- Pop group Girls Aloud have announced a massive reunion tour for 2024, bringing their 11-year break to an end.
Cheryl, Kimberley, Nadine and Nicola will hit the road in May, playing "all the hits" and "a few favourites of our own".
The shows will be dedicated to their former bandmate, Sarah Harding, who died of breast cancer in 2021.
The band sat down with the BBC to discuss details of the upcoming tour.

I’ve supported them, we were a real band, they were a bad mime.
When their “sound engineer” played the wrong song they all stood there staring at him from the stage.

Was too young to really know or understand her bullying but as a gay boy at school in Dublin I assure you I could relate.

So happy to see the respect they have for each other. Working together, letting each other have a chance to speak. Some of them were never great friends, but they were successful because they respected each other as coworkers.
They grew up and became mature.

@@mecsdumexique2110 Cheryl, Kim, and Nicola were always good friends. Kim wrote in her book that Sarah liked to be alone more, and that Nadine was always in her own world and always late lol.

Ah, this should be fun. They were always a very energetic band and had some great tracks. Some years ago I was at Xmas dinner party and someone asked me “what do you want for Xmas”…. I replied “Girls Aloud” 😉….. my wife wasn’t at all happy 🫢….so sad when Sarah Harding passed; always a shock when some younger than oneself dies. 😥
I knew GA would reform. It's what Sarah would have wanted.

I’ve seen the tour you’re showing and it was one of the best nights ever in 2011 I don’t think I can go to this new tour without crying the whole way through because Sarah was my favourite so no I don’t think it’s right going on tour without the mold everytime I here here voice I cry 😢

if Girls Aloud can do it, so can 1D, I am still manifesting that one direction will reunite one last time. The Beatles aswell, "Now and Then" came back to release that single a couple of weeks ago now, after around 30 odd years? All of our old favourites are coming back, I see it.

@@vladichkoto I don't even care if it's new music, fans would be more than happy with old unreleased stuff, even for their last GH album they said there was enough recorded material for a full album and we only heard 4 tracks out of that... and I remember before Tangled Up was released there was leaked tracklisting and among the songs that made it to the album there was a track called "Bored Stupid" which we never got, not even as a B side. Then there's their cover of "Wicked Games" which was supposed to be a single but was scrapped... so there must be lots of never heard before music that they could release.

For Cheryl it was too hard, she wouldnt feel good if she made a promise and couldn't keep it. I live in Canada and I told my Mother about New Edition's legacy and it's ripple effect and she was surprised.

GIRLS Aloud keep telling us their big reunion is all about honouring bandmate, Sarah Harding, who tragically died of breast cancer in 2021 aged just 39. Is it?
Or is it really about their dwindling bank balances and the fact they know that. if they don’t cash in on what's left of their fame, it'll soon be gone. It feels a bit exploitative for them to keep invoking Sarah’s memory in every interview
they do. They could honour her in so many ways that aren’t quite so public and quite so financially self-rewarding.
