I haven't seen this video before, like all your videos it's really good, informative and inspiring. You also produce a lovely picture. I also think the commentary is really helpful. Thank you.

Karen, you have the gift to be able to talk/teach while painting. Not everyone has that gift. If students don’t want to hear you talk, they can lower or turn off the sound. I am a very senior citizen and I learn from what you say.
Thank you for these videos, I appreciate them.

YES, couldn't have said it better. I love to know the thought process and the why! Commentary please. Just like when people find a video too fast or too slow, you can adjust speed on the video.

I agree with Rosalie, you are my favorite pastel teacher. It is so clear that you were once a teacher and a good one I can tell. Thank you for painting and teaching. Don't stop, there isn't anyone else that can teach like you do.

I had the best time painting alongside you, so to speak. Very happy with my finished piece and one of my big takeaways is the ability to make more interesting grays that glow.

That Rocky Mountain set of pastels would still be good to use in the Southern coastal area of England where i am from, there really is a good selection of colour. Love the sky painting, can you do some more?. Thank you for this video

This was such a great lesson. Must step back and look at your painting. And I giggled because I just did my first painting after a long pandemic funk a few days ago. I usually snap a cell phone photo because I find it helps me to see it from a perspective, and sure enough, there was an alligator in my sky! lol

Thank you for doing this, so wonderfully inspiring, especially all the colours which aren't there. I was trapping into trying to get the same colours, you demonstrate how a non exciting photo becomes a very exciting work of art, and so fast!!!

Great lesson Karen. I'm curious. Where did you get your MingArt paper? It is my favourite paper. I have a neighbour who brings me some everytime he comes from China but since COVID he hasn't been going back and forth.

Thanks! I first got mingart paper at the IAPS convention and then in 2019 they were selling it on amazon. I have a small stash left. I hope they will resume selling on amazon or at least come to IAPS in 2022 and I will stock up!
