Wishful thinking. Mankind will destroy itself or something will do it. If you add Nazism, Communism, Crime, Christian Supremacy and Islamic Supremacy together you get what is the real Human spirit. I remember in 1964 A woman was murdered while idiots watched from windows doing nothing. 2019 3 trans influencers were attacked and the crowd was enjoying it. In 1979 I had a rule make science fiction as negative as I can get it. Negativity is actually reality. In the time it took me to type this about 10 women had experienced violence. Multiple people had been shot and hundreds of homes had break in and home invasions.
It's a lot to watch. I used to watch a season in 2 days but my eyes were square lol. And it probably wasn't good for my vascular system as well. Be careful please;)
Honestly I remember loving this show when I was young but i just find it so hard to watch due to the limitations of the tv tech at the time just so b or c movie quality (which I don’t hate but just find hard to watch now as it’s jarring)
When people ask me why I love this show, I point them towards scenes like this one. Outstanding writing, master class level acting, and incredible visual effects and make-up. This is the way TV sci-fi should be done. 👽💯👽💯👽🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

A series way ahead of the others ... its story telling is told in century's and its villains are millions of years old ... The characters especially the minbari are complex and deep and you never can tell just what's gonna happen next... Many of the cast have now passed on beyond the Rim.... I for one miss you all. ...some of the monologues especially G'kars still give me pause hearing them . Because of that great story telling B5 WILL ALWAYS BE A BEACON OF LIGHT .
No, they didn’t. But recall Londo Molari who said “Ah, arrogance and stupidity all in the same package. How efficient of you.” Yes, I thought, many of us certainly can be, when it comes to our perceived power in the world, and now in the galaxy. Hopefully, when we do expand out beyond our solar system, we go humbly with our curiosity and meet our galactic neighbors with respect and open minds and hearts rather than fear, hatred and guns. IDK, just a thought.
That is a universal concept everyone but the Minbari embrace. The League of Non Aligned worlds was a trading collective with the chief two members being the Narn and Centauri, two greedy nations constantly grabbing territory and demanding the other cease trade. Hence Delenn cannot really say being greedy is exclusively human.
A wondeful What-if is what if Delenn had accepted the Minbari leadership. Would the Minbari participation in the Shadow war have been larger? Would the Shadows have targetted Minbar like the Vorlons did to Centauri Prime?
Watching this, and how much the Minbari’s treatment of humanity has hinged upon prophecy, I get to theorising why some of Earth’s people, and their representatives, would become resentful of all that - not just as a cause of the Earth Alliance civil war ; I’d say that was a minor factor. But in future conflicts - particularly those which split the ISA, centuries down the line, as we see in “Deconstruction of Falling Stars”? I would say that the desire for some of humanity to reject prophecy, and all the influence that it’s had on humankind - all the lives it’s ended up costing, at the whim of Minbari rather than humans - I would say that became a major factor in an Earth secession from the ISA, all those centuries later. I don’t say this while condoning the xenophobia that we saw a lot of humans demonstrating, in the Babylon 5 series - indeed, I can see why JMS was clear enough about xenophobes generally being the bad guys, never mind my personal views on it all. But I’m saying, if you had to make a justification, which maybe toppled the first of many dominoes leading right up to the scene where the Garibaldi hologram destroys everything, then it would probably have to be that enough humans wanted to be masters of their own destiny; to choose who they would fight and die for, rather than seemingly be pawns in some mysterious Minbari agenda. I don’t know how much my theory lines up with JMS’s meta-narrative, mind.
@@JK-Visions I’d love to ask him if my theory is even remotely near the mark 😊 Or if maybe he hadn’t put any details into that part of the “far future” story at all.
Without the Minbari war the Earth Alliance would not have done such an aggresive expansion, which would have led to a much much diminished EA at the start of the 2nd Shadow War and no Babylons. With this diminished position it is very unlikely the galaxy would have come together to fight off the Shadows. In a sense, the destruction the Minbari wrought on Earth forces ended up saving the galaxy. With that in mind, I think they can take a little resentment.

O don't think so. Anyone? I asked the chat gpt. It's answer was: Two Triluminaries Shown JK Visions In Babylon 5 there were mentioned 3 triluminaries . We're they all in the show? In the Babylon 5 series, the three Triluminaries were mentioned but only two of them were actually shown on screen. The Triluminary is an ancient device that was created by the First Ones, a powerful and advanced race that lived in the galaxy long before the younger races. The first Triluminary was discovered on the planet Epsilon III, and was used by the crew of Babylon 5 to activate the Great Machine, which was also created by the First Ones. This Triluminary was a small, handheld device that glowed with a blue light when activated. The second Triluminary was discovered by the Minbari during the Earth-Minbari War. This Triluminary was much larger than the first and was used by the Minbari to identify the reincarnated soul of Valen, the Minbari religious figure who had helped to create the Minbari Federation. The third Triluminary was mentioned in the series but was never actually shown on screen. Its whereabouts and purpose were never fully explained in the show.
I liked Delenn, until I finally thought about her backstory harder and realized she never paid any price for genocide against the human race, and then playing politics to allow Narn to be turned into a desolate slave colony. There's no way the relationships would be so fond and love interests with that in the background.

No, she was defending the truth. Like all fanatics, both the Vorlons and the Shadows were wrong because they had taken one element to an extreme it couldn't support. Chaos alone cannot produce anything. Order alone breeds stagnation. But chaos that upsets stagnation and then is brought to order brings growth. That is the strength of both the humans and the Minbari: their ability to grow through the cycle of chaos and order.
