However, I also do miss the moments like that with my parents in Mexico. I try my best to remind my children of their culture and to teach them their Spanish. :) So far they have loved the Mexican foods I know how to cook. I had to teach myself, watching youtube. Trying my best to emulate dishes I used to have. I like watching you cook as well, to get other ideas I have not tried. It's so cool to see the authentic enchiladas, I have to try that. It looks so much easier. Thank you again. :)

15:27 The more wealth the less empathy, this is universal and cross cultural. Here in Mexico for example it is well known that the people who give more to the teletón charity are the poorest people, because they experience everyday what it is to not have.
Personally I had a rich friend who would never ever tip pizza delivery. When I inquired about this he said with clear disgust in his face: "they have their wages". Mind you they have awful wages and they depend a lot on those tips.
Most people who have been wealthy a while just don't care.
It talks in the bible about this. I try my best to teach my kids in hopes that if any of them do grow up with more financially they will understand to give even more. thank you for watching. Yes there is Chinese restaurants i am pretty sure because i been to Guadalajara and there were a lot of them ,but i am pretty sure they enjoy this types of food better than Chinese!
