sheesh that's hard work I worked with two older guys that had been doing it thier whole lives also I was the goffer. I helped mix the mud set up and tear down scaflle, stack block and goffer anything they needed hard work but amazing what them 2 could do with just me as a helper
Mexicans might come the first months to learn how to build with wood, but, we build with stones and Bricks by thousands of years, We got a long masonry tradition.
The Spaniards had never seen anything like Tenochtitlan. It was several times larger than Madrid, with massive palaces and plazas, zoos and gardens. Bernal Diaz del Castillo, one of Cortés' men, describes Tenochtitlán: “When we saw all those cities and villages built on water; and the other great towns on dry land, and that straight and level causeway leading to Mexico, we were astounded. These great towns and shrines and buildings rising from the water, all made of stone, seemed like an enchanted vision from the tale of Amadis. Indeed some of our soldiers asked whether it was not all a dream. It is not surprising therefore that I should write in this vein. It was all so wonderful that I do not know how to describe this first glimpse of things never heard or, never seen, and never dreamed of before.” The other city known as Teotihuacan's, between the first and fifth centuries, 125,000+ people lived in the city, which was larger than the walled city of Rome.
Not just that. we studied the cosmos and did math without any outside knowledge, we did it independently. which is why i get mad when i see gangs and illiterate people not knowing of our past.
No. He's only a Journeyman. A Master is one with the same cigarette but with smoke curling up into his face so he has to close one eye and work with the remaining eye squinting half closed.😁
I own a small company and used to be harsh on my guys who smoked on-site. I learned very quickly that it was the only reason why jobs were getting done on time. If a smoker wants to smoke you gotta let them, especially if it's physical work!
I love how he just works away with a cigarette in his mouth it was something I always saw people do growing up and even do it myself if the job permits but I really don't see people doing it anymore I suppose it's for the best smoking is a terrible habit and I'm glad to see more and more people quit or never start in the first place
As a masonry inspector, the “gap” appears to be a transition from 12” thick cmu block to 8” thick cmu block which sort of leaves a gap. It all gets filled and finished to look better in the end
@@SanDiegoBuckeye well thank you for the information I was unaware it was different size blocks. I understand it will be filled later im just a perfectionist who hates empty space between anything construction related. I think i might have a bit of OCD.😂
