Hon ble mam , 8:09 my son has got supply in cc13 English honours under Calcutta University 2023and after listening and watching your valuable , nicest explanation is very much helpful to my son,so keep forward and remain me thankful to you
One of thhe loveliest lectures of my love. As you mentioned at the end, I find myself at the very same position. This is not a part of my syllabus, but what got me interested was simply its relation to existentialism and, honestly, its length. Looking at it I thought, "why not!" And after this beautiful lecture, I find myself in a position of supreme excitment to move to your other two lectures. Super exited. Amazing lecture. Thank you so so so much ma'am. Lots of love.
Ma'am I apologize for the brazen request, but I hope in the coming days you could spare some time to deliver a concise lecture about thesis, research topics, research techniques and your personal experience in this regard. With research project coming up in the following semester and having no clue about where to start, you are the only one we can rely on. Thank you
Ma'am i feel so lucky to have you🙏 the way u explain every tough concepts so easily i understand everything...u r like farishta in our life✨ thank you so soo much ma'am 🛐🛐
Thanks a lot ma'am ... Your videos are really helpful and perfect . Can you please make a video on The Good Woman of Szechuan by Bertolt Brecht . Really need it .
Ma'am, can you please tell that among the three main philosophies that you explained- existentialism, absurdism and stream of consciousness, this text is an example of only absurdism, right? Or is it also an example of the other two in some aspects?
Stream of consciousness is not a philosophy but a technique of fiction writing not applicable to drama. Waiting for Godot is more about absurdism. But there are some common themes between existentialism and absurdism. However, existentialism is not exactly same as absurdism.
@@NibblePop Understood. Thank you so much Ma'am... Love you from the depth of my heart... ❤ I never understood how you are able to reply within minutes of asking a question in the comments being a professor... 🥰
Respected Ma'am i have a question why do other characters like Lucky and Pozzo not wait for Godot? We see that only Estragon and Vladimir keep on waiting for Godot till the end of the play.
They wait too, for some other thing perhaps , we all wait. Godot is not a definite person or thing, the play is about waiting not Godot. So it does not matter if Pozzo or Lucky wait for him/her/it or not 😊
@@NibblePop ua-cam.com/video/1ddsl5nPfAc/v-deo.htmlsi=fyOjeihgDXgrBbPG She uses the same terminology, same examples, and kinda just rephrased/reshuffled most of his points from this lecture in 2009.
I don't think so to be honest. The subject of discussion is the same hence their will always be points of similar notion, one cannot just go on to change the entire contents of the play in order to provide a new insight, I feel like the essence of both the lectures are very different, the presentation is different as well, in my humble opinion that is. I found both videos to be quite engaging, the other person seems to be a person who is in tune with the audience, engaging with them with a sort of innate humour and understanding of the play but the lady here I think is more in tune with the emotional aspects of things in the play but everyone looks at things differently I guess so yeah.
Wow...what an explanation
It feels like I almost imagined everything even that stream of conciousness thing.
Thanks a lot for such profound insights.❤

What are the sources of your reading ma'am ?
I rely on the text itself and also there are books on modern theatre and existentialism from where I gathered these ideas.
I’m sorry, but is this not an almost beat by beat restatement of Nick Mount’s discussion of this show?
Sorry but I am not familiar with that. Would love to see. Can you post the link here?
