I bought the book and made these earrings, I'm in love ❤❤ & I'm working on a pair with a looped fringe. I'm not a beginner beader but if you are get the book & just take your time, you absolutely CAN make pretty earrings and move on from there. TY for the joy x

Hi can I ask what size thread guards do you use?

I use 4.5mm x 4mm usually. But I have a few different sizes I’ve ordered accidentally 😂 and they all usually work in a pinch.

What type of needle do you use? The one I have is a little too flexible. Also what is the difference between the two types of thread?

It’s a size 12 needle and the difference in the thread is the flexibility. The Fireline gives you stiffness for the top section and the nylon thread makes the fringe flow without being too stiff.

How do I keep the top portion aligned. The beads are off, am I pulling the thread too tight?

Hmm, it's hard for me to diagnose without seeing it. But if you are talking about how the rows line up, it should be like building with bricks so each row lines up with the "cracks" or the row below; they don't sit directly on top of the beads below.
